lol! sounds like me. I bought the video to all his songs and only liked a few, the rest I thought was kind of odd fairy tale weird stuff. Probably fun for kids, but it was just a bit ....um amateurish to me. Yeah, I wasn't into the punk stuff either much. I enjoyed "Ant music" and "stand and deliver" and a few others were ok as well. The crush helped though, so I didn't mind watching most of his songs, but in all honesty, the music didn't exactly bowl me over.

He has I think bipolar disorder? (manic depression?) and this has caused a few problems for him. He wound up being taken away and put in the alice and wonderland ward for a while. Because he threatened some people with a gun in a London pub I think. They had whistled the tune to "the good, the bad, the ugly" when he walked in (he was in some kind of cowboy get up), so he left and came back with a gun (unloaded I think) and threatened them.

The cleanses you are about to do are gonna do you a world of good. A good spring clean is what u need. They transformed my life from misery downward spiralling hell to healing and I am 100pct sure they will help u too. 100pct sure.

Mercury is obviously still a big problem and you are gonna have to chelate some more, mostly likely with ALA, but do the cleanses first.

I think Adam was a wonderful front man and the band had some very good songs. lol stand and deliver is hilarious. One thing about them, they didn't take themselves seriously either. Very much tongue in cheek.

Hmm, the gaining weight without eating much....well ive had that too. I've had both occur. Eating heaps and gaining nothing and then the opposite. Hard to say Sunshine, I think either way, with mercury, whether poisoned by it and/or detoxing the stuff, you can get some unusual swings. Perhaps your body is gaining some much needed weight too. You maybe right, some increased absorption of nutrients.

lol I can't get off the forum either, don't worry. I feel rotten, so I'm vegetating a lot because I can't do much else. I feel this place is somewhere I can go and just relax on. When you're unwell, you tend to grab something and hold onto it whilst you travel on this journey trying to get well. I reckon this is a pretty darned good place to be! I'd rather this, than some other possibly harmful outlet! So I share the obsession.

I can actually handle soccer, more than rugby. I'm not a sporty person to be honest, but if it comes on, I would rather sit down and watch that, than rugby. Thanks Sunshine. I think in retrospect perhaps I ought not to have done this dental work. Being in the vulnerable position I was already in, it was probably a bad move. But I can't turn back the clock, so I have to deal with it as it is. I just didn't expect this.

I hope the cleanses might help too. So much to do, hormone stuff as well. Yeah ALA maybe required at some point. I'm just poisoned to the gills right now. Here's hoping the cleanse will .... well. clean me out! Get things moving a bit more.

Then I smack myself around the face……the mercury had to come out at some point, however it done its gonna have hurt me. maybe I could have done the cleanses first…but I didn’t know about all that. Yes, it's easy to regret amalgam removal when you hit the detox. Because I found the detox more painful than how I felt with amalgams many times. But those patches inbetween that you get when you feel almost normal give you some idea of what is to come later on when you get more out. Eventually the better patches start to become longer and longer. There comes a time when you get hit by health out of the blue and it lasts.

Yeah the bit of amalgam the dentist found was only under one top tooth and only a bit, but who knows how significant it may have been. However, any dental office visit makes me sick anyway, so I maybe I"m getting hit by a lot of this at onetime. I figure my immune system and the infections are more significant to be honest, becaue that's when I stopped detoxing the mercury properly and when everything went wrong. Before that, I was getting better as time wore on, even with that bit of amalgam sitting there.

Anyway, time will tell.

That's great you felt so good tonight! That gives you some idea of what eventually happens long term. When you have freedom from this poison, you actually start to feel you're on a natural high almost permanently (within reason). Especially eating the right diet at the sametime. So yeah it's not "just" about amalgam removal, other things come into play too.

Yes, I did hear about Michael re-releasing that and I'd like to get it too. I was crazy about him as well. Good grief, I sound strange. I have watched thriller again and again. That man defined music videos. The first time I saw it was the "coka cola" weekend. I think this was..? 1984 or so. My whole family stayed up and watched and even Mum and Dad were absolutely floored by it. WE all were. I never forgot that weekend. We taped one song after another.

Back then, you could just sit and watch or listen to one hit after another. They never seemed to stop. And michael was a phenomenon to me. I still don't know anybody that has reached his status to be honest.

Have you guys ever seen Michael Jackson "Ghosts"? That's a very long clever music video. With Michael disguised as a fat white man with glasses as well as being himself. Special effects are as you can imagine used to their upmost. It's weird, freaky, amazing yet to my mind it lost it a bit. I found it too long, too monotonous, and because of that it became tiresome in a way.... yet it is well worth a view at the sametime. Sunshine "Moonwalker" is not the greatest video, but I enjoyed it nevertheless. It was unusual! But had some good stuff in there and also at the beginning it goes back over michael's career in an enjoyable way. I kind of liked it in a way. Strange story, lots of bits and pieces put into one film. I got my neice and nephew into Michael and they think he's just the cat's pajamas.

I used to like Wham and I like George Michael. He's got great songs. That guy is talented. His voice is excellent, even live. I love "fast love" too. THe first time I heard that was in Paris. So I associate that song with Paris everytime I hear it.

It's interesting to hear about what people miss from the 80s. I thought it was an awful time in which to grow up and whenever I hear some pop song that I haven't heard in 20 years I don't get that warm-inside nostalgic feeling; it's more like, "oh god, noooooo!" Maybe you could call it anti-nostalgia or something. I hated cheerleaders with their big hair. I hated Ronald Reagan. I dressed in the fashion and listened to pop songs on the radio until I discovered other music that I liked a lot more. I guess it doesn't help that my teenage years were pretty miserable.

If someone starts a thread about 60s and 70s music with Led Zeppelin, The Beatles, Jimi Hendrix and . . . erm, Tom Waits (who is still going strong), I'm there. My husband and I say we were born 20 years too late.

Hi Linda, yeah it is nostalgia to a point...but it's more than that. It's only nostaligia because the songs to my mind would great. The hits came one after the other then. I think I seek refuge in that because the ones of today (for the most part) to my mind are cr*p.

No wonder we return to what was, because what's there to enjoy in music today? Not a heck of a lot. You can sort through it and find "some" I guess, but it few and far between in my opinion. I don't know about you guys, but I get tired of the conveyer belt pop tarts who are their for image and not much more. They all have the same kind of voice, they all do the same kind of annoying stuff with their voice, they all perade about in scantily clad outfits and gyrate around trying to outdo eachother in "sex appeal". They have zero idea of true charisma, charm and talent and subtle sex appeal and how to really make music, much-less deliver a song.

No offense guys, it's just my opinion. I really find it a letdown to the music industry and you find on youtube, so many comments from people who feel the same way. people are just scrabbling back in time to what was, the true talents. It's nothing to do with age, you've got plenty of very young people finding it also and becoming disallusioned with what is today. Some do not even KNOW what real music is and are sucked into the hype and plastic rubbish of today.

So yeah, give me the 60s, the 70s, the 80s, even some of the 90s ANYDAY!!!!

I'm sorry Linda that those times do not bring back such happy memories for you and often by association, you can really be put off hearing anything that reminds you of it. That is unfortunate, but I guess we've all got that somewhere in our lives. I have it too with stuff and it just makes me feel sick to re-experience the feelings that go along with it.

I'm one of those people that I just take a song as it is. I'm not always so fussed on every song that particular person may bring out. So I usually have a mixture of songs by different artists. I can't say I am great on one artist or one band with all their music...that's rare for me.

I like fleetwood mac, Michael Jackson etc though. There are some for me that usually come out with alot of songs I enjoy!

I agree Bex. I must sound like a little old lady to the youths of today, but I feel the same way about the female pop stars and celebrities. My eyes were opened to all this sexualisation when I started going to the gym and they had MTV on in front of the treadmills. Most of the videos were just soft porn and it's got worse since then. I don't want to see my 5-year-old girl growing up with that kind of pressure on her. The problem is that as time goes on, people keep pushing the envelope of what's acceptable. This happens with violent films and video games too. I don't know where it will stop or what will make it stop.

I was liking Amy Winehouse for a while until she fell apart. That said, I don't find her outfits or gyrations particularly appealing. There are up-and-coming singers like Adele. Good heavens, a female singer who wants to get by on her talent and not how well she can imitate a porn star.

Until recently I, too, was saying there hadn't been anything good on the radio for over 20 years. Maybe that's changing though. Some very old musical styles are coming back. Blues, jazz and scat seem to be getting popular again. Tom Waits could teach them a bit about that LOL. He's a bit like Picasso. Picasso could draw like Michelangelo when he was 10 but he chose to do other things with his talents. Tom Waits could blues and booze it up with the best of the jazzy nightclub singers -- he really could sing -- but instead he decided to cultivate his talents in other ways. In my opinion he is unparalleled in creativity and innovation.

Still, 80s . . . maybe someone will post something here that pleasantly surprises me -- that I like. I've watched a little of Weird Al Yankovic's older stuff lately. I've always liked him. There was a clip from an 80s movie he made full of parodies of songs like "Money for Nothing." The video was big back then. It was one of those "Oh my god --- um, I'm not sure this deserves to be memorable" kinds of moments. They used to play that "Money for Nothing" video so often I got sick of it. Couldn't hold a candle to a song like "Sultans of Swing" anyway.

Would you believe I used to be mad about Duran Duran? God, noooo! Every time I think of it my insides cringe.

Sunflower, I'm afraid I haven't heard of the musicians you mentioned, apart from Tom Waits. What's their music like? I enjoy going to YouTube and looking things up there. You can find practically anything. I was listening briefly last night to Creedence Clearwater Revival, Johnny Cash, and someone called Johnny Hathaway. I don't know why Johnny Cash was so popular. He was just a singing cowboy if you ask me.

Tom Waits is pretty obscure for most, glad to meet someone else who has heard of him. I think Mule Variations and Bone Machine are favourites, though really I like everything he does. Unfortunately I just can't take much of it while my symptoms are bad because at times it's like walking into a garage where people are banging on the walls, garbage cans etc LOL. There are a lot of clips of him on YouTube from talk shows. He's a very funny person and some of the things he says are so "out there" -- but they're funny too. I doubt I'll ever get to see him in concert but I'm glad he's still making music. He strikes me as a very genuine person who is happy to do his own thing, in an industry where image is so important to so many people.

You will not like this. I’m showing not so much for the music, although I love the music, but for the atmosphere. The lazers, the darkness, throbbing bass, underground, loved up, hot, sweaty, wild abandon, forget everything and just go funking crazy. This is where I used to kill many many brain cells. I used to dance there all night long every weekend, only leaving at 6-7-8am. T’was an unbelievably exciting time of my life.

It really screwed me up too. Totally and utterly.

It stuff I took used to make me grind my teeth, which released lots and lots of mercury. I used to grind my teeth soooooo hard too.

It’s closing soon. There is one last party……I have a ticket. 21st march. I will have to be extremely careful I don’t get carried away and do anything that I will regret in the morning. Last time I did and it put me back 3-4 months.

Thanks for the link Sunshine. I wish I could listen to it loud myself, but it's good I can listen to it at all. In the past when my symptoms were at their worst, I couldn't even read news sites on the internet, couldn't listen to music of any kind. It's nice that the beginning of Voodoo Chile still gives me shivers, it's so classic. My husband and I were looking at Hendrix stuff on the internet recently and he'd found a few clips where Henrix was setting fire to his guitar or playing it with his teeth. Not sure what else to add here. I'm struggling and it's hard to dig out the enthusiasm for this, but sometimes it does help to cheer me up. I like so many different kinds of music, just not stuff that's been around the last 20 years or so unfortunately. As far as older rock stars like Hendrix go, I also particularly like Led Zeppelin, Rush, the Doors, Jethro Tull -- most anything you'd get on one of those radio stations that plays old rock tunes. I wish we had one here; you can tune in to them in any city in the US. Rush are still around but I think their heyday was in the early 80s. Ian Anderson comes to Leicester in concert fairly often. I had to send my husband with some friends last time though because I don't think my adrenal system can cope yet with a loud concert. It's at least healed enough to cope with deafening fire alarms going off in my school so that's encouraging.

That's totally OK Sunshine. Everyone has their own tastes. I think a lot of people enjoy clubbing. Me, I'm just a seeker of peace and quiet. I would enjoy finding a secluded spot somewhere in the woods, near a stream, and doing tai chi. I would just suggest one thing though: if it's a hobby which requires drugs to make it more enjoyable, then maybe it's worth a think. Are there people who go to clubs like that who do enjoy it without drugs?

Exactly Linda, where's the music? It's just a front runner for soft porn some of these new artists and their "videos". No creativity, nothing except "image Image Image". Certainly kids don't get much of a chance to grow being inspired by anything except 'sex and image", unless you actually expose them to the stuff we grew up with and give them a chance to see what real music and talent is. That includes movies too.

I think the industry has already pretty much fallen anyway, so what happens from here on in will be more of the same or worse. So I just take a trip back in time and I try and avoid as much of todays garbage as I can. Don't get me wrong, there are the few gems that come out today and you grab them with both hands because they seem to be few and far between.

It's about the people in charge of all these things, what they are promoting all for the big dollar, which is what it's really about now. So yeah, I guess we go back to the music we enjoy and can actually let kids watch as well, it's for everybody really! I show my neice and nephew the songs that I grew up with and they respond to it wonderfully. They love it and ask me to put it on again and again.

They see so much garbage of today that if they're not shown anything else, that's all they'll know. I'll have to keep open though, because as you say Linda, there are some that come out and don't rely on image and sex to put across a song. But it's hard, because the rest tend to ruin it for the others.

– some do, not many at the clubs like that, that I used to frequent, maybe 10-15pct? I did it occasionally, towards the end. Trouble is you get tired quickly and have to go home. It’s the middle of the night and you use up lots of energy….without anything to keep you going…. its not possible.

Anyway….all thats over for me now. All I have is my memories of the fun times I had…. only the music lives on. I still listen to all the latest tracks by the current freshest DJ’s. Not the commercial crap on MTV, real underground stuff……if you know where to look….its alive and kicking…fresh new music is all over the place…just you really need to know where to look. I was well into Metallica…..excellent aggressive music….just my cup of tea. “Enter sandman” is one of their classic tracks….i loved all the early metallica stuff. It hasn’t aged as well as some music.

I have all the Iron maiden albums…great tracks like “Rhyme of the ancient mariner” – I always liked that track the most.

But for me…..AC/DC where wot did it for me. Totally. I was a AC/DC freak….in fact “Powerage” remains my all time favourite album still to this day. “Highway to hell” is 2nd on the list. I still remember all the words to all the songs. I still play them now and then. On my wall at home I always have one of the AC/DC album on show. I have this clip frame that you put album covers in……..thats real art all those old album covers.

Can't say I ever liked heavy metal myself, but I love its granddaddies, Led Zeppelin. It would be cool if they decided to do a concert tour. They're maybe a bit creaky, and I doubt if Rob can still hit the high notes, but judging from their recent concert they've still "got it."

I used to work with a teacher who was a reporter in Birmingham when Robert Plant was trying to get publicity for himself and his new music career. Apparently the principal of his school insisted he would never amount to anything. For years afterweard he'd send the principal a post card from wherever in the world Led Zeppelin were touring LOL.

Sunshine, I was more into AC/DC also, I went to their live concert when they came to New Zealand about 15 years ago now. Someone got knived there too. It was quite scary, so we stayed up on the seats, rather than go down into the crowd where the "action" was.

They were excellent live. I was amazed at how good they were and I thought Angus was hilarious too. I then got the CD with their hits, but for me I enjoyed the original lead singer too (Bon Scott). But never had stuff from him as such.

I had all the "thunderstruck " and "money talks" etc. Back in black. All of those.

MEtallica was not a band I ever got to know much about. I just never forgot "enter sandman", but one song of theirs really got to me "One". That upset me because of what it was about. That guy (war) that lost his limbs, his eyesight and his hearing and lay there like a vegetable with his brain still completely intact, unable to communicate with anybody.

Iron Maidon, again a band I haven't heard enough of either. Ac/DC is the only one I'm much more familiar with.

Like LInda, I wasn't so much into heavy metal, as I was other music. Led Zepplin was another band I am not overly familiar with in regards to their songs. Of course we all know 'stairway to Heaven" which I love. That song was haunting to say the least. some weird lyrics too.

What do you guys think of Def Leppard? That's another band I loved. "Love bites".

Linda, if only you could get the kids you teach into some of the music we were all brought up with, even the stuff before our time, because most of them have no idea what real music is half the time. Christina may have a great voice, but again I'm just not sold on any of them to be honest.

Other bands I like are U2 and Faith No More. Here are some tracks from Faith No more. Let me know your opinions on them because they are a band I feel improved with time. When they first came out, I wasn't fussed. Later? Wow, I was surprised. Admittedly I liked the lead singer, but I'm not that stupid to let that get in the way of judging the music.

This guy's voice to my mind is one of the best I have heard in this type of music. What amused me was, my brother had a video game (playstation 3), a very dark, morbid game, quite disturbing, but amazing to go through and we had no idea the entire time the lead singer from faith no more (Michael Patton)did the voice of evil in the game.

I found this song yet another one that for some reason I really take to. It's just got an eerie kind of seedy feel about it. I know it's not that uplifting or 80s, but I still think it's worth a view/listen.

Yes, do check out "Faith No More" Sunshine, this band is growing on me and I"m checking out more and more of their music. When they first came out, i wasn't interested. They were loud, in your face, very young and not quite my cup of tea. But they developed as time wore on and the difference is quite remarkable. Now I love some of their music.

I’m also big into HIfi’s. I have a great big HIFI. Power amps and stuff like that. I have a huge music collection….lots of different stuff too…been collecting for a LONG time now…..

Yes, music has been much involved in my life also, from a wee child. I had to be around it, had to listen to it everyday almost. I would go into another world too. I was the one in the family that was most into it to almost an extreme. Still am. Not sure what it is, but I don't think a day goes by when I don't listen to it, it's rare if it does.

Hi, yes at the time it would have been a lot of fun. I too would have done those things I"m sure, had I had better health. But from such an early age, I didn't (15), so my tendencies in that area didn't really come to fruition....but I know myself well enough to see what road I may have gone down.

The body can only take so much I guess. But at least you're doing something about it, I know plenty that don't and you're far from old, so you've got so much ahead of you.

I don't know about you, but I remember the patches of health I used to be able to attain and that was the best high ever. Nothing really can compare to health and the feelings you gain from it, that is true euphoria.

Yeah, I couldn't listen to faith no more all the time either. I like it as a change though. But it's growing on me more lately I admit.

“Meet the parents” was very good, but the next one….”Meet the fockers” was/is one of the funniest films I have ever seen……i cried in that film I laughed so hard. In fact I watched it twice in a row it was so funny. Was on a long haul flight at the time and just watch it back-to-back…..in fact I may relive that again and watch it tonight…..

Have you seen "One Flew Over the Cuckoo's nest"? I love that film. Jack Nicolson. Another classic. If you haven't seen it, you should. Have you seen "Mouse Hunt"? Another one you gotta see. This one is great for kids and adults. Dad adores it.

Romper Stomper is a pretty cruel but accurate and sobering film and well acted. I was quite captivated by it, but it was just so horribly violent (about skin heads and racism to asians in their country). But you may enjoy more uplifting films!

One flew over the cuckoo nest is excellent. I saw that first at the threatre….i had no idea of the storyline….the ending was horrific. Shocked the pants off me. Film was also superb. If you have not read the book…..you should….i know you seen the film……but the book is o so powerful…..the last line in the book is ………….is deadly. Not many books end like that. I would say that book has the best last line ever. I will not spoil it for you…..but that book is a mega classic.

I seem to be into comedy films right now….not heard of Mouse Hunt or the princess bride so I will order that when I next order from Amazon.

Try 'Without a Paddle' for a 4.5 star hilarious film. That one is the most popular in our house, flies off the shelf whenever my daughter has a friend over... i think she lost it by now I cannot find it anymore, too bad but a bit racy in certain parts for the kids anyway.

Wedding Crashers, eh, I'd give it 3 stars.

'Crash' is real good if you haven't seen that yet, not a comedy though. you won't keep that one on the shelf either.

'Ray', the movie about Ray Charles, a couple years old, is also superb, the soundtrack is awesome, a must see, one to keep on the shelf also. He helped them make that film, he died just as they were finishing it.

Bex, if you want really super Christian contemporary pick up The Lime Cd by David Crowder Band.

Yeah, the book versions are usually far more powerful and better than any film can completely portray. I've not read One flew over in book version! Im probably a bit too unwell to concentrate on a book, which is why movies tend to suit me better. The film for me was hilarious too, but very very sad. I was actually VERY UPSET by the ending because I got to really love Jack's Character! He brought the life out in those people. ..I remember he said to them "you're no crazier than the average joe walking along the street". I think it was a very powerful movie without any pretention to it.

lol, I have to see "Meet the Fockers". I mentioned it to my father and he's interested now. Me and Dad share taste in most movies and that helps! He HATED dumb and dumber though, but I saw some of it and I was laughing, but I never saw it all. I just cracked up at the absolute goofiness of what I saw. I didn't see the part you mentioned though lol. The Cable guy was weird, but I actually found parts of that funny as well.

Yes, do rent Princess Bride and Mouse Hunt. I can't say that these are what you'd call "deep" movies, but they I think are delightful. These are the ones you can enjoy with your kids. The kind that even adults enjoy (usually anyway). You may not see it the same way I did. Let me know what you think of them if/when you do watch them.

np for the blackadder links. Brings back memories and makes me want to start watching the DVDs again. I adore Blackadder. You know, I remember the first time that series came on TV and I refused to watch it. I didn't even give it a chance (guess I wasn't ready for it or didn't click onto it then). My brother loved it, I would walk out. Then oneday I sat down and watched one episode of Blackadder the third and I was HOOKED. After viewing them, I thought it was possibly one of the most funny comedy series I had ever viewed and for me it's something I watch more often than most comedies I have to admit.

Rowan Atkinson to my mind is FAR more funny when he's playing the intelligent Edmond Blackadder, than when he's being a fumbling goof or Mr Bean. His sledge hammer wit and poker face get me laughing much more!

Thanks for the recommendation sosick, I have not heard of that band. I don't actually have any real Christian band music! I never heard much of it and when I did, not much of it grabbed me in the respect of the music itself. But again I don't think I've given much of it enough of a chance either.

But, I have one of Gregorian Monks and I have to say I find it absolutely beautiful to listen to. Whenever i hear it, I start thinking of Heavenly things, rather than life around me. Hard to explain, but the heart feels lifted up when hearing it.

I also enjoy Enya, which for me has a sound about it that again lifts me. I get the same with Christmas Carols too (in another way). Some people cannot stand this stuff, but I love it. I used to play carols anytime I felt like it and got told off for it too as a kid. I guess I was ruining it for everybody lol. I need that music, because it's the kind that doesn't ever disturb or wind me up. Rather, it's for the soul.

Hey, you mentioned that movie Ray (about ray charles), my father has a few on Al Jolson. "The Jolson Story" and it's regarded as one of the alltime best musical biographies. The sequel was called "Jolson sings again". His career had an amazing ressurection. I wonder if you've seen those? If not, I would highly recommend them.

Seen em all ages ago... without a paddle still number 1 for laughter. A true original. The only one I have ever wanted to watch 5 times. Ray is good over and over too, the music really does it. That one comes with a second dvd with interviews/takes of Ray Charles helping out on set just before he passed away.

those are probably my two all time favorites of recent movies from the past 3-5 years or so.

My favorite old time time movie is probably 'The Saint'. An espionage film. The Bourne Identity series probably follows that. Bertolucci's '1900' is mind blowing too. Not sure you can get those old ones on dvd

We watch a lot of movies. No random blood and gore though. I hate Stephen King type stuff, too creepy for me, Silence of the Lambs, we don't watch that stuff.

'Luther' was pretty good, tells the story of Luther and the protestant reformation pretty well. A couple hours on the couch well spent.

I almost hope you've never seen them, because I think you'll enjoy them immensely. Sorry to throw more at you, but when you get a bit hard up for more to see? I'd recommend them highly.

I never took to "The Office" when I first saw it on TV and just saw bits and pieces. Only when I sat down and got into it, I got absolutely hooked. I didn't think I would and in the end it's because one of my favourite comedy series. You get used to the characters and enjoying them immensely.

"Best In Show" is for me a brilliant p*ss take! BUT, it does depend on whether you find mocumentaries funny or not. IT's the similar type that the office uses....

"Comic Book presents..", now I am not sure what all that would contain. It sounds like it might be the "famous five" take off by these guys. Which was also good. But I do not know if that includes the "Bad News" ones. I coudln't tell. I did see "Bad news" advertised beneath it with other DVDS, so it is there. I just dont' know if it's included in the box collection.

I personally think some of these comedies are almost essential additions, because there is so much GARBAGE on TV (at least here in NZ there is). It is absolutely appaulling and for someone like me who is not well and does not hit the clubs or go out much, I'd probably go mad if it were not for people who make these movies/series.

By the way, have you seen "Life Of Brian"? . The whole movie was funny from start to finish for me. Though some of it may have been a bit on the nose for us Christians, (crucifixion scene etc), considering the reality of what we believe. But again crucifixion happened in those days to any criminal and of course it was played down for comedy. Black comedy I guess you could call it. This I think is another essential classic (IMHO).

Sunshine, I have a very high recommendation for you. There was a series I used to watch years ago and we still have the VHS recordings of it, but they are ageing badly, but we still try and watch them. It was called "You rang M'Lord" (British). This was, for me, absolutely BRILLIANT. If you have not seen this? I'm sorry to bombard you, but this is another ESSENTIAL to any collection. I'm sure you must have heard of it or seen it.....if you have seen it, I don't know what you think of it. But I adored it, you may not. Everybody is different.

I watch that film Ray Charles last night….cool film.
Watched Mouse Hunt too, I liked it but my daughter is still a bit too young.

Ray Charles is one of the best films I've ever seen.
I watched The wedding crashers and didn't laugh much at all...was worried there is something really wrong with me.
But for some reason I just didn't laugh...
I usually can't stop laughing at films like that,especially love
films with Owen Wilsen & Ben Stiller.
I watched "Old School"it was funny.
I loved meet the parents too
