Can you explain mercury test results please? Alpha lipoic acid, DMSA questions. - 12/01/14 10:43 PM

Hello,

I’ve looked at several websites and articles about mercury tests, but I have not found an article that will sort out the results of this mercury test.

I went to a local clinic for a mercury test. First it was a blood test, but then it became a urine test. Mary, the nice lady who took my blood, spun the blood in a centrifuge out of habit, and the mercury test requires whole blood. So the 2nd time she went with a urine test so she didn’t have to jab me with a needle again.

On the website Detox My Child.org, there’s an article that says blood and urine tests are only helpful for * recent * mercury exposure. For long term exposure, a hair elements test is the way to go. Can anyone verify this?

I had mercury fillings since I was a boy. I had them replaced with ceramic or composite fillings around 15 years ago, to the best of memory. But I did not know I needed a mercury free dentist, who would take the fillings out in large pieces and give the patient his own air supply. A regular dentist drills them out, so a lot of the mercury comes out as vapor.

My problems with depression, anxiety attacks (Some of them lasted as long as 3 months! Four of them lasted for 3 months.), and mind fog got worse * after * the mercury fillings were replaced. Within 4 years of having the fillings replaced, I had 1 influenza shot and a Measles Mumps Rubella or MMR shot.

Also, just last night I started detoxing with the Andy Cutler protocol, take Alpha Lipoic Acid every 3 hours, 4 hours during the night, or as close to 4 hours as is possible. I’m just using regular alpha lipoic acid, not the R-fraction alpha lipoic acid. Does this matter?

I’ve been taking 90 to 100 milligrams each time. Is that too much? I weigh 173 pounds and I'm 6 feet and 2 inches tall.

I also want to add DMSA to pull out more mercury. So far, I don’t know anyone in Minneapolis or Saint Paul who can treat a person for mercury. Would it be best to look for a DAN (Defeat Autism Now) Doctor? Treating myself with alpha-lipoic acid and DMSA seems like too much guess work.

I thought about making that part a separate thread, but it seems more helpful to have it with the test results. (If that’s not how it’s supposed to work, well, I’m new to the forum.)

Thank you for your help!

Mercury creatinine test:
I talked with a resident doctor at the clinic last week. He said creatinine is a waste product of the muscles. It combines with mercury and goes out in the urine.

And the bits proceeded with ==== are notes I added.

The paper reads:
Mercury Creatinine 63
Unit: mg/dL

Mercury Creatinine
Quant Urine
Reference range: 1000 to 2500 ==== This is what they consider normal, but 1000 milligrams per
deciliter sounds dangerously high!
Reference range: 1000 to 25000
Unit: mg/d
Performed by ARUP Laboratories

==== The above part is on a page that Mary gave me. The below part showed up in the mail. The above test looked at mercury creatinine in the urine. The one below is just a plain urine test, but I don't know how this is different from the first test. (And both test results came from the same sample of urine).

If you do know the difference, please explain it to me.

Mercury Duration Urinee

--Welcome to the forum, Anthony!
Please know that you are not alone with all the questions and trying to find the 'right answers', for what does and doesn't work for those treating the mercury within the body. It would be best to 'KEEP YOUR POSTS' together, so we can better understand your circumstances. Thank you.

I would recommend that you DO read the 'testimonies' listed above this Mercury page, Russ Tanner is our Administrator. He can certainly help you, if anybody can. He is into Natural Means, and I do know that he used to take the DMSA, and ALGIN (Absorbs Heavy Metal Ions, Bulking Action Encourages Normal Elimination.)
I buy the DMSA from Amazon.com,and the ALGIN right here, from Russ Tanner's privately owned business, Only the Best Herbs. <http://onlythebestherbs.com/how.php>
BTW: aok I'm turning the light on, in case Russ wants to see this and add anything to it. He's quite often on the 'Who's online' sidebar, in red. You can just click on that, if you'd like to ask him a direct question. Please be patient, as we stay busy, and run more than this one website. Russ, or anyone, can scroll back to see your questions regarding the test results. Maybe since you're with the Andy Cutler protocol, he might be able to answer these questions as well?

Anthony,

Thank you for visiting the forum.

I'm going to read your post and attempt to answer your questions here. Let me know if you have any others questions as we're happy to help when we can.

About Alpha-Liboic Acid: The R-fraction may help, but it's not necessary. Most use the regular form of ALA. Just be sure to back off the doses if you have symptoms. ALA is great, but very strong.

You can go to a doctor if that makes you feel more comfortable, but having spoken to most who have done to doctors to do detox, they discover that the doctors just do for them what they could have done for themselves.

Here is an interview I did that contains a lot of information about detox. I hope this helps:

Please let me know if I can help further.
