Daughter's moodiness

I have a 12 year old daughter. She gets pretty irritable sometimes. She was the toddler that had tantrums in public. She is a big girl at 12 (almost 13), 5'5" tall, 130 lbs. She's gorgeous, she's very smart (top of her class), but she has some temper.
Well, I have learned so much from my mercury poisoning experience and I am well aware she may be carrying some of the same toxins that I do. She was vaccinated multiple times ( we refused some vaccines when possible but she still got plenty) as a baby/toddler.
I now have on my shelf some great stuff for heavy metal chelation, and though I was wary at first to give her any, I have given her just a few light doses by now. We started out very slowly about a month ago, with just one ALA/DMSA formula capsule, checking for a reaction. None, so then I started giving her two capsules at night just once or twice a week. I upped that to three capsules last time, a couple days ago.
I gave her 3 last time because I had noticed last week that she seemed so suddenly so easy to get along with for about 2 days after the DMSA. Then, after not taking any all week she was her normal moody self again. Well, after taking those 3 capsules the other night ( 2 nights ago) she is once again so very nice and easy to get along with.
I think I may have hit the jackpot here.

My 12 yr old daughter is also very moody, she had an amalgam filling when she was 6, and it really affected her, although i didnt realise at the time. She changed overnight, she was once very outgoing, wanted to be a popstar and used to sing in front of people, loving caring, but now shes full of mood swings, gets migraines and loses the feelings in her legs, she gets bloated, cries alot for no reason, she says she feels lost, its very hard when theres 2 of us like it in one household. I told her about DMSA, shes not interested though, il have to persuade her.

My daughter doesn't have any fillings, didn't even take her to the dentist till age 7 or 8 (took her twice since then and will never take her again). I think though if she did have one, knowing what i know today, it would be top of my list to have it removed.
We're using the DMSA/ALA formula from healthmasters.com btw, the chelation therapy, not straight DMSA. The doctors say the mixed formula is a lot stronger than just the straight DMSA. The healthmasters.com stuff is good, never any synthetics in the vitamins, Ted is very anti-synthetic. He had a dentist almost kill him a number of years ago too.
anyway, I am going to keep my daughter on that just a couple times a week for a while, it is a very noticable difference, so nice to see her feeling so good, so calm.

We get the Chelation Therapy formula from www.healthmasters.comHas DMSA, some EDTA, ALA, other chelator stuff, she does real well with it a couple days per week. She is even looking better, went througha breakout phase but she seems to be clearing up now. I am going to just have her do 2-3 days in a row about every 2-3 weeks or so at this point. Her overall attitude is much improved. I wish my parents had cared about my health. Getting out the amalgam they had their dentist put in my mouth is extremely expensive. I am considering pulling a couple, good teeth otherwise too but massive fillings in there, and I am tired of the sore neck and the expense or replacing/fixing. Thanks again mom.

Yeah, I understand what you mean. I'm not sure about your family, but my mom did the best she could to raise 7 kids. I'm more frustrated with the ignorance, and perhaps in some cases, deliberate misinformation at the time. My mother would have never had anything put in our mouths that she felt would have caused us such serious health consequences down the line. She paid good money, on a tight budget, and put her trust in the dental profession to take care of her kids teeth.
You and I are benefitting from parents who got sick and tired of paying hard earned money, thinking they were doing the right thing, and bringing home sick children (re: immunizations). I'm sick that I ever allowed them to vaccinate my daughter only to bring her home with a fever for the rest of the day. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/frown.gif" alt="" /> Thank goodness that you and I received enough information to try to undo the damage done to our children.
Thanks for your posts.

mmm, yes and no. My parents had health and dental insurance from their jobs and thought they were doing the cool thing by taking their kids to the dentist a lot. My mom wasn't all that ignorant, she was a registered nurse and pretty much till her dying day held the pro-medical staus quo view no matter how much information she was given to dispute the 'facts' she thought she knew... which, in the end killed her. She died of cancer just a few years ago.
One time after a dental visit, I asked what was in the fillings... she said... silver... some mercury. I said 'isn't mercury poisonous? she said "I don't know'.
I was about 12 years old, and if I had heard mercury was poisonous you can be sure she had long before me.
I mostly only took my daughter in for the required vaccinations so she could attend school, and even then I waited till the very last minute. I think she was a year old or more before getting any, and she missed some very early ones, oh well too late. We avoided the dr unless pushed. She didn't get as many as most kids as a result, and she was born with a midwife (so as to avoid drugs and staph) so she did not get anything at birth except eye drops and love.

whoops I stand corrected, pulled her vaccination card, she did get a few at age 6 mos. A lot of shots on here, at about 1 year, and 5 years old, to start school. I was forced into each and every one of these, all were required by law. I told them she had already had chicken pox when they wanted to do that one, there were other optionals we rejected too. We'll be claiming religious reasons if they ever want to do anymore. I feel so sorry for the young women that will be forced into that HPV injection.

So sick... Ditto for most of us moms on the vcacinations. Even in regards to antibiotics. Our doctor, at the time, was shocked to learn that my daughter hadn't had even one antibiotic by the age 11. He asked me, 'what do you do if when she gets sick.' My daughter piped up, "Vitamin C, Elderberry, and Echinacea." He smiled. Wasn't sure how he took it, but I was a proud mama. LOL
blicero... "I only wish my parents had been so enlightened."
Well put.

No antibiotics here either, echinacea, vitamin C, no elderberry on hand.
Our echinacea (fresh) will cure canker sores overnight, doctors of course tell you nothing can do that, and make a cold go away just as quickly.
I realize they thought they were doing the right thing. I also realize they were too arrogant to ever admit they could possibly be wrong. The problem I have with most doctors/dentists is that they have a very high opinion of themselves, their educations. And from my perspective, their educations are rather limited and far from complete.
My daughter doesn't have a doctor at this point. We stopped going after the kindergarten vaccinations. I don't take her to a dr unless she needs a sports physical, and she has only been to a dentist twice in her life and won't be going again under my watch if I can help it. Aside from the mercury issue, dr and dentist offices/equipment are filthy stuff and a good place to catch something so we don't go. I had a doctor make me pretty sick once about 20 years ago too. So many people die in hospitals from things that happen to them there or infections they catch there these days, it's quite troubling.
We rarely get sick. It's amazing, after I stopped going to my parent's dentist at about the age of 16 or so, I never had many more cavities, maybe 2 or 3 in 30 years. The cavities I supposedly had as a child I think were related to his office and income needs more than anything else.
