I have incredible pain/soreness in my kidney areas. I also feel fainty from this. Prior to this I high-dosed on Magnesium to help for the mercury- caused anxiety. I have stopped the Mag. Does anyone know of any supplement/herb which is supposed to be kidney supporting and at the same time ok to use by a mercury poisoned person?

I don't know about a supplement, but I used to have incredible kidney pain and bladder symptoms til it got to be almost constant. thinking I had urinary tract infection I was always at the dr. but they did urine test after urine test and kept saying I had no infection. My chiropracter said "Do you think you might have a yeast problem?" I thought he was nuts, but when I got desparate enough, I went totally off of sugar and yeasts and I have not had the pain since - except if I go back to sugar. Mercury poisoned people usually have yeast problems - the yeast is protective in that it ingests mercury - protecting you from it - if I understand correctly. But the yeast comes with its own set of problems. Get rid of sugar, yeasts, and possibly even most fruit and milk from your diet. You also might be helped by getting rid of gluten (wheat, rye, barley, etc.)

Thanks Dallas, I am already on the anti-candida programme. I suddenly had a thought that perhaps I'm low on calcium as I've taken large doses of Magnesium (I'm not eating any milk products either). Maybe calcium is important for kidney function????

There is a kidney detox tea, you get a load of water melon seeds and put them in a cup of boiling water and let iit brew and cool down, you then strain it and drink it. Also if you eat water melon everyday, including seeds this can be good for kidneys.

Have you had an ultra sound to rule out kidney stones? Corn silk, Couchgrass and Marshmallow leaf are probably about the best urinary demulcents as far as herbs go. They soothe the mucous membranes. Make sure not to use ear plugs as they block the chi to the kidneys. Many people who use ear plugs on a regular basis end up with bladder infections and pyelitis. Does your urine have a strange odour or any white flakes ? The white flakes can indicate blood in the urine (leukocytes) and may indicate a kidney infection. Are you drinking enough water to flush your kidneys substantially ?
