Does anyone experience excessive salivation? I have got this problem for over 12 years. I have to swallow all the time. Too bad, I had some of silver fillings removed last week but nothing changed. I have also sufferred burning sensation on the side of the tongue weeks after sudden lot of saliva came out. (I'm 35 yrs old). Russ, did your "lot of salivation" last long? when did it improve? I feel isolated since I am afraid to talk. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Want to know something wierd ... I'm 34 and have had the same issue for the past 15 years (since I was 19~). Well I 'think' it's the same issue. I have studied and tried to cure this over the past 15 years also - to no avail so far. I had my fillings taken out also 9+ months ago now; really notice no change either. I think we should trade emails etc and see if our condition is similar and see what each of us has done to cope and try to cure this etc ... Russ's testimony was the first info I have seen on the subject; (although it must be a bit different since I did not notice any benefits from my amalgam removal). And now your the 2nd person I have seen with a similar condition. my email is djxput@wi.rr.comshoot me a email so we can discuss this further etc ...

what other symptoms do you guys have. I have excess salivation and am convinced that its due to histadelia, which is an over load of the hormone histamine in the body, which causes many problems. Look it up, you may be suprised!

look up histadelia! If you are thin and muscular u are very like me, if your other symptoms match, or at least some of them I would say that your problems definately may be related to histamine. But judging by what you've said so far, I am almost certain already!

also, the fear and timmidness may be due to phobias which are also very common in histamine imbalance. They also may be due to chronic mineral deficiencies like zinc or magnesium or other problems, but most likely histamine

ok, I forgot to mention that if you have histamine problems or even histadelia, then chances are that you are an under-methylating type. I'm sure you will find this in researching, but under-methylation is the explanation for so many mental and physical problems we suffer. Quote I found:
"Much that can go wrong in the human body revolves around the process of methylation which has been mentioned before on this site. Methylation is the process your body uses to make brain chemicals called neurotransmitters which prevent you from becoming depressed and anxious. Methylation helps you to make wholesome DNA which enables you to manufacture healthy new cells. Imperfect methylation can lead to depression, dementia, Alzheimer’s disease, liver disease, ostoearthritis, Parkinson’s disease and even cancer as well as aging. In order to methylate you need a protein called methionine which you can obtain from sunflower seeds, eggs, chicken, turkey, wild game and avocado. Then you need sufficient lashings of vitamins B2, B3, B6, B12, folic acid, a substance called betaine or trimethylglycine, calcium, magnesium and zinc. The way to assess methylation biochemically is to have your homocysteine and histamine levels measured. Ordinarily methionine makes homocysteine which is recycled to methionine care of the appropriate enzymes and the nutrient co-factors mentioned above and normal levels of histamine which is a brain chemical will result. This is what methylation is all about; the recycling of proteins and the donation of what is called methyl groups to make healthy proteins. If homocysteine and histamine are elevated or depressed which can be assessed by means of a blood test then the process of methylation has become dysfunctional which leads to unhealthy proteins and can culminate in autism, depression and schizophrenia."
If you have high histamine avoid folic acid and b12 they raise levels immensely! believe me I know from expereince
