does he make youtube videos ? make regular internet articles ? or is he too good for that ?

or maybe the simple solution of chlorella and cilantro will damage his ego too much and he wont be as famous,

and he is just interested in making a name for himself

i dont know. I heard he is a professor and helps people with mercury detox. you can read his stuff on the internet. I did not buy his book. A freind told me about him and said his advice is good.

I need detox aggressivly because my family does not believe me and i need to be strong and independent. So i decided to take his stuff.

Cilantro is very useful, but I don't see it as a complete solution to detox. It moves mercury from CNS to connective tissue, which can then be removed by sulfur or a sulfur compounds (DMSA).

I would only use cilantro later in a detox program, not early.

Cutler is smart, but he's not interested in social acceptance so he's pretty straightforward.

His book is the best I've found on the subject which is why I decided to sell it.

I think this is the reasoning that confuses people. Cilantro is a chelator capable of crossing the blood brain barrier. ALA can do this as well. These chelators don't have specific actions that selectively removes mercury from the brain, it ALWAYS can go both ways. From how I understand it, they can pick up mercury anywhere in the body, and drop it anywhere in the body.

If you just take one big dose, They pick up a lot of mercury, you excrete a little bit of that mercury, and it drops the rest of the mercury all over the body, including the brain. This is called redistribution. All chelators we know of have this downfall, and redistribution is dangerous and can over the long term make you much sicker by concentrating mercury in sensitive areas in the body/brain.

This is why Andy Cutler developed a protocol to keep a steady dose of chelator in the bloodstream, by taking frequent doses of a chelator rather than one large dose. So you would continually excrete mercury but you would have much less redistribution, making it a much safer option.

I agree with gd which is why I opted for long-term slow chelation. I believe doing it this way increases the ratio of:

removed mercury vs redistributed mercury (good)

Sudden high doses of mercury mobilizers have a very high ratio of:

redistributed mercury vs removed mercury (bad)


This is also why I have always said, "Mercury detox is a game of endurance, not speed".

Anything that doesn't let you get a good night's sleep though imo doesn't make that much sense. I did over 20 rounds of chelation last year with ALA/DMSA, but can't use these this year due to sleep problems(no way could I get up in the middle of the night to take a dose, then fall back to sleep). I am trying a regimen now with 48 mg a day of iodine, and cilantro. Cutler says iodine doesn't help get rid of mercury, however a number of others disagree with him on this, and point to studies of increased urine mercury levels with high iodine intake.

The Cutler protocol is one detox method, however it might not be appropriate for everyone all the time. If decent timed release ALA and DMSA would be devised, and it would only be necessary to take it 3x a day, then it would be much simpler.

If you use it and have bad effects which scare the hell outta you move on as said by a guy at work (A smart INDIAN man as well), if it doesn't fit don't force it! Move on to something else that works for you and doesn't nearly kill you and scare you to death. Thats all I can say to you guys on here as I learned from it.


I agree with JK too, one thing is not GOLD and not for everyone as I found out from some detox things. I can't take alot of Garlic not Cayenne etc., nor Papayas! They are not for my body, so I quit them sides reading how great they are for you.

The reason Cutler doesn't like cilantro is that it is not standardized. They aren't even sure exactly which compounds in the cilantro do the chelating. Once they figure this out, then perhaps they could make standardized extracts of it. Until then, one never knows how much active ingredient they are getting with each dose of cilantro, and I guess this can vary greatly. cutler's protocol calls for keeping the dosage and timing of the dosage constant.

I don't know why Cutler is so insistant that high doses of iodine don't cause mercury detoxification. Others have done tests that show that mercury excretion is greatly increased after high doses of iodine are taken. I guess the real issue is trying to figure out why this happens. One guess could be that candida in the digestive system has soaked up plenty of mercury, and the iodine is killing the candida, so the mercury it soaked up can now be released.

I don't think they are standardized but I got cilantro tablets from my dentist's office. It might be the closest thing to a consistent dosage but the price is extremely steep. $179 for 120 tablets.

I agree that high dose iodine definitely helps with mercury detox. In what way I don't know but I received great benefits from taking it and I believe mercury is at the root of my health challenges. We know that it flushes out the harmful halogens like fluoride, chlorine and bromides but I think it helps with metals too. Iodine killing candida is a good possibility. I have heard that before.

Consistent dosage for what? There are many different molecules in cilantro. The active molecule or molecules in the cilantro that does the chelating might vary greatly from plant to plant. First they need to isolate and identify all the molecules that chelate mercury before they can have standardized supplements.

$200 for 120 cilantro tablets???????? Why????? Cilantro is so cheap. I think it is something like $3-4 a pound.

I guess those cilantro pills might be a specially prepared concentrate, like for example the way olive leaf extract is prepared.

I found this though, for under $5. I guess it might just be cilantro stuffed into capsules and not concentrated.

I guess no one wants to pay for the research. I would think this would be something that cilantro growers might want to pay for.
Perhaps some nonprofit organization could fund this?
