Which one do you take and how much a day? I am using the Carlson Moly B which has 500 mcg per tablet. I take one a day. It is vegetarian. It is only around 6 cents each tablet. Other brands I have seen are 5-9 cents each, but only have 150-250 mcg of Molybdenum. This web page claims that Molybdenum might help prevent cavities, and is helpful for mouth and gum disorders. http://www.anyvitamins.com/molybdenum-info.htm What is a safe amount of Molybdenum to take each day? That website claims that over 15 mh a day might be a problem. That sounds like a huge amount though. I don't think I would want to take over 1 mg a day. Any thoughts about this? Does it help you?

I take “Molybdenum picolinate” made by Thorne Research. Each cap is 1000ug. I take one cap per day. This quantity and type (i.e. picolinate) is what Cutler recommends. I have no idea what picolinate means. I believe picolinate is an amino acid that means the molybdenum is bound to the picolinate and the supplement is absorbed as an amino acid not as a metal ion. It is said that this increases absorption. I heard a few good things about mega-dose molybdenum. It would be nice if you could post your experience (good or bad) here.

Yea, moly is toxic, if taken in too large amounts. 1 mg per day is the max I would take. I noticed little benefits in going beyond 600 mcg per day, but I suppose this can vary a bit too.
But do observe that there is no magic supplement that only helps if taken in megadoses. At least consider taking other nitrogen helpers along with moly.

I heard a few good things about mega-dose molybdenum. It would be nice if you could post your experience (good or bad) here. Lovely, thanks for that. Well, I don’t notice anything bad when I take molybdendum. I don’t know if I feel better either. Problem is I take so many supplements it hard to tell which does what. I did have it muscle tested 3 months ago and my body reacted very positively to it, so I will continue taking it. Collectively, including everything I do and take…. I continue to heal, I continue to get better….which supplement does what….i don’t know specifically anymore….but I will continue taking all the supplements until I am properly healthy again. Chelation is hard on my body and I will support it as much as I can during this time of rebuilding. My current supplementation (Example1-2-1 = 1 at breakfast, 2 at lunch, 1 at dinner) (Figure after name = total quantity taken per day, figure in brackets is Cutler dose recommendation) 6-0-0 ACE – 300mg in the morning 3-0-0 Vit B5 – 1500mg 1-1-1 Niacinamide –1500mg per day 1 cup liquorice tea in the morning. 1.5-2 tsp himalayan cyrstal salt per day 2-2-1 Kelp – which provides iodine 630ug – 1060 ug per day 1-0-0 Vit D3 – 1000 IU 1-1-0 COQ10 - 300mg (100-400 mg general supplement from AI) 1-0-0 Boron – 2mg (3mg) 1-0-0 Molybdenum – 1,000 mcg (1,000 mcg) 1-0-0 Vit B12 – 100ug (1-12mg) 2-2-2 Vit C – 6 grams (4-12 grams per day. Buffered form is better.) 2 pinch at each meal – Epsom salt (this is instead of magnesium citrate) 1-1-1 Betaine & pepsin 960mg + 20 mg 1-1-1 Vit E 900mg (1000iu) 1-1-1 GTF chromium 180 ug 1-0-0 Multi Vit B large Dosage 2-1-1 Taurin 2000mg (2000mg) 1-1-1 Milk thistle. 1-1-1 Zinc – 45mg per day 1-0-0 Vit D 1,000 iu (1,000iu) DMSA – 6mg every 3 hours for 3 days on round, even waking at night. 4 days off Essiac tea, borage tea, damiana tea - daily 2-2-2 Inbetween herbs: cloves, thyme, cinnamon, sage, ginger Yes....i do rattle in the mornings <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smirk.gif" alt="" />

I would advise against using vit D, because it is immunosuppressive. I have heard some people mention that it helped much with their fibropains, and this points to its immunosuppressivity. It's similar to HC and mercury, giving you a false feeling that everything is ok. Lowering Vit D is specifically a part of the MP (Marshall protocol), whose aim is to mobilize the immune system to kill off the pathogens. It would only be useful to take it if you want to slow down your recovery, and get some relief of the pains, which isn't a bad idea at least in the beginning. http://www.sciencedaily.com/releases/2008/01/080125223302.htmThere are more research papers around demonstrating that vit D is harmful.
