Apparently when you have copper overload, metallothionein is hte protein that you are lacking. I've done a little research on it and its sounds like maybe this may hold the missing key for me. It not only binds to copper, but also to all over heavy metals, including mercury, so it is invaluable for heavy metal toxicity. Do a little search on in..
The reason why I bring it up is that I recently got a hair mineral analysis done and it said my zinc levels were extremely high, which suggests that I am not using zinc properly and it is being excreted at a high rate. I went to see a new doctor about this (this guy was awesome, very experienced in metal toxicity and interpreting hair mineral analysis) and he said that I still have a very high level of copper. He perscribed me a product called MT Primer that promotes the use of metallothionein in the body.
