u know I always thought my problems were linked to my diet. Now I pretty much have proof of it. Gluten! I'm pretty sure now its this stuff that has been making me sick, both physically and mentally. I've eliminated it for about a week now and do I feel good! I think recently I have gone through a real slack period with my diet, eating whatever I want, and have noticed that I have strong cravings for bread and many other foods with gluten in them. I also noticed that once I started eating them, I couldn't stop!
It funny though, as soon as you elminate them for a couple of days, you don't crave them at all, you are actually detered by them in fact, and instead start to only consume healthy foods that make you feel good. The gluten-free diet is fairly restrictive though, but a very small price to pay for feeling good all the time! And not nearly as bad as the candida diet. So any of you who can't seem to get better and are not already on a candida diet, try elminating gluten for a week or so and see how you feel! Especially if you have weird thought patterns, depression, mood swings and constant negetive thoughts..

Hi Joey, yes, I always emphasize to people to avoid gluten grains (whether it's the candida diet or not). It's dangerous in some people and can directly or indirectly poison by acting as a glue in the gut and can prevent absorption of nutrients, plus can poison directly at the sametime in some of us.
It is especially a problem in those mercury toxic or suffering other toxicity, to where they are already vulnerable. Gluten can prevent elimination from these things, plus the other stuff at the sametime that I mentioned.
So, it's good you are noticing some improvements from that. I too will not be able to stop eating it once I start. I think it's dreadful stuff and should be automaticaly totally avoided in any health situation. Wheat apparently is the worst culprit, though it's in barely, oats, rye, etc.
Apparently the worst culprits for health are sugar, gluten, soy and milk. These all can create illness and some people can apparently have an almost remission of their symptoms by avoiding these things for a long enough period of time.
Wish you all the best for continued improvements! How is that weird thing going by the way? Has that lessened or is it still doing its thing?

Good on you Joey for recognizing this, most people cannot digest gluten well, and if they have digestion issues it is even harder. Mercury inhibits the enzymes that digest the proteins in dairy and gluten and it just builds up in our intestines. And then when our body tries to excrete the metals and toxins..they just get stuck in the muck!!!
Way to go!!!
