hi does anyone who has been poisoned have a tingling tongue. Its my most horrid symptom! It started with now and again but now its constant. I hate it and i cant always get my words out. I also think i speak funny. I have loads of other stuff which i have had longer but this started after my last filling in march. My symptoms are as follows:- fatigue, brain fog, tingling in hands and feet, aches and pains which move about, severe weakness in my legs, tingling and nerves running riot in my head, constant headache (left side pressue headache) weakness in my hands and difficulty co-ordinating sometimes blurred vision, increasing bad memory and feeling of being spaced out often sometimes i think im going mad and dont know if i have posioning from my 16 fillings but i hope so as i can get to the bottom of my 3 year battle. I dont work much now as im too tired and too weak so i really need to get to the bottom of this. Just dont know where to start. I have been diagnosed with cfs but i really doubt that as no one with that illness has a tingling tongue and there has been a couple of other things not quite right with that diagnoses would appreciate some input here if you can relate to this in anyway thanks fiona

It is not CFS, it is mercury. My burning mouth and tingling tongue started a few weeks ago. My upper lip also started getting numb. Sometimes my tongue tickles, sometimes it feels cold, sometimes it's just numb. Every SINGLE thing you list, I have too. It took me a long time to realize what was wrong with me. Now you know, so be at peace with that. You can now decide how you want to proceed.
I have been fumbling my words for years, and I never knew why. I felt like my brain and mouth were NOT connected, because what I really WANT to say, is not what comes out. I also started transposing numbers and letters when I typed at my job (when I used to work) and it made things very difficult. I couldn't understand where this all was coming from, and I thought I was losing my mind. Thank God I have spell check, and can read and re-read things when I type. It makes me very sad, though. Now I am doing it when I write by hand too.
I would love to talk with you more, Fiona. BTW my name is Lisa, and I'm glad you found your way here.

hi lisa well at least im not alone. I have thought all sorts of things since this started and have to say i have self diagnosed, lyme diseas, brain tumour, MS and a few more nasties but you prob know all about that yourself. when you get ill for a long period you look into all avenues! this was something i have looked into a bit but not thoroughly so when i actually sat down at computer and read it all i was blown away. Its a scary thing now approaching it with my doctor as im sure he already thinks that i make up lists to keep him in a job! i have not broached my other "self diagnoses" with him so this will be the first time i go and tell him that i have what i believe to be mercury poisoning so will see how long it takes for him to edge me towards the door! fiona

I have all the symptoms both of you listed. Tingling tongue is caused by mercury in my case. I also feel some acidic liquid mixing into my saliva at the place of tingling. So I have to spit all the time. The good news is that it is a way of getting rid of mercury. The bad news is that I have this symptom for a year now, and its intensity decreases very slowly.

I think what you are referring to may be galvanic activity of the different metals in your mouth...it can also cause ringing in the ears. If you go to a holistic dentist, he can test you to see what order the fillings can be removed to prevent or maybe even help to reduce this.
hope you get rid of it soon, Sandi xoxo

It is not as continuous as electric current between two metals would be. I feel a pressure in my head. Then it goes to my ear, it eases a bit and then I feel some acidic liquid flow into my mouth. Then I have to spit for two-three hours. If I take a pill of chlorella and leave it in my mouth the acidic taste disappears.

After a few years of mercury detoxification I feel much better than I used to. However I still have this sensation of tingling tong but not so often and for a shorter time.
