Algin - cheers!

Algin - cheers! - 08/26/13 12:12 AM

I began using Nature's Sunshine Algin last week. My expectations were neutral, as I didn't know what to expect. I have several amalgams and would like to protect myself from mercury, but don't have overt symptoms that I can necesarily trace to this.

I've been taking 2-4 capsules daily:
Increased energy (fairly subjective, I realize)
Chronic constipation (years) gone.
Much improved eyesight! I was a three month preemie, and have ROP... only peripheral vision in my left eye, and nearsighted in my right eye.
Thankfully, it hasn't affected my quality of life, but I have residual symptoms that have
cropped up over the years. I see a retina specialist yearly.
My vision is sharper and clearer. Distance vision has improved. Colors are more vibrant.

I am incredibly thankful for these improvements. I am hoping that they continue.
I'm also going to give this supplement to my hubby and kids.

GREETINGS CAROLINE!
It's great to hear from you once again. We had e-chated regarding the B12 and mercury. I still have the amalgams also and do take the B12 daily. It truly gives me the energy to get up and get moving.
I also take the ALGIN 2 /2X's daily. Yes, it is most helpful in carrying the mercury (heavy metals), out through the bowels. In my case I do have 4 small amalgams and one large one in the upper back, that I hope to get removed in the near future. It has turned black, so I'm sure it is releasing the mercury in my system, so the Algin and DMSA are a life-saver for this gal.

It is wonderful that you are not having problems with your amalgams still intact. Are you planning on having them replaced or removed? If they are the mercury/silver fillings they will sooner or later begin to release the mercury into your system, (most likely). It would be wise, if you can, to have them replaced with the porcelain or plastic feelings. However, there are many people that do not complain of poor health symptoms with the silver fillings. I do have the nagging rash (candida or allergy/uncertain?), that I'm controlling with Vistaril and ALGIN/DMSA.

Does you husband have amalgams? My husband has a few, but has replaced 3 lately, simply because of them wearing out. I hope you continue to do well, Caroline. I would also like to ask, have you asked your Dentist if he feels the amalgams are safe for you to keep intact? Hopefully you will stay healthy.
I have the onset of cataracts, nothing too drastic, but it's probably from the asthma inhaler I must use. It does have it listed as a side effect. Congratulations on your good health, and prayerfully the ALGIN will keep the Heavy Metal Ions out of your body, and the family. Take care, and thank you for the update.
Blessings, Abigail smile

Thanks for the reply! Yes, my husband does have a few amalgams as well. I am
planning to have them removed at some point, and located a biological dentist that
has a good practice. I need to get a consultation and figure out the cost of replacement.
I'm anticipating that it will be expensive.

My current dentist, (and a lovely guy), doesn't feel that amalgams are a problem in general. I don't agree!
I've been able to keep them out of my children's mouths, and that is a blessing.

I'm glad that you are having success as well!
