2 weeks ago I was using 200mg capsules (natures bounty) 4x a day without any percieved effect on my body.

Yesterday I started ALA again and decided to use some of my whole foods brand (not sure whom they go through) - 100mg tabs. I took 5 tabs yesterday and started to feel a Herxheimer Reaction going on ... ie run down - felt like I was coming down with something (but I can kind of tell the difference now between regular colds and the Herxheimer Reaction).

Today I'm going to cut back the dosage I take to 50 mgs of the whole foods brand and see if I can slow it down.

I mean perhaps my body is more sensitive in the couple weeks since my last doses of ALA or maybe theres a difference between the tabs and the capsules for me ...

anyone else have a similar experience with the above (different brands or tabs capsules?).

when I first got my 2 fillings removed (there wasnt really much for safety measures followed on part of the praticioner); I got a Very strong Herxheimer Reaction (got real sick for 10 days).

I just baught some Twinlab 50mg capsules from Vitaminshoppe for like 14 bucks. Your saying the tablets work better? Because its my first day today, i'm doing DMSA and ALA 50mg, every 3 hours, and havent felt that much of effects, hmmm. im lost.

I'm not sure what the deal is ...
either the capsules I brought are bogus (or my body doesnt use capsules?) oe my body changed in 2 weeks to where less ALA is bringing on more symptoms.

btw I am trying the same schedule as you; well trying too. Every 3-4 hours ALA. See if I can hit it once in the middle of the nite also but wont kill myself over it if I forget.

today was my first day, it wasnt so bad. but id thoght id feel some side effects. I felt tiredness during the day, but couldnt know for sure if it was the effect of ALA and DMSA or not. im taking 50mg of both every 3 hours. im on my way to buy some insoluble fiber,bushwella, and some vitamin e, for my ulcerative colitis. theres a guy named sheldon, hes saying he cured his ulcerative colitis condition with some vitamin e enema and diet. gonna go ahead and do that.

but waking up at 3am and 6am to take em isnt so bad, I always get up 3-7 times a night because of my ulcerative colitis condition. ill be back. by the way dulak, where you from man?

hmm not sure about UC ... I'll check it out see if I find any info on it. The book is pretty technical' but if your doing Andy's protocal then it's probably a good idea you ordered it ...
