Hi all, I have done 31 rounds now of dmsa and Im up to 75 mgs with ALA every 31/2 to 4 hrs, 3-4 days a week. Then I stop for 4days. I began 7 months ago after waiting 3 months post amalgam removal. I was able to very slowly go off my anti dep med and am off 50% but it has taken me 7 months. I am unable to go farther as I tried last month and it was soooo bad. Jan 1st I did do a partial fast for 21 days to detox and only ate fruits, veggies, beans, lentils, ultra meal (protein powder mix low glycemic) soup, seeds and nuts. I struggled but I noticed my headaches went away. I made it through and lost 7 lbs. Yay! Well I am off the fast now and I notice almost everything I eat seems to irritate me. Headaches, brain fog, fatigue, depression and on it goes. Im trying to stick with meat, eggs, esekial tortillas, brown rice, butter, protein shakes fruits and veggies. Its OK but any time I go out Oh man I suffer terribly! I had panda express, with 1/2 veggies, 1/2 chow mein and some plain mandarin chicken w/ no sauce. 20-30 after I eat I am depressed and have a terrible headache.
I realize I may have numerous food sensitivities but my options are limited and Im tired of lentil and vegie soup! Im beginning to wonder if this DMSA has helped me at all. What is my problem? Food or merc toxicity? This really sucks and Im so frustrated as I have dumped so much time and $ into these cutler protocols. Plase help me if anyone has a clue, thank you! Diane

Wow. that is a lot of DMSA over several months. i'm not a doctor but I wouldsay... take a break and see how you feel after a couple weeks. if you do not get recurring symptoms, you can stay off your chelating I think. I don't ever do 'rounds' the cutler way, i just use dmsa when I feel i need it... a couple days of 50 mgs twice a day will usually clear up any old recurring mercury poisoning symptoms for me. I need to do that maybe every 10-15 days or so at this point, that's all.

your body does naturally detox too. have you done a colon cleanse? liver cleanse? Parasite cleanse? Those 3 items are real important too. It's pretty safe to assume that if you had a heavy metal problem you have other things going on and those cleanses will take care of a lot of miscellaneous problems.

Chinese food is full of MSG. Lots of people get headaches from it. Not a safe food item. Most restaurant food, unless it's a five star restaurant, is questionable.

Expect to lose another 10 pounds with a colon cleanse. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" /> If you do all 3 cleanses... i would start with a colon cleanse, probably combine that with a parasite cleanse, and do a few (Hulda Clark) liver cleanses...and your headaches should disappear too.

i also take feverfew to help with headaches. i usually only get one these days if i start getting constipated (but I still take some a couple times a week just in case). toxins accumulate down there and make make me feel like total crap. pun intended i guess.

I try to eat healthy, salads, veggies, all that... but I have a big soft spot for pasta and things like bagels with cream cheese... I also eat a lot of vanilla yogurt to keep the tummy in gear. and pineapple is great for digestion too. Buy the most natural yogurt you can find, check your labels, some yogurts are full of unecessary junk.

Diane, your DMSA and ALA dosage is very very high. You can hurt yourself if you go to fast.

I think your food allergies are probably caused by mercury.(leaky gut, candida, dysbiosis etc.)

7 months post removal is not much if you have been severly poisoned for many years. It will take a while to get well. Don't be too aggressive, it won't help you.

It sounds like you probably have a candida problem. You may be very sensitive to garlic. Garlic is a strong antifungal, but it also mobilizes mercury. There was a time that I was so senstive to garlic. i felt very sick after eating it. I was doing much worse when I was eating fruit. Perhaps you should replace the fruit in your diet with vegetables. Also of course avoid processed sugar and alcohol. You might also want to eliminate rice, pasta, bread, etc. at least for the initial stage. Take a probiotic supplement, or eat plain unsweetened yogurt. You could add cinnamon to your food. Cinnamon is an antifungal. You might want to also take olive leaf extract, caprylic acid, oil of oregano, grapefruit seed extract, or other antifungals. Some are suggesting a parasite clense. Imo that might be a good idea after combating the candida for a while. The parasite clense is also antifungal, but if you don't fight the candida first, you might feel really horrible while doing the parasite clense.

I have been using grapefruit seed extract off and on lately to keep candida under control. Works greats, you don;t need more than a few days of it at a time, will lower yeast levels substantially quite quickly. olive leaf extract is probably real good too, it's an ingedient in the candida cleanse product on my shelf.

The first time I ever did a full candida cleanse many years ago, I remember quite distinctly that it made me feel like heck for about 7-10 days and then since I have had the yeasts pretty much under control for years. So either way in my opinion, if you have never done a candida cleanse, doing a full parasite cleanse won't make you feel any worse the first time around. I feel really good whenever I do anti-parasitics (I like black walnut hull tincture), it actually makes me feel better not worse. Kill the wormy parasites along with the candida and you'll absorb more nutrients, which is quite helpful.

You really do need to do a colon cleanse first or with it though if you want to unload the dead stuff properly. Otherwise a lot of it wuill just clog up your colon and liver. every time i do a liver flush I see some amazing things.

HI and thx for the feedback. I know I have had candida problems and probably still do. I have been off of sugar, alcohol, white flour and even pasta except for an occasional panda express with some chow mein. I eat organic brown rice as my carb source. I have done colonics and have done treatments even last month. I have also done a parasite cleanse. Maybe I should just lay off the dmsa for awhile. Appreciate the input. I have a feeling my digestion may be really screwed up possibly due to the merc poisoning. Is there any way to fix that? Will I ever be able to eat normal again? Like have pizza and stuff? I love pizza. and beer. I can eat it but not everyday. maybe once a month I might go out for a pizza and beer binge. And don't forget the hot wings!!! I looove a huge steak. and lamb chops. and popcorn. and bagels. and potato chips.

yeah I would lay off the dmsa. you might be maxed out from that.

Did you do the liver flush too? don't forget the liver flush. If you did a parasite cleanse recently you can probably do one any day whenever you are ready. If you wait too long you have to do another parasite cleanse. it's the hulda clark liver cleanse, works like a charm/

And then if it were me i would relax, and stop chelating for a bit, maybe forever, well not forever in this filthy world but never so much again... take plenty of vitamins for a couple weeks and eat lots of salad... on the side with pizza <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />.

mental states affect our health I think so eat the pizza if it makes you happy.

keep some herbal laxatives handy just in case.

EAT FRESH PINEAPPLE. parasites hate it, your tummy loves it. Include some pinapple everyday and t=you should be able to eat whatever you want. stay away from synthetic junk though. slurpees are not good for you, ever.

Hi Dianne, if you have candida and you're eating anything like lentils, grains (rice included), fruit, milk, cheese, potatoes/corn/peas/beans etc, you will feed it.

Candida feeds readily on any higher carb foods. You will get plenty of nutrients and energy from proteins and fats, as well as the lower carb vegetables. Plus you can have lemons and tomatoes (which are actually a low carb fruit).

and read the "articles". You'll find a great many myths revealed on here too. I use this diet, but a more modified version. I still include a few raw nuts and seeds and acidophilus (sugar free and plain) yoghurt and sometimes have carrots.

If I cheat on any fruit or any grains (even non gluten) or potatoes, corn, peans/beans etc, I relapse completely and have to start again. Candida isn't that fussy where it gets its sugars from, even if they are natural from fruit, honey or grain, spuds. It will feed readily.

It may not be "as" bad as other sugar, but for me? It's proving near enough.

If your chelation is not taking you any further, it maybe because candida is covering up progress by its own toxins. It could also mean there is something else amiss that is keeping you from experiencing further improvements.

Chelation doesn't work for me anymore and I believe it is because my body cannot detox or heal properly due to virus and possible jawbone cavitations. It just doesn't assert itself Cavitations can actually block healing properly. Andy Cutler mentions this in his book for those who have hit a brick wall with healing. They can be a possible cause of that.

Hal Huggins mentions it too. Coincidence or not, my problems worsened ten fold after wisdom tooth removal (a common cause of cavitations).

But I would definitely get more serious about treating candida. Potatoes, corn, peas, lentils/beans, grains, fruits, honey, milk, cheese, etc are some of the worst culprits. Some people who may have a stronger immunity or less candida, can get away with eating these things much more than others.

When I was healthier and didn't have these other problems I now have, I could eat a much looser candida diet. I could eat some fruit, some honey, and non gluten grain and even some milk in my tea and cereals and even potatoe chips! This is now impossible.

hi diane : I'm sorry you are feeling so bad , It would be a good idea to take a break from the chelation for a while and let your body recover from the stress the chelation puts on your body , I had to quite my chelation also , I didn't know if it was helping or making things worse and know what you are going through , and like you I love chinese food ,I think that I have candida according to the test results from the water/spit test from this forum , I am going to try another type of chelation , I have read some good things about zeolites ,they are supposed to remove mercury , other toxins , heavy metals and kills cadida at the same time without the side effects of chelators like dmps,dmsa and ala, I will let you know how it gos , hang in there diane and hope you feel better soon

Grapefruit seed extract, 12 drops or so in a glass of water, once or twice a day for just a few days in a row maybe once a month is all, should easily keep candida under control, unless you have a major major problem with it.

Hi Diane, congratulation for doing so much for so long. Cool protocol and nice high doses too….i’m on a measly 6mg…..i’m jealous! Its encouraging to hear people doing it and getting better, even if its taking too long. And you doing lots of cleanses too…cool.


I have a couple of comments:

-100pct dmsa has helped you. You are obviously much better than before. Don’t be discouraged…..its working…just a bit too slowly!

-Food or mercury problem? Yes both, mercury is still causing the food problems, which is why all the cleanses are important to keep doing them.
Bowel cleanse, parasite cleanse, kidney cleanse……. bowel cleanse, parasite cleanse, kidney cleanse…… bowel cleanse, parasite cleanse, kidney cleanse…….interspersed with some liver flushing if you can handle it. Don’t forget: detox baths, castor oil packs, supplements, dry skin brushing, adrenals, thyroids…blah blah blah
The mercury takes a long time to go, and so do all the problems it causes. Just because you did a cleanse 6 months ago, does not mean you should relax. My opinion is the cleanses need doing very often. For me, the cleanses cause many “interesting” symptoms when I do them, so right now I cannot chelate and do the cleanses at the same time. I just took 6 week off DMSA and did all the cleanses…bam bam bam….everything got better, I feel 60pct better than before the cleanses…and I’m back to chelating now. Maybe try that? break from dmsa and do 1 month bowel and 1 month parasite cleanse (at the same time), then kidney cleanse and chuck in a liver flush if you feeling strong. Chelation is hard and these cleanses will cleanse you and give you some well earned recuperation time?

-Diet: if the detox diet worked…………….and the normal diet didn’t work……….then stay on the detox diet! If it boring but you feel better……..stay on the detox diet!

There are a whole host if different methods for kidney cleansing. I use two

1) Drink 2 litres of water per day. Every day. Forever.
2) I use the Andreas Moritz herbs for kidney cleanses. Just make a batch of tea in the morning and drink throughout the day. Drink everyday for 20-30 days. Its piss easy………………..lol!

Sunshine, I ordered the tea. And, just want to make sure all you do is just make a batch every day, drink for 20-30 days along with lots of water? I don't want to buy the book if that's the basic instructions. Thanks so much for all your valuable information. What a God-send!

Theoretically you can just drink water and that should do the trick, but us mercury toxic people need a kick in the right direction and the tea really helps big time.

What you ordered comes with instructions, but its easy, you just soak the tea overnight, then brew in up in the morning, then just drink during the day. I think you have to drink it away from food, but it comes with instructions and you don’t need to read a book.
