Hi: I have developed a terrible itching rash on my shoulders. I think it is from the candida/yeast I have been fighting for months. The dermatolgists office has prescribed clobetasol, a steroid cream, and wants to see me in two weeks. I don't want to use it for several reasons. Does anyone have any other natural suggestions to help with the inflammation, itching, and bumps?

Hi Diana,
I thought I should point out that the Pau d'Arco lotion page Russ posted is no longer current. Nature's Sunshine discontinued that lotion and reformulated it, removing the propylene glycol and sodium lauryl sulfate.
Here's the list of ingredients for the new formulation: Purified Water, pau d' arco extract (Tabebuia heptaphylla), Ethylhexyl palmitate, Carthamus tinctorius(hybrid safflower) seed oil, glycerin, Helianthus annuus(sunflower) oil, glyceryl sterate, cetyl alcohol, stearic acid, Aloe barbadensis leaf juice, sodium steroyl lactylate, tocopheryl acetate, panthenol, allantoin, disodium EDTA, carbomer, aminomenthyl propanol, dimethicone, polysorbate-20, phenoxyethanol, methylparaben, ethylparaben, propylparaben, butylparaben, and isobutylparaben.
I did read the link you provided on parabens and will ask the company about these ingredients and their safety. I'll post this info as soon as I get an answer.

Thank You, Laura. I have read bad reports about paraben on several sites. If I have problems pronouncing the ingredient list, I usually avoid the products. I am hopeful the virgin coconut oil and apple cider vinegar wlll help.

Great news! The apple cider vinegar helped tremendously! What a relief! Thanks for the suggestions though.
