A few years into chelation process, I stumbled upon a possible solution to candida, something I have struggled with for many years. Through an unrelated set of circumstances, I was prompted to take black walnut leaf powder, about 900 mg twice a day. Within a few days the rash I have always associated with candida, faded and disappeared. That was about a year ago. The rash still attempts to gain a foothold if I consume to much sugar, but the black walnut, which I take intermittently, seems to swat it back down quite reliably. I did not go on a candida diet of any sort, but we do eat sensibly most of the time (no junk food, reduce sugar, avoid gluten, etc. Also replaced milk with almond milk to reduce lactose.)
Black walnut is an astringent and anti-parasitical.
I buy the black walnut leaf powder by the pound, along with -0- size capsules, which I fill myself. Both come from Starwest Botanicals. The whole shebang cost about $25 and yields about a 6 month supply for my wife and me. We take them each day.
Has anyone else tried this with success?

Thank you docmanic ! That's most kind of you to take the time and share what is working quite nicely for you and 'the little woman'. A few years ago I had a bad case of poison ivy. Within 2 weeks time, I had 3 different people telling me 3 different 'all natural' things they said worked. It finally got to the point that I had to say,"Don't anybody else tell me what natural herbs, etc to take!" LOL! I finally ended up having to get an RX that got rid of the stuff. Now, of course, I avoid ALL contact with that horrible plant that creeps in between my lovely outdoor plants. UGH! 'Gotta watch those "3 leaf" poison plants for sure !What works for one individual does NOT always work for another. Keep on with what you KNOW is helping you.

Cassia JK is not real Cinnamon right? What about Ceylon? I know Cassia is basically Chinese Cinnamon, Ceylon is the real stuff! Have you heard of a difference?
In Sanskrit, tulsi means literally "the incomparable one" and has been revered since ancient times. Tulsi, the holy basil, is said to have grown at the site of Christ’s crucifixion and is associated with St. Basil’s feast.

I know that, but one in higher ammounts cotains a toxin right? The Cassia is not as safe in larger amounts because of a substance it contains. I agree their properties are near the same! They taste different though if you really get down to it, the real one is a little sweeter IMO.
Cassia has properties as well and they do call it Cinnamon, but is it as effective as the real? I don't know but I would prefer the real stuff.
BTW I got alot of the real cinnamon off of Mountain Rose herbs! I got the sticks and grinded alot of them up, not very expensive.

http://health-compendium.com/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=30&Itemid=9Read all of that there. At which rate though and how much? I don't know, but honestly why not use the real thing?

I don't do cassia though, I got a ton of sticks from Mountain rose herbs and made a ton of tincure for cheap pretty much! I will do fine on that JK! Cassia is good I guess if not overused, but in larger therapeutic dosages I will use Ceylon for Candida etc. I handle it better as well! Just me.
I will do the 4 oz too alot, hell that lasts a LONG TIME like you said if used under a Spoonful a day.
BTW for Candida which is the best spice? I used Cayenne a few time but got horrible anxiety the next day and felt horrible for a day or two each time! Too strong? I want a good spice for Candida like Ginger or Cinnamon, but not Cayenne as it really messes up my stomach! I get nightmares off of it, literally.

Raw garlic is probably the best single spice to fight candida. Ginger, cayenne, cloves and cinnamon are also good. I mix garlic powder, ginger powder, cayenne powder, cinnamon, clove powder, and some other spices and put it on my food. I guess cassia might be an issue if you take more than a teaspoon a day. According to wikipedia, a teaspoon of cassia has between around 6 and 12 mg of coumarin, and the German government recommends a maximum intake of 0.1 mg per kg of body weight. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/CoumarinI guess cloves should be taken at less than 2 teaspoons a day, and for longer term use no more than a teaspoon a day. Cayenne increases blood flow, and speeds up the metabolim. It is also very antiparasitic.

So I am guessing by my reactions from Cayenne it is parasites too? I mean it just puts me in a damn near fog when I take it!!!!!!!!!! I feel out of it and huge anxiety and so on in the morning after! LIKE I AM DONE! I will stick with that works for me best, Cayenne is good but it's too strong for me! Ginger is cool as I suck the root at will on night and feel fine the next day! Cinnamon I can take 10 drops or so of my tincture I made and feel fine! Cayenne though! HELL NO I feel like I will die for some reason the next days?
BTW what about some TURMERIC? How about some of those there? Some organic pills? Will that work for blood flow as well?

Do you get enough molybdenum? If candida is killed in lage numbers, you need plenty of molybdenum to detoxify the aldehydes. Are you taking plenty of detox herbs, stuff like red clover, dandelion, licorice, burdock, fo-ti,scisandra? turmeric is very good for liver detox. garlic helps increase blood flow, but the best thing to increase blood flow is cayenne. I sweat profusely if I take too much cayenne at once, but taking it a bit at a time mixed with other spices makes it easy for me to tolerate. If you are trying to take at least half a teaspoon of cayenne powder at at a time, it may cause adverse reactions unless you have built up to that dosage.
