Hi Everyone, I just got results back from a DMSA challenge test that I took. My mersury reading was very low--1.2. I'm quite confused right now because I have so many symptoms that indicate mercury toxicity and yet very little shows on the test. Has anyone heard of this? Is it possible to be very low on a challenge test and still have a mercury issue? Maybe I've got something else going on--although no one seems to know what. The doctor only thinks I have environmental sensitivities. I would appreciate any thoughts on this.

Chelan,
Interestingly, my business partner (Laura) and I had mercury symptoms become severe about the same times in our lives. We were both in bad condition when we reached 2000 and were searching for an answer.
We had our fillings installed roughly at the same times in our lives, got very sick about the same times in our lives, had our fillings removed the very same day, yet, when we had a challange test, the doctor told us that one of us had mercury "off the scale" (high) and the other was perfectly normal. Amazingly, we never got our records to find out which belonged to whom.
This is very strange considering that we both went through the same experience rather dramatically. What is the explaination for this?
The best on I can find is that the lab mixed up the tests. Do you know gross errors are reported to occur on something like 20% to 50% of lab tests? Just search "lab errors" on Google and read on.
Another possible explaination of the difference between our challenge is that our bodies handled the challenge in a different way. Is this common? I don't think so. Does it happen? I think so, but certainly not often.
At any rate, something was very strange about the results of our challenge tests in that they were so different even though we suffered so many of the same health issues.
I wouldn't be discouraged. If lab error do happend even 20% of the time, then 1 out of 5 people on this forum probably have received grossly inaccurate results at some time in the past decade. You might be one of them.

Wallace 777, Thanks for your reply... My symptoms include memory loss, spacey head / brain fog, tremor inside (mostly in the legs), muscle twitches, rapid skin aging, tinnitus, blocked ears, floaties in eyes, weakness in arm muscles and so on. I had my 12 fillings out last June and have had some improvement in the symptoms. (Maybe my body has dumped a lot of it out by now.) But I'm still trying to find out if it really is mercury that is the root of all this. It is very frustrating not to know for sure and there doesn't seem to be anyone in my area who has even a little knowledge about this whole thing. So I have become my own doctor of sorts. Anyway, any thoughts are welcome. Thanks. Chelan

Hey Chelan, I know exactly what you mean about the brain fog, spacey head, and especially memory loss (short-term). you know its funny how it only effects your short-term. very intresting type of poison. Anyways, I have all the mental symptoms you have. For the physicall symptoms, I have cold/clammy hands, feet, ulcerative colitis, severe bloating/gas, and chronic fatigue. Because of my mental problems it is very hard for me to even try to help myself, as in remember to take DMSA with other supplements, go to the sauna, go to work, bills, family. IM SURE YOU KNOW EXACTLY WHAT I MEAN, CHELAN. But, as frustrating it is, do not give up. please, for your sake. just like i am doing it for my sake.
2 months ago I had done a neurotransmitter test for the brain and found my Serotonin and Epinephrine levels depleted. The cause is mercury poisoning. If I were you Chelan, I would do a brain neurotransmitter test just to see what the mercury has altered. I recommend you to take the following just like I have started to this past week. They are...
PS-100 = for the short-term memory, it increases neuron fluidity and the synapse in the brain to normal function.
Vinpocetine = Overall memory symptoms.
Give it some time... I know, time is always against us. Do not give up. I'm almost sure you still have mercury inside you. I'm sure you know this as well. Do a DMSA and ALA challenge test again please. And please keep me posted. Please. - Mike

Mike, Sounds like we have some things in common! HA! Where did you get the neurotrasmitter test done? And where do you get the supplements you mentioned? I am doing a lot of supplements to try to counteract the body imbalances I have. Right now my brain is so spacey I can hardly think to write this. It seems to get worse when I'm on the computer. Do you have anything like that happen to you? Thanks for your encouragement---it's a lonely road we're on and this forum sure helps. Chelan

http://www.defeatautismyesterday.com/Buttar.htm Click on Dr. Buttar's Congressional Testimony and the powerpoint presentation that goes with it. For his son Abie, mercury didn't show up until the 6th challenge, and that was using DMPS. Mercury is fickle ..... it is not a one shot diagnosis.

hey Chelan, for the neurotransmitter test: http://www.modernherbalist.com/neuro1.htmlIt's a bit pricey but you also get a phone consultation with Dr. Schelsinger. I'm fine when I don't think or plan anything, but as soon as I decide to plan a day, i keep forgetting, the thoughts move around in my mind, spacey head, i get depressed because of this. ya know, its a cycle. and as for the 2 items i mentioned, they are very very inexpensive and can be found at your local whole foods or vitamin store, also www.amazon.com - Mike †

thanks for the link and the videos at the link there
One thing thou ... I find it strange that he charges 20k for a MD to learn how to treat this. Granted a rich MD might not mind spending 20k to make even more money. I have a hard time when I see people in need and money being made off those people; especially when it has to do with their health.

I am currently being treated at Dr. Buttar's clinic. It is very expensive .... and yes he is training other physicans .... He is at the top of his game and very very busy, so maybe the high price tag only attracts doctors who are serious about learning. His protocol is very thorough because it is easy to cause harm doing this.
