HI,

I went to the doc yesterday to have my vitamin injection and the nurse there had 10 mercury fillings in her mouth, and she said she felt fantastic and had no health compliants!!

is there any research on why mercury only seems to effect certain people and not others?

As far as I know, some people are better at excreting toxins. They have found with autistic children that they are missing something in their body chemistry, which makes it extremely difficult for them to excrete mercury (I don't know if it applies to other metals or toxins). <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/frown.gif" alt="" />

Aswell as the excretion problem, some people are more sensitive to the mercury and toxins than others - kind of how alcohol affects some people differently.

My personal theory is that those who are sickest are those who are both sensitive and slow excreters, wheras those who are likely to recover quickest are those who are sensitive but fast excreters.

It's very comparible to the LD50 for drugs. When they try to figure out the average dose that will kill 50 percent of lab rats, some of those lab rats will be well above the LD50 and some will be well below the LD50.

It very similiar with mercury sensativity. This gov't set bar, saying if you are below a certain dose you aren't toxic, it's false.

As little as 0.1 ug on a hair test is enough to get some people (like in my case).

Some people retain mercury and do not eliminate it easily, so it simply goes in and pretty much doesn't readily come out, so poisons them continually.

Others eliminate what goes in pretty efficiently, so it usually shows up readily in their hair and urine levels, which shows they are ridding it into the excretory areas. Others can show very low levels in hair and urine, but be highly poisoned by it because it's not coming out.

Or the very low levels can mean low levels, but they are just easily poisoned and made ill by even low levels of mercury.

So yeah it's down to sensitivity/tolerance, ability to excrete and a person's natural constitution.

You can actually be exposed to mercury from the womb by your Mother's amalgams and be poisoned from the word go and then from the womb, to breast milk which contains high levels of mercury (if the Mother has amalgams).

It's very sad, but some people just do NOT deal with mercury on any level.

I agree with what everyone's said here. There are many variables besides the human factor, such as the mercury mixture, your body pH, your eating habits, etc., etc.

I would also add, however, that mercury does not NOT affect anybody.

Mercury, wherever it is, follows the same chemical and physical laws, no matter who the person is. So, even though a person may be a better excreter of mercury, there is some degreee of exposure they do experience, and for many—including perhaps the nurse you spoke to—symptoms may include more emotional factors or I.Q. factors and other factors that affect things that people like them (the nurse) assumes are just a part of their personality.

For example, I was shy, had numerous fears, could not make commitments, didn't trust myself, had low self esteem, etc., etc. and never realized that ALL of these things were caused by mercury.

These problems are now GONE and I never even knew they were "problems". Perhaps the nurse does not either.

I'd be willing to bet that if she was questioned about "small" health issues that she has in her life, we would find numerous things that:

(1) are caused by mercury, and

(2) will become much worse as time goes on.

As a very physically active person, I had NO serious physical symptoms until just a few years before my removal. I was "very healthy", as far as I knew.

I agree wholeheartedly, mercury is so noxious, we are all better without it. Some can survive with mercury in them, but without it, they would be much better off. We can choose to survive or thrive!!!!
