On Thursday last week I had what looks to be my last amalgam taken out (Took charcoal, garlic, C, MSM, etc). I had several removed unsafely in the two years prior to the onset of my CFS 5 years ago. I have one crown that the xray cannot see under which may have mercury under. This dentist wasn't IAOMT but he agreed to using the DAM, water/suction, oxygen, etc. It was a very small filling.
I started taking this b-complex called "B-Right" from Jarrow and more than once it made me feel terrific. I had every component of the vitamin complex except Pantethine and PABA so I ordered those. They have helped tremendously. I'm not sure if its one or the other or both together that is helping. The PABA seems to give the adrenals a kick without stressing them. Pantethine is critical for adrenal function. PABA is supposed to have pro-cortisol properties. The first time I took both I had a ton of energy right up until bedtime. I don't feel like it's weakening the adrenals either. It's like this is exactly what they need. I take less so I'm not up all night.
Also I'm taking low dose (5mg) Pregnenolone at bedtime and sleeping wonderfully. I'm talking about 80mcg of Selenium with it. I'm wondering if I have a block converting Cholesterol to Preg?
I've read that:
1. You need thyroid hormone to product Pregnenolone and 2. Pregnenolone is needed for the conversion of T4 -> T3
Sounds like the chicken and egg thing. I've had some results with Preg before but had other weird symptoms. I'm pretty sure I was taking too much. Ray Sahelian recommends no more than 5mg as it is a "powerful hormone"
My symptoms, while just a few weeks ago (while addressing Candida) seemed unbearable are now hardly noticable. I'm almost back.
Anyway I hope this information can help someone else.
cheers

What you mention about being stuck at a point ,like from converting cholesterol to preg. for example is really interesting but how can we find out? and there is so much going on in the body,it's so tricky to know what to try and fix first,or how.
Sunflower, What I've done in the last 3+ years is keep a journal, read a ton and do trials with different supplements. There are a lot of "cycles" in the body that can get blocked (Dr. Yasko is treating autistic children by using supplements to bypass genetic mutation caused blocks in the methylation/detox cycle). The body is incredibly complex and does one hell of a job when it is working right. With the introduction of a pesticide or heavy metal and add some stress and you can get a block. Certain cycles need a substance to move on to the next. If you look at this diagram of the methylation cycle you can see plenty of places where a vitamin, mineral or other substance is needed to keep the process moving: http://www.knowyourgenetics.com/The%20Methylation%20Pathway_files/diagram-1.jpgYou'll see B6, DMG, SAMe, Methionine, B12 in the diagram. All of these you can supplement. If you have a methylation block between Methionine and SAMe you can supplement SAMe. If you feel dramatically better you can bet you have a block. Dr. Yasko has found that different genetic mutations can block enzyme reactions (see colored blocks on the diagram) and prescribes supplements to bypass the blocks. She even does genetic testing first before treatment. I believe this to be a very safe way of "testing". You can pay $20-$100 for a blood test, etc. Or $5-$20 for a supplement. What would be needed is a list of supplements and the blocks they bypass that someone can match up with symptoms. This could help people without them having to go through 100+ supplements like I have. On the up side I have gotten quite an education.

Well I had three very good weeks and was responding well to pregnenolone. Then amaglam out then job change. I'm not sure which contributed more. The chameleon has changed its color again. Now I'm feeling diabetic and getting numb lips.
Anyone get numb lips?
