I agree with your post above. It is scriptural. YET, I must say that 'Son of God' Movie is dreadful. It has already received 2,387 'thumbs down', it is not the actual the account of how the story originally goes in the Bible, and it is said to have Jesus trying to portray some kind of 'sexy man', which my Lord Jesus NEVER did such a thing. I give this movie a thumbs down, and recommend watching some of the older ones, that are more accurate.
This is by no means a criticism to you, Lynn. It is however a big MINUS for this movie.
Also Ray Comfort felt the same way about some film out about "Noah". I have wonderful knowledge of Ray Comfort being a true man of God. I have several of his tapes, and He loves the Lord, not wanting to bring reproach on His name, Which both of these films do. /

Everybody is trying to make MONEY, off mimicking our Lord Jesus, Moses, and even Noah, which we know nothing more than is written right in the Word of God. Read it, that is what the Lord uses to speak to His people. Not some phony Hollywood Movies.

I haven't seen the movie only clips on it all over Christian T.V. promoting it. Haven't heard anything negitive about it except about the rooster crows being taken out the' cock crow 'because they did not have chickens and roosters running around back then as it was unclean to do a mistranslation or misunderstanding about what the cock crow actually was. It was the town cryer calling out three times for prayer. They said they tried to stay as true to the story as it was written but my favorite Jesus as for you as well as you have said before was in the Jesus of Nazareth movie.

I haven't seen anything on youtube Ray Comfort has posted on it but if you find it please put it here then I can see what he has to say about it. This Jesus seemed to me to be more of a personable a friendly Jesus then a sexy Jesus but no doubt everyone has their favorite Jesus movie. Just glad there is another movie out to be viewed and it is lots different then the Last Temptation Of Christ or Passion Of The Christ. Besides Jesus Of Nazareth so far I would rate it a number two but haven't seen the whole movie of yet. But of course if one wants to know what the Bible says they should read it and get a good concordence but many out there in movie land don't always want to do that but maybe after seeing the movie they just might crack open the Bible again. That they wanted to focus on Jesus qualites His compassion nature His love for us His mercy His gentleness His grace as our Savior. His servant leadship His love for us is Biblical in many ways. Jesus is all of that and it may be better then alot of other movies out there on Jesus but this is very strange indeed?
They cut Satan out of the movie because they say he looks like Our President and that is so strange as we don't know what color of skin Satan had. We don't know what he really looks like. Why not make him gray or green or anything else or maybe they just wanted the Controversy?

Who is Mohamen Mehdi Ouazanni and who did his makeup? It just looks bad but was he the same Satan in The Bible Series & what made it different in this movie that they took it out that is so strange indeed. They could have made Satan look different.

A personal relationship type of Jesus the qualities of the Father Gentleness, Mercy , Kindness, Loving & Compassionate goes with it's not a religion it's a relationship type of theme which it is about a relationship with God. But some people thought it was to milk toast and they could have made some changes to Satan as well. Until the next Jesus movie comes out but at least a lot of people are talking about Jesus now out there. It seems to be the year of the Bible/Jesus in movies the next one is Heaven Is For Real and Exodus.

Are you feeling alright? My goodness. You have so many topics mixed all together here. The movies, the songs, etc. Can't you get them under one heading (topic) and keep them together.

One more time, I will tell you, a well informed and 'messenger' of God, I know Him to love Jesus with all his heart.....said the movie 'Son of God' movie was a 'so-so'. It had the scripture verses as actually said in Holy Scripture in the 'wrong places', It had Jesus going into Lazarus Tomb, which He never did, etc, etc. In all honesty, it's just a movie made in Hollywood to get your MONEY, and does not give the true details of the Story of Jesus as presented in the Gospels.

Why must you ramble on about this? If you just want entertainment, watch any movie. If you want to learn the truth about our Lord Jesus Christ, pick up your Bible and ask Him to reveal himself to you. "I will be found by you if you seek me with all your heart." (in My Word!).
The Noah movie really was a flop. A lot of lies and blasphemey against a Holy and Righteous God. Throw your money away to Hollywood, or spend your talents to glorify the Lord in your Church, or outreach with missions. Thank you./ Can't we post things to glorify the Lord on here. The Bible Series was on T.V last night. Even though glad that so many people who may have never picked up the Bible or read anything about Jesus might of watched it we know that the Bible itself is always the best source of course. He's an O.K Jesus not my favorite Jesus depicted by hollywood but lots better then those other movies on Him. Have not seen the Son Of God movie yet to compare it to the Bible series.But as movies go fillers and liberties seem to always be taken in some form or other as some movies on the Bible/Jesus are better then others.
But the reason they made The Bible Series or the Jesus movie is to bring the awareness of Jesus/The Bible to the world and spark lots of conversation on Jesus and also to get people to get interesting in reading the Bible again which is not a bad thing. Even if the movie is not the best and Hollywood always want our money it's lots better I hear then the Noah movie. But many people want the choice of more family type movies and Christian type movies to be able to be seen for them and others. It seems to be harder and harder then ever to get the mention of the Jesus of the Bible or the Bible in the public square anymore. So wether a really great movie or not at least they got the message out there and yes of course. Lots of good outreach ministries out there that needs help donating to them is a good thing. It all starts from somewhere before a person decides to search futher for themselves. So glad so many out there catches what is not accurate in all these types of movies and further discussion can be made. Time is running out yes we must press on...Go into the world reach people make disciples thats what Jesus said to do and lot of people out there trying to do just that.
