I must admit Richard that I havn't done any juicing for years, but I use to be really into it and that was before I was ill, so I suppose it's a bit silly not to do it now. I assume you have got a juicer. I don't know what you can get nowadays, mine was a bit ancient and a pain to clean Anyway going off on a tangent there (very tired, but can't sleep) What I was going to say, which isn't really advice, but the one thing I use to juice a lot, that I read was really good for cleansing your system, was apples, pears and celery and it tastes absolutely delicious. I hope some people add some good advice and recipes, cos I'd be interested too to start doing it again and it's great when you havn't got much time, like a quick nutricious snack. I use to make enough for about two days. I also use to grow my own veg then, love to do it again, but don't really have the space now. Lots of Love Tracy x

I'm not an expert. I juice veg that are a) healthy and b) cheap. Lately I've been pretty fatigued and have got out of the habit completely. Maybe I ought to change my nickname LOL. But I'm happy to help you if I can.
Linda.

I have been juicing for many years and i juice every day. When I started getting serious symptoms I went all 100% raw that was seven months ago. I own or have tried most juicers over the last 10 years. The best in my opinion is the "Green Star" It slowly masticates instead of using centrifugal force. It is by far the best all in one juicer that you can process all greens and fruit and vegetables. It also extracts the most juice. Champion second and the rest are pretty much the same.
My staple juice in 80% celery and 20% parsley. Sometimes I use other greens like cucumbers and zucchini for a change.
A Vitamix is also handy but first get the Green Star. The GreenStar is around 400US and others are about 200 or less.

Some people say you should'nt juice fruit and vegetables together . Any green vegetables will help you detoxify and remove mercury because they have chloryphyll. They also help maintain the proper acid base balance.

Thanks for the replys. Still not doing very well Ray and my digestion has taken a turn for the worse. I am trying juicing to see if it makes a difference. Dont suppose it can hurt. I am wondering how to get protein into juices?

Are you doing anything to combat candida? I recommend grapefruit seed extract.

If your liver and gall bladder are plugged, nothing will work...... there are various naturalpathic tests - (not liver enzyme test because this only shows up when your liver is 90% finished)

The standard liver function test s pointless i agree. Ive come to understand that the most important thing we can do to recover and detox is to look after our liver, this is my number one priority. The candida diet is more or less identical to the liver diet, except the liver diet includes fruit. Dawn

Richard, you could add protein powder to juices. have you tried digestive enzymes with your meals? Also taking lemon juice with a bit of celtic or himalayan sea salt in water before meals helps

Fresh sauerkraut is really good for a finicky stomach.
Pretty easy to make, I keep it in the fridge in a quart jar after stewing on the table for a couple days. Great side dish with lots of food.
Ginger is also good for that. Just eat some fresh or mix in a blender with some honey or xylitol and keep it in the fridge. Yummy too. You can use the ginger mix as a base and add it to seltzer for a zing your tummy might appreciate if queasy.
