Andy writes about prednisolon/hydrocortisone taper (for 5 days or more) to help with the "paradoxical adrenal response". Has anyone tried that? I'm considering trying it, at least it would prove if adrenals are my major problem or not.
Btw, does this sound adrenal to you: -contanst nervousness, tremors, rapid heart beat, muscle tension?
I feel like there is an adrenaline rush going on all the time in my body...

Go to the website: www.adrenalfatigue.com, buy the book "Adrenal Fatigue: the 21st Century Syndrome. Another website: www.drrind.com. See my other posts, this will help you. Get the cortisol test to see what your levels are over a day or 24 hour period. These help you decide what course of action to take...going the natural route or taking something like HC or doing a prednisone taper. I really do not recommend prednisone. It's a lot harder to get off of than HC and it has much worse side effects. The cortisol test will really help you figure out what therapy you need.

Mikey, did you ever take the morning cortisol blood test and was it high too? I'm so confused if I have high or low cortisol, my morning cortisol (blood test) is always above the range but the in saliva test the morning result was very low (others during the day were normal) I tried hydrocortisone for 2 months and didnt notice any difference, the tremors got little better but thats about it.

Mikey, thats really interesting.. one more thing about that 24 hour urine cortisol test: does that tell how much there are other hormones too, like sex hormones etc? finn: both blood and urine cortisol were high in my case ,if you do any testing I recomend the 24 hour urine cortisol , it is more accurate , as for saliva test I had 2 done about 3 months apart and both came back as very low cortisol ,I do not trust saliva test as they can be thrown off very easily by just drinking water before a test , blood and urine are more reliable in my case
