I have been trying and trying to get specific info re: Diamondlite. Every avenue I have tried comes up useless. I haven't tried the dentist in Mexico yet, but have tried many times to contact the company or someone connected to the company - as well as an email address that was given to me on this forum. The only answer that came back was from someone who was pretty illiterate (again, no slur on his character, it just seems odd that they would put someone like that in charge of public relations) saying something like - Biodent was just a small part of the company that wasn't doing too well and it no longer is in service. This all seems pretty strange. Why can't I get an answer - never mind a straight answer. Unless this all gets straightened out, I will not choose Diamondlite for my children. I have had thyroid problems since I had the Diamondlite put in. I am not sure what they are due to. On one hand, I have had antibodies against my thyroid for 24 years and now I have no more antibody activity in my thyroid - Hooray!!!, but my thyroid function has dropped. Is it menopause? Is it Diamondlite? Who knows? Biodent refuses to answer me. And I have not been critical - nor even told them about my difficulties. I can't help but wonder just what is going on.

Dallas I am no expert at compatability. My ND did muscle testing for this and advised my mercury-free dentist which products to use. I have had zero dental problems in the 2 years since I had every tooth scraped down to nothing and replaced with the non-metallic replacements. I did get a new book, just released last month, called MERCURY DETOXIFICATION wriiten by dentist Dr. Tom Mcguire. I also have read Cutler's and Pat Sullivan's Wellness piece by piece. Mcguire has a toll-free number. It may be worth it to phone this dentist and ask how he would go about determining the right product for you to use. His website is www.dentalwellness4u.comAlcan

Hi Dallas, I totally sympathise with what you're going through. Have you not had any luck with the email address of the guy who runs the blood serum testing lab? Walter Clifford??? He knows what is in all these products. Please let me know because he has answered every single email I've ever typed to him and outlined what is in what I've asked him. He does it becuase he has no interest in any company and doesn't risk losing anything by revealing details. It is really hard to know what to use in teeth. I just get fed up with it all. I'm sicker than I ever was So I don't know what happened. I gather I have cavitations and incompatible dental materials, but it could be anything. let me know about the Walter Clifford guy and whether you emailed him. wjclifford@ccrlab.comBut so far, i'm not impressed with the lack of communication from biodent. or the pathetic reply you got when you did receive any. It is hard to say what is causing the thyroid issue. It could be diamond lite, but again, it could be mercury as one of mercury's key areas is the thyroid. It could well be that your thyroid has been on full alert for years to try and protect itself agains the daily intake of mercury from your amalgams. Might be the reason for the antibodies. Now that the source has gone, you might find things either improve, or get worse from your body now trying to recover itself from teh daily onsalught it has endured for years. also, it will try and dump it's storage of mercury, which can make a person feel worse. Mercury can also cause a person to be chemically sensitive, so they can react far more to their replacements than they normally would, because of the mercury still in their body. It is a difficult situation and I don't have the answers, but have read a lot and can give some theories and that is all. I wish I knew the ideal dental material, but I don't. It's enough to drive a person nuts!!! SO I can well imagine how you feel, I have bad materials in my teeth, ones which contain a lot of phenol which is bad!

Hi Dallas, i recently rang one of the best dentists in UK, and asked him about Diamondlite. He said everyone is different, and everyone should have a compatability test beforehand to see what suites. He disagreed that Diamondlite was the safest material used. He also said that there isnt a completely safe material.

Thank you, Dawn, Bex, and Alcan. Bex, I did email that fellow twice. Perhaps I need to try again. Maybe, it being summer, he is on vacation. Yeah, the thyroid thing has me stumped. It is so difficult to find out what is the cause. It may have nothing to do with the Diamondlite, but their lack of a decent response is what makes me very cautious. Maybe, as Scarlet mentioned a while back, if not Diamondlite, holistic gold is the way to go. Trouble is, how many biological dentists do nothing but composites - they don't do any metal at all.

I don't think it's possible to get pure gold, so I think there will be a electrical charge on any metal filling (someone might want to verify that) necause it will be mixed with something.
That would be my caution with metal. As least diiamondlite is neutral and cosmetic. Wish we could know if it was safe.

Pure gold is too soft to use. The best combination is gold- platinum. Does anyone know of any dentists that do gold fillings? I dont trust dentists. Even if I found a dentist that used "gold" fillings,I am afraid the fillings might be gold,palladium,cadmium,tin,silver...

From what I have read all dentists are required to learn how to do gold inlays and onlays in dental school. Gold inlays and onlays are said to be much more difficult to install properly than ceramic, but also are expected to last longer. Most people are choosing ceramic inlays or onlays rather than gold for cosmetic reasons, and also since gold will probably be much more expensive. One of my friends who is an MD had his fillings replaced with gold onlays and inlays. He didn't tell me what they cost, only that it was "quite expensive". I mentioned gold onlays to my dentists and he immediately tried to talk me out of getting gold rather than porcelain. If you do decide to spluge for gold, try to find a dentist who frequently does gold inlays and onlays.
