lets say your brain has 4 parts. The front, the back, and the 2 sides. The front part of your brain is what you are thinking about right now. The back part of your brain is what has happened in the past (long term memory, ie. school days, a phsycial fight you had, your first blow job, and etc...) and the sides of your brain, stuff that you aren't thinking about right now, but also not stuff that is in back of the brain. its stuff that you plan out for the day or the week (ie, starting work at 8, taking your DMSA, going to the gym, clocking out of work. its like your not thinking about it, but you totally havent put it in the back part of your brain. My problem is the sides of my brain, I feel like I cannot control the sides of my brain. I feel like those thoughts keep moving around. Its very very hard for me to organizde the day. Its like I don't forget it, but I can't remember it. They keep moving. It pisses the out of me. I dont know if you call it short-term memory or something. But it is extremly difficult. Like the sides of my brain is weak. Anyone else have this symptom? Please, I am on my 4th week of DMSA. When will this curse go away!?!?

Your first BJ? Oh my, Anonymous, can't you think of something a little more appropriate. You are a loser. Mercury or not.
Animals feel pain & suffering just as we do, and they value their lives as much as we value ours.

It seems like you are talking about disorganized thinking.
The way it happens for me is similar to accessing the hard drive on my computer when I don't have enough RAM memory. If I don't have enough RAM it doesn't matter what is on my hard drive, I hit the "enter" key but nothing happens, or it happens so slow it may as not be happening.
When I am sick from detoxing and experiencing something beyond brain fog, I keep going to my mind to access data, sort facts, plan events, etc., but nothing happens.
When I get better this strange ocurrance stops. It will often come and go depending on where I am at in my detox/illness. If that is true for you it is probably simply a matter of either waiting for your body to adjust to the detox, or reduce the level of detox you are doing.
What happens when you stop the detox for a period of time?

Hi Dawn,
Have you tried chelating before or had your amalgams out? What is your history?

I had something that is somewhat similar happen to me when I still had the mercury amalgams in. I would be working on my computer and suddenly I'd have the impulse to get a drink of water. I'd find myself in the kitchen looking for water before I realized what I did. This mostly went away after my fillings were removed. About short-term planning... I can also relate to this. When the fillings were in, trying to organize my day was so difficult because I could plan to do something at a certain time, then started thinking about the thing I would want to schedule immediately after that and forget what the previous item was. Very, very frustrating. This is completely gone now. I had my fillings removed in July of 2000. Here's a like to my story in case anyone is interested... My Mercury Amalgam Story Here's a like to several other mercury stories as well... Mercury Amalgam Stories

so it is highly possible once all mercury is out of system, the brain function would normalize... correct?

Dawn, i have lots of brain fog. Im just fine when I'm not planning or organizing my day. But if I try to plan or organize something, then it hits me. Its been like this for the past 3 years. Very very frustrating, just like that diagram I drew and what ananoymous's original post was. The second I try to plan something I feel like I'm forgetting whats going on in my life and all the thoughts just move around in the mind.
