Hi Sandy,
You are so much aware of nutritional questions. I wonder if squash is a mercury chelator like cilantro or a detoxification blocker like milk. I got awful last time after eating squash.

Gee Steve, I don't think squash would qualify as a chelator, what did you eat with it?
I have been battling candida for over 3 years and just found out last year that mercury and candida go hand in hand. Our body produces the yeast to protect us from the mercury, it encloses the methylated mercury, that is why it is important to get the yeast populations down so the mercury doesn't have a place to hide when taking the DMSA. Getting rid of yeast also improves digestion so that mercury can be eliminated more quickly.
