Just wanting to hear of anyone's experience with these as you can't readily rely on the testamonials from the website selling the product...Any danger with trying one of these that you can think of? Thanks!

I heard about people doing these "Bentonite Clay Baths" I assume all bentonite is 'magnetic'. In that it attracts particles.
I dont know the results of these baths

yea I have tried the exact one ur talking about. They work to some extent, I just found them too much bother in the end and too expensive. I remember right after the baths I felt good but other than that my symptoms came right back again. They may be a helpful addition to a well thought out nutritional and supplement plan though.

Hi Joey Joe Joe Jr., I found that the DMPS IV chelation treatments can be as high as $100. each, along with harsh side affects. The LL's magnetic clay bathes are $50. for about 7 bathes. Also I too have found that the LL's magnetic clay bathes didn't last as long as the Dermamed deep peat which I also detoxed with. I found that I had to soak in the LL's magnetic clay bath alittle longer or needed alitttle more clay in order for me to feel better longer. It seemed like the deep peat worked best before I got the metals out of my mouth because it was a bit more powerful, and the LL's magnetic clay bathes worked best after I got them out. Instead of only a foot bath, I take a whole bath with the LL's magnetic clay bath which keeps me feeling toxic free for 8-10 days now! So if you use it correctly, it works for a longer period of time. Also you need the bath water to be about a 120 degrees so you sweat. This causes your pores to open so that you detox more affectively. I know the LL's magnetic clay bath can be messy and hard to mix. To get rid of the lumps, mix alittle at a time in a large bowl with a wisk. Then dump it into the bath water. If you don't mix it well enough than you'l have lumps that will just sit on the bottom of the tub instead of being mixed with the water where it will be able to detox you. It pays off to experiment to see exactly the amount and time you need to detox since the results are worth it. To find the MOORBATH go to www.dermamed.com. Then click to SPECIALITY PRODUCTS. Then click to MOORBATH. PlEASE NOTE: IF YOU HAVE HIGH BLOOD PRESSURE THAN DON'T TAKE THE MOORBATH! To find the LL'S MAGNETIC CLAY BATHS, type " ALIVE AND AWARE NATURAL HEALTH E- BAY STORE" in the google word search. Chris Hall is very nice and cares more about helping people than the money! He also has alot of sales on the clay baths and other natural products he sells!!! Thats why I highly recommend his E-bay store!!! Good luck! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

I just tried it. It made me feel terrible for a while and then better, just like DMPS or EDTA or anything that is effective for me. So I know that it is working. Maybe I am very toxic.

Yep. I think they are a great way to detox. I use it along with algin and lots of other detox methods {I do not take the DMPS}. When I first used the clay I was great for a day or two then very tired for a few days. I have now worked up to a bath every 4 to 5 days and I stay in for around 1 hour, I now feel less tired after them. Yes I think clay baths are good along with other things.

I started using less clay (2 spoonfuls) and it is a lot better. I am taking a bath once a week on the day I have IV chelation. Recently I missed taking a bath, and felt unusually bad all week, so now I am sure it is helping!

Here is an abstract that speaks to the issue supporting that some clays can effectively absorb mercury. In my view, this means that both clay baths and drinking clay water may be helpful for mercury detox.
Author: C. Green-Ruiz Title: Adsorption of mercury (II) from aqueous solutions by the clay mineral montmorillonit Source: Bull. Environ. Contam. Toxicol. (2005) 75:1137-1142 Abstract: The input of mercury into the environment from natural and anthropogenic sources, in addition to its high toxicity and availability to be accumulated by organisms, has led to critical localized mercury pollution sites around the world and the risk for the environment and the health of organisms, including humans, has increased. Thus, clean-up technologies for the treatment of huge volumes of water, sediments and soils contaminated with this metal are needed. Mechanical, chemical and biological methods have been developed for water purification and mercury recovery operations from wastewater. Because of the physical and chemical characteristics of clay minerals such as large surface area, moderate to high cation exchange capacity and high negative surface charge, the use of these materials for adsorbing heavy metals can be an effective technology for the treatment of industrial wastewaters and can become a good tool for the remediation of coastal ecosystems impacted with mercury. Hirst (1962) suggested clay minerals concentrate trace elements in the sequence: montmorillonite > vermiculite > illite = chlorite > kaolinite. In this study, montmorillonite, which is considered as a suitable adsorbent for mercury removal, has been used in adsroption experiments in order to learn the effects of mercury concentration and pH on the ability of this mineral to trap the metal. [End of abstract]
In the paper, the authors do show that montmorillonite does indeed effectively adsorb mercury.

Here's a website related to autism, mercury, and clay baths: Clay For Autism . I just bought the LL Magnetic Clay from The Bee Well Company . The Bee Well Company is a boutique health products provider run by an Irish couple living in the U.S. who are very keen on clay baths. Ask for a discount if you buy bulk (the discount for 4 covered my shipping).

Sandi I bought mine from Integrated Healing Arts on Broadway. It cost 100 bucks for a large pail. But first Hal Brown rested me for which blend was best. He came up with something called dental amalgam #2. I just got it last week and haven't tried it yet. It sounds like a whole bunch of cleanup work to do the whole bath route. I figure to do a foot bath in a plastic tub instead. Alcan

Hi Everyone! I am looking into these baths - I talked to a lady that used them on her autistic son with a lot of success.
My questions are
1) can you use them if you still have amalgams?
2) Does anyone know how they work? Are they really pulling mercury out of your orangs through your skin, or are they only getting the mercury that is located in your skin?
Thanks!

The instructions for the clay baths recommend that they only be used once per week and that especially sensitive individuals should ramp up the amount of clay they use over several weeks. Ostensibly, it is because the skin is such an incredible organ for releasing toxins from the body that you can over-encourage the body to dump toxins. And thus, you'll experience the effects of these toxins (effects will vary by individual). This scenario reminds me of the arguments by Cutler regarding the frequency of chelation therapies. For those who haven't read the text, he maintains that in order to protect the body, chelators have to be taken on a regular basis during chelation campaigns in order to maintain a stable blood concentration that mops of loose mercury. Isn't it reasonable to use this rationale for clay baths? If clay baths clear toxins and once temporarily cleared the body releases more, why not take clay baths more frequently? The frequency could be determined by the individual based on how she feels (I know I can feel it when toxins build up and mercury is loose in my system: scattered unfocused brain, painful ileo-cecal valve, cold feet). Another possibility is that either drinking clay solutions (Sonne makes this and is available at health food stores) or taking algin (I've not tried this) will bind toxins released by the liver into the bowel and prevent re-absorption. Any thoughts?

A note of caution: LL Magnetic Clays are sold with different herbs packs that you mix into the clay before use. The herb pack for the one specific to helping remove mercury appears to contain garlic (based on the smell). Some mercury-toxic individuals are VERY senstive to garlic and the like and should probably not mix in the herb pack. This doesn't mean that using the clay alone wouldn't work as expected, it's just that the herb pack won't accelerate the removal of mercury.

Anyone used these lately? Good results. I was thinking of trying it... Is there something special about the LL version? Has anyone ever tested the water like Russ did with the other kind of baths to see if it really pulls heavy metals?

Hi everyone, I've enjoyed reading this discussion about clay baths. A good friend of mine acquired Mercury Toxicity via the Thimerosal contained in vaccinations. After being hospitalized and slipping into a coma, he was later able to acquire a successful diagnosis via the Melisa Test. His story that documents how he recovered via clay baths: http://www.eytonsearth.org/mercury-toxicity-bentonite-clay.phpThe article we have presented on clay baths after quite a few years of study: http://www.eytonsearth.org/clay-baths.phpWhat we know to date is that every case is individual. If heavy metal toxicity is accute, and the immune system response is new, then clay baths often remove all symptoms VERY quickly. However, if the toxicity is chronic ( remember, toxicity itself can only be measured in terms of the body's RESPONSE to the toxic substance ), then it can take a long time to remove the metals... Even years of clays baths taken two to three times weekly with no less than 5 lbs. of clay per bath, according to a few cases we've studied where the individual has done monthly heavy metal lab work to track progress with clay baths. Yes, it is very adviseable for those with amalgams to use clay baths. Obviously anything that reduces the toxic burden on the body will help maintain good health. We have been working to find affordable protocols for close to fifteen years now to help address various forms of toxicity. While specialty clays certainly work just fine for bath use, all finely meshed sodium and/or calcium smectites have proven effective. Based on the cost of clays for doing effective clay baths, those who are committed to doing them may wish to find a source of clay more affordable. We keep a buyers guide online of clays that have been traditionally used and known to have therapeutic value: http://www.eytonsearth.org/purchase-buy-healing-clay.phpFor bulk clay, in particular, those who are doing clay baths may wish to consider the following source: http://www.greenclays.com ... Pricing for 44 lbs. of clay starts at $110.00, plus shipping. For those who are only using one lb for clay baths, that provides quite a few baths. Kind Regards, Jason
