Hmmm, that is very weird. Do you know which of those was responsible Mega? the Vitamin C, magnesium or niacin? Have you thought of trying each individually to check for a response? Because it is a wise idea to take plenty of antioxidants and minerals when you have mercury. Though I know that at first they can definitely cause reactions sometimes, due to increase in detox. I would hazard a guess and think maybe it was the niacin, but I couldn't be certain.
Fantastic though about the cilantro! And you're not taking much else? E.g. no binding agent like algin or anything?
Sittingduck, true if mercury isn't a part of my problems, cilantro may not be effective, but I always think if it's capable of doing that with mercury, it may also have "some" effect on any other toxins or any other metals. Hard to say, but worth another try in my opinion, as it least it doesn't feed yeast as some chelators can do.

hi bex, even if you think mercury isnt your problem anymore, eating cilantro would not do you any harm, after all we breath and eat mercury everyday, and if we are non excreters then its best to get the mercury out on a daily basis even if it was a small amount of cilantro. i eat it even when im chelating its just part of my diet,it has a lovely taste,i put it in baked tomatoes, onion, garlic, then blend it all up, its a dip for veggies or gluten free bread.

Thanks guys. I think I will do that! I do not wish to use ALA again I don't think, it has increased by yeast issues and after a week off it, I am still struggling worse than I was. I didn't think it could get worse, but apparently it can and it has! How? I don't know. Perhaps it was the dose, I took 100 mg every 3 hours. There was little to no reaction, so I'm not convinced any mercury is there, I did this for 4 days. That should be more than enough to provoke a detox if there was anything there. Im hesistant to try it again after my yeast has gotten worse. I do have a big problem with yeast unfortunately, worse than most perhaps.
I hope to include some cilantro and thanks Dawn, I think I'll add it to my onions and tomatoes!!! I would like to get a garlic crusher too and use garlic in there. I cope better when it's stir fried though!

Chelator pesto recipe ideas are here: http://herballure.com/ubbthreads/sh...er=248656&Main=253411#Post248656yummy. 2 times per week for me... Colon cleansing highly highly recommended as well. High enema very effective to flush out toxin debris that could otherwise recirculate, the poor man's hydrotherapy. After a minor setback over the winter from getting constipated after a major dump, I feel marvelous again, better than before the dump I think. feel so good I am adding 100mgs of ALA 2 times per day every now and then too, I can actually handle that by now. I tried it a couple weeks ago and I felt lousy that day but after a couple days I was real good, excellent good so something happening there too. I did it again last evening, feel marvelous this morn. I think my toxin levels are substantially less than this time last year from eating all that cilantro for so long. big difference between regular garlic and organic garlic I've noticed, use organic garlic, raw. You can get a little mini food processor to chop everything for just several dollars at most retail places that sell kitchen stuff. cilantro for life!

If you want to grow cilantro - coriander - you take a whole bunch of seed, about 40-50 seeds, and throw into about a 3 X 3 foot square, mix in and water. one plant won't go very far. I think I eat the leaves of about 10-14 plants per plate of pesto. I just keep lots, LOTS, of it growing all summer. It only makes a few (10-12) decent leaves stalks before it goes to seed, The seed is not good for chelating. Pluck baby plants to space adult plants about 6 inches apart.
Blessed pesto, not magic at all. God giveth, sunflower receiveth.

Just an interesting FYI....
You just reminded me, Niacin causes some peoples liver enzymes to go out balance. It was quite dramatic for me and I avoid Niacin, I don't think it's harmful and it only happens for a few. My Doc prescribed Niacin because it helps with Hg poisoning, unfortunately I happen to be applying for life insurance about the same time. I got refused because my liver enzyme results were way off normal. As soon as I stopped taking the Niacin, they returned to normal. just something to be aware of.
