The etch and bond agent my dentist used is Xeno which contained fluoride. I just dont know what to think about all this. You sort one thing out and then they stick another poison in you! The actual composite itself Admira is great, for the first time in years i feel half human but im really concerned about the flouride bond. Should i ask him to remove it?
Regards
Stuart

If you feel ok with it, you might be wise to stick with it, because no matter what you get, one chemical/metal is always replaced with another. On my serum test form, Xeno shows to be ok with me, yet apparently I am sensitive to flouride....but I am unsure that it's the worst of things and I don't believe it is (if it's minimal).
It really is up to you, because I don't think anybody has the perfect answer for each person. I've had materials that have contained fluoride and I don't know if they made much difference to any other dental material I used.
I know that heliomolar supposedly contains fluoride, yet a biologic dentist in Aussie that I was in touch with uses this as his main composite for patients, because he said it would seem this one was the least reactive (he is also trained in oral toxicology and biocompatibility). In his experience, it seemed to be the most reliable, both mechanically and generally "sensitivity" and biocompatibility wise.
I think it is very hard to sort out which is best for different people. Fluoride is FAR from the only toxin you'll find in these materials. I think it's a case of how much of it is in there, how much of it is going to be released over its lifetime, how sensitive you are to it, how much you are getting overall, immune status, overall toxicity, etc.

Yes Xeno show its fine with me. I had replaced and felt an itching for about a day then it died down and it seems to be fine. Part of me thinks that i should just leave it as there has been a dramatic improvement having just one out. I just hate the thought that ive got flouride being constantly released into my bloodstream. Unless it gets to a point where it just stops. Thanks for the reply. I guess its just something i have to think over.
