A few days ago the last of the amalgams came out.

I've been especially spaced out and lethargic since, and the muscles in my mid/upper back are complaining - which is what they used to do with my food allergies. It's not unexpected.

Now it's just a case of keeping up with the supplements and hoping that it's a relatively smooth ride.

I have been spaced out, exhausted and achy since my last dental visits. yet I have no amalgams. To even walk into a dental office is to breathe in and absorb quite a substantial amount of mercury vapor. Seeing as amalgams are either being filled or drilled daily.

So I am really feeling it and have done now for the last 2 months. The aching is mainly around my midsection (back area too, like yours). I also feel constriction of breathing in the lungs, some pain sometimes. This I believe is vapor exposure and probably lots of it.

So it is for some, quite a bit to recover from and some do get very ill from any further exposures to mercury vapors in the dental office. either from your own amalgam removal, and/ or breathing in the results of someone else's removal or placement/drilling.

I am taking a powdered base supplement of vitamins and minerals (lab made) which I think is really important, plus selenium, vitamin E, milk thistle, omega 3 fish oils (mercury free) and magnesium and zinc.

I think this is helping me alongside a very strict healthy diet with plenty of protein and animal fats. It still isn't easy, my body is very weakened by virus and infections, so any further toxic exposures are devastating and long term.

One has to cover every angle possible to gain relief and improvements. It all takes time and more time.

Bex, I would seriously recommend that you get a food allergy test done for both immediate and delayed reactions. My muscles were constantly aching until I cut a lot of stuff out - Eggs, wheat, peanuts, dairy...(which the allergy test said were bad for me). These pains only come now when I stuff up and eat something by mistake (which isn't often). My current aches are, I believe at least, due to my body dealing with the stress of mercury.

The order of pain is generally back first, midsection later and (if really bad) between the ribs. Neurophen plus helped, but I wont be taking that for the rest of my life!

I believe that my food sensitivities are to those things which my body has the least ability to deal with. When I was more healthy I had no problems dealing with them, much like most normal people. However when my body crashed it dipped to a point where those 'things' were now a huge stress on a body no longer able to deal.

Just a thought though.

Hi Redman, thanks but I've been down the food allergy road and what I mainly figured out what, the foods that cause the problems are those that are toxic anyway and lower immunity. Thereby increasing your suspeptibility towards just about anything.

I avoid sugars, yeast, gluten/grains, fruit, high carbs (veges) and concentrate on healthy foods. If I slip off my diet, things get even worse. I have particular foods that are all I can cope with. They at least are healthy though and build immunity.

My problems are from the dental visits I've had, not from the foods. They are also from hidden virus/infections which I developed in 2003/2004.

I was recently re-exposed to mercury from being in a dental office, which has caused me aching and pain throughout my body, particularly aching in the kidney area and cramping in the gut. This is not abnormal for someone who is sensitive and unwell by other problems.

I am wary of getting too far into the food allergy thing, some foods create healing reactions too which can be mistaken for allergies, so sometimes it's about finding it out through experimentation. I've taken quite sometime to tweak my diet and this is as far as I'm going. I'm not taking even more foods away from myself, it's already difficult.

The worst culprits are gone (gluten sugar etc). So I concentrate on eating healing foods. If I was as I used to be? I would not need to be this strict, just as you said. Problems though to my mind are often due to candida, which then causes further food sensitivities. Mercury does it also. As does just about anything that compromises immunity.

Hi Bex - I completely understand. Label reading and trying to find foods I can tolerate gets a bit boring from time to time!

Still, I know the alternative and cutting out a lot has meant I can actually work...and stay sane...

Do you do the ibuprofen? Neurophen plus - evil though it is - has helped on a few occasions...I must buy some more actually just on standby. Go the codine!

Hi Redman, yeah it does get annoying. I don't tend to go into packaged foods, so I don't need to read the labels. I'm only eating natural foods like eggs, meat, vegetables, acidophilus yoghurt and almonds....

That's all I eat. I just have to keep the carbs down, sugar out, gluten out, or I get into bigger trouble than I already am.

My diet is limited enough and as time goes on, if I feel something isn't right, I usually give a trial without it and see what happens. Most of the time it's becaues it's feeding candida, rather than any true blue "allergy".

i actually do not tend to have many allergies, rather I just have stuff that feeds the organisms and that's when I go down hill.

It's good that you can work! And it is worth the sacrifice of missing out on those particular foods that cause problems to be able to do that, or have any kind of a life.

I am suffering with other stuff, not allergies. That's why I cannot work. I also believe I 'might still be metal toxic, so that's just adding to it all.

No I don't tend to use those medications you mention. ONly neurophen plus (at a certain time of the month....). But that's all. It's a life saver then! Don't know what I'd do without it at that time. Yeah Bex, it really does make you want to pull your hair out. I remember when I was young - the doctor knew EVERYTHING. They had the answers and we believed and all was good with the world. Now I spend most of my time trying to figure out what is truth and what is just plain wrong.

This is what happens when science is driven by the pursuit of money rather than knowledge.

I agree, and this is why so many of us are trying to "self treat" because we've been disallusioned by doctors/dentists whom we trusted as knowing how to help us.

It's unfortunate that "greed" comes into it so much, so it's very hard to know where to go and what to do. I think the internet is great because so many others have been around the block and can at least make some recommendations that have helped them.

I've had these very same thoughts Red man. When exactly was it that we, as a society, got on the road to hell instead of the path to heaven?

I never imagined I would have to study and fight to regain health when we have a trillion dollar (messed up) health industry that is supposed to do that for us. Funny thing is it can and probably will be fixed when enough people stand up and say "no more!" This could take years, but certain events may speed this up. But in a way, there is a positive side to any seeming negative. If we succeed, look at all the positive things we have learned that can only increase our quality of life.

People believe in what they know to be right. Whether that knowledge is based on the actual reality and truth, it doesn't matter because they know.

You will not convince the majority of people in the failings of the popular health system, because they believe, automatically and without question, in the integrity and medical knowledge of the traditional western medical establishment.

The more people who find help and healing through other methods, for instance through the removal of amalgam and subsequent detoxification of mercury, et al, then the more of the 'majority' of people begin to think. Some will say "placebo effect," but the more people who hear of workmates, relatives, and friends who get better after mercury removal, the more people who will question. It is only when one begins to question than real learning can begin. Unfortunately there are those who will then start to believe in another load of rubbish because, again, they've been told that that is right...some people just cannot be helped...

However, more and more people are wondering about amalgam and mercury. More than before...
