Do you have this? It happens to me almost every time, after showering I feel more shaky, weaker, more fatigued etc... Cutler says that feeling more tired after shower is a mercury toxicity symptom, I wonder what might be the mechanism behind that....

I don't know what happens but I do the same thing some days. If I get the water too hot it just zaps me for sure. Yes i believe it is a symptom of mercury toxicity

When I first started detox I felt this way. It also matters if you have chlorinated water. Hot water AND chlorinated water can affect you because you breathe the chlorinated waters' fumes and your skin absorbs the chlorinated water. Chlorine is a known toxin. You can find cheap shower filters on the internet.

I don't know if it's just me, but also when my adrenals were weaker at the beginning of chelation this was a major issue for me. Now that I am a little stronger I don't seem to be affected by these as much.

YES!!!!! I get this every single time which is why I try to limit it as much as possible. I don't sweat much either, so that's lucky. I get the same after a bath (worse).

So I obviously do definitely have mercury poisoning, or something similar. Shower or bath, I cannot have it too hot and have to keep it as short as possible. I am debilitated after a bath, and sickly after a shower.

I used to really enjoy bathing and now I HATE it and try to get it over with. So I stick to showers now, but again still feel sickly after it.

I have reached a point where I get out and have to lie down, I can hardly function. I never really mentioned this much because I just didn't understand it, so I'm not alone in this either!

Wow! Yes I do! I have often become strangely depressed, anxious and moody whilst cooking or if cooking is going on in the kitchen. I do not know why that is, but it's another weird one to add to it.

Something I just didn't think of mentioning and it's quite something to see people bring this up on here. Again, is it the fumes? Or something to do with the metals getting stirred up by the heat? Because it can be quite marked with me and I can get quite upset during it and after it. Takes a while to settle again.

Hi Mikey, yeah I live close to powerlines, but no closer than anybody else around here on the street. In fact, I am down a long driveway, so I'm probably less affected than they are!

It's funny because I never noticed these things before the poisoning! I also get electric shocks very easily and hate it when I get out of my car and turn to shut my door. I get a heck of a shock!

Interesting. I also get these shocks after I open the door in a car and step out. It's not that bad for me, however, but still noticeable. I don't remember if I got these before the poisoning, probably not.

I have been shocking everything. The other day my little boy told me not to touch him anymore....everytime I did I shocked him. The cat don't like me too much either right now. Weird, I thought it was just me.

I woukld get shocks all day long too, the car especially, when i was real sick. Thankfully it stopped, early summer or summer. Haven't noticed it in months. had to be the mercury, I have no idea what else it might have been because the more I chelated the less it happened. It was so noticeable it was even one of the things I mentioned to the doctor at my first visit.

I'm glad i'm not the only one whose "wired". It makes me wonder how much mercury I may still have sitting there all hidden away. Which is why I'm looking forward to trying ALA at some point.

Yes, I do take something for my adrenals. It's called, "ADR" by PUR, you can get it online at www.emersonecologics.com.

Also, I HIGHLY recommend visiting the site: www.adrenalfatigue.com and reading the book by the same author, Dr. Wilson, called "Adrenal Fatigue the 21st Century Syndrome." He also has adrenal support supplements available and has a very good program you can follow by yourself (don't need a doctor to buy the products or do the therapies he recommends). I also recommend: www.drrind.com. Both sites are excellent in regards to addressing adrenal fatigue.

One must make lifestyle changes as well as adding the supplements. As you will see on the websites, in the book, everyone pretty much recommends no sugar (this stresses the adrenals and the thyroid, which are usually both not functioning properly), removing any toxins (including amalgams and chelation) and most important...REST! The website www.adrenalfatigue.com and his book are really, really good at helping one take one step at a time to address adrenal fatigue. It's not an overnight thing...takes time. As with most of us though, it's a combination of things.

I also recommend the saliva test, the one that tests your cortisol levels 4 x's during the day. This helped me understand where my adrenals stood. You may need HC or Cortef for a month or two if they are really fatigued. I did it for 4 months, a little long, but I got ill advice, now I know better.

Ater a year of therapies am I getting back to normal...still I feel the best when I am resting, chelating on a regular basis and basically following the recommended strategies of Dr. Wilson.

I’ve read those books and read those websites. They are very good indeed. That is very good advice.

www.drrind.com is particularly good. A great place to start investigations. I’ve found the temp graph very helpful in seeing whats happening to me and what each product did for my temp. 7-8 weeks i been taking my temp 3 times a day....very informative.

I’m following Dr. Wilsons recommendations too. I’m doing all the herbal supports before I get heavy with….HC.

Just a reminder to check the products you are using in the shower.
I was feeling awful sometimes during or after a shower,this has not happened since I am am now using the bare minimum of products.
I use a completely natural soap.with lavender oil and teatree ,I make myself.
And for shampoo I diluted my old "organic still a bit of rubbish added shampoo" with lots of water & some essential oils again lavender &teatree.
Just as with the msg in foods,companies are trying to disguise the ingredients in hair & body products.
Be aware of this.

Remember the products you are using on your body,it might make all the difference.

Actually I have that book by Wilson. The problem is, I dont know what the problem really is with my adrenals. You see, my morning cortisol is (blood test) is always very high, last time it was 780 (150-650). And I did the saliva test too, the morning level was low (just below the range) and the others were "normal". (but my sleeping rhythm isnt normal either, when I did the test I used to get up really late so that might have affected the morning result).

I also tried HC for two months and didnt really feel any better. I started from 2,5 mg and upped to 10+5+5 a day, no effect.

I also took the supplements Wilson recommends for many months, not much effect.

So I dont know what is going on. It feels like my cortisol or adrenaline is too high all the time... <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/confused.gif" alt="" />

But I know that it is the adrerals that are messed up and its causing all the symptoms, many alternative doctors have agreed. The problem just is I dont know what is the problem exactly, what is low, what is high etc...

EDIT Oh one more thing, I dont have Cushing's, thats been ruled out by other tests.

Feeling wost after the shower- get a filter to remove the chlorine. Andy Cutler talks about this. Sensitivity to chlorine strongly suggests that you are deficient in taurine.

I also would use only chemical free soap, shampoo and conditioner. I use Avalon.

constant shocking problem-Oh my, this one used to drive me crazy and whenever I got brave enough to mention it to a dr. they thought I was crazy. In my opinion (because there is nothing on the net that I could find, but based on my personal experience) this is caused from being dehydrated. That is why it gets worst in the winter when the heat is running, but still doesn't go away in the rest of the year. I soon learned to use this as a sign that I needed to drink even yet more water!

Oh, it just occured to me as I was looking over this that taurine has an effect on the electrolyte balance (helps with getting magnesium into the cells) so the two things are probably connected. I use magnesium taurate.

Finn: sometimes its a COMBINATION of therapies to heal the adrenals. Do you still have mercury in your system/body? If so, adrenal therapy can help to a point. However, one must remove the burdens: diet, lifestyle and toxin stresses. As Dr. Wilson notes in his book if the adrenals aren't responding, toxins are the problem.

Also, for me it took SEVERAL months, almost a year before my adrenal therapy had a noticeable change. It was a combination of destressing, diet and chelation along with a LOT of prayer.

Yes, page 228 he talks about Body Burdens and if you are not progressing as you should be check for a list of things. One of the things is on page 229-230 "Dental Problems".

Adrenal cell extracts (supplements) are discussed beginning on page 209. I would re-read 209-245. I think many of your questions will be answered there.

good catch gabriella : pages 228-230 of" arderal fatigue " was the turning point for me.
followed by the amalgam removal and root canal removal for me .

A hot bath made me feel significantly worth every time. Not immediately but the following two, three days. A shower was not so much bad, so I changed my habit and also shortened the time. I also realised that air pressure change has the same effect. Physical activity has similar affect as well. I came to the conclusion, that all of them mobilize mercury. The good news is that these symptoms have softened recently. (After around a dozen bottles of Algin, much more Chlorella, let alone Whey protein.)

My knees become red and VERY weak during and after hot showers. I'm not sure how long this has been going on, but it's probably been a while. Has anyone else experienced anything similar with his/her knees?

There is something sinister happening my knees,they are just not like the used to be,after a half hour lego building session on the floor with my son ,the other day,I could hardly straighten my legs out.on closer inspection my knees looked red and a bit swolen.

They have been ok since.They just feel more fragile than ever before.I supplement magnesium but never calcium and wonder have I now become low in calcium.

Recently I have discovered I am very electrically sensitive.
I have posted before about experiencing weak spells and numbness during a shower and I thought it had something to do with the products I was using,soap & shampoo...and it made a positive difference when I changed to completely natural products.
