Well I just got my hair test results for mercury.
Anyways my score was 0.98 uG/G (I don't have the correct u symbol).
I'm the slightest bit below the level that is supposed to cause negative effects. 1 uG/G and above is supposed to cause problems. A hair test is slightly behind your current mercury levels and my symptoms have been a lot worse lately so I think it might actually be a little higher.
Anyways, do you think I might be more sensative to it than your average person? I have some very severe mood problems (especially anger and irritablity). I have horrible reading comprehension and no attention span (largely due to the mood problems). I have a bad reaction to a wide spectrum of drugs and supplements. Supplements that used to help me, seem to backfire on me and send me into a bad mood. I will have a terrible reaction to as little as half a beer.
Do you think my levels are high enough to rule mercury as the official cause of most my problems?

Hammer, Important thing to remember... Low hair or urine mercury does not necessarily mean low body mercury. Until a person enters "stage 3" mercury toxicity, urine and hair levels are usually low because the body harbors the mercury. This has a lot to do with the high sulphur levels in proteins/amino acids (cysteine) and we have proteins throughout our bodies. Also, people who produce low levels of glutathione have trouble getting rid of mercury and will have low hair and urine levels all the time. These people are especially (as children) prone to autism or other "behavior disorders" or, as adults, prone to short attention spans, moodiness, bouts with anger, etc. I had many of these symptoms myself. Also, the threshold they set is not the same for everyone. Any amount of mercury in the body is harmful. The best bet is to analyze the report yourself. You can use online tools or the Cutler resource entitled Hair Test Interpretation: Finding Hidden Toxicities. Because your symptoms line up so perfectly with those of mercury toxicity, it seems like an obvious conclusions to have that mercury is the source of your issues. Let us know what happens.

I think I'm going to try and get a heavy metal urine test.
Thanks for the info.

Something to think about - if mercury is in your hair, it's in you.
I haven't had any tests to check my mercury levels. Maybe I should, but I can't afford them. However, based on my symptoms alone and their onset, my dentist feels that I have mercury poisoning, and I concur. Even if I don't have high mercury, I might be sensitive to mercury, so the amount I do have is causing problems.
It would be nice to have a doctor to work with, but for me it's impossible.
