Aloha from Maui, I'm brand new to Herb Allure and this is my first posting. I will be traveling to the mainland and then to Tijuana to hopefully extract my eight (2 per quadrant) amalgam dental fillings in September. These fillings are over 25 years and I'm anxious to get them out. One problem, can anyone share their experience in Tijuana with me. Most importantly who do you recommend and why? How long do I need to stay to extract eight? What is your story? There are so many options and I want to go to an affordable but professional dentist in Tijuana. My bill in Hawaii will run me approx. $4,000.
Many Thanks, Me-Shell Mijangos

Me-Shell Mijangos, You would have to be very careful and sure before doing that. If they don't take the precautions while removing the mercury you could get very sick.
I would get Biocompatibility Testing done, for sure. If they replace your amalgams with uncompatible material for your body , you would be sick again, and it would mean shelling out more money to have it all redone.
I'd read one person had their amalgams done in Mexico, after a few months he had one of the repaired teeth break, and had to get it fixed in the United States, well with an xray of the broken tooth the dentist showed the man all kinds of mercury underneath the new composite fillings. He'd just spent 2,000 in Mexico, and had to shell out 4,000 in the US to get them fixed the right way. Be very careful getting your amalgams replaced all at once too. Your body can't handle that. My dentist made sure if they done removal of one quadrant on a Monday, they were sure to do the next quadrant of teeth on a different day of the week, something to do with the 7-14-21 day immune cycles. If not done properly you could set off autoimmune diseases.
You also want to make sure your dentist knows exactly what they are doing...Watch out for root canal and cavitation toxins, they can do a lot of damage to your body.
Sometimes you can get your insurance to possible pay for the old fillings to be replaced (if they are cracked or coming out or old) and just pay the difference for the material suitable for you.
Just my 2 cents worth.....

Sorry, I don't have a direct answer to your question, but I hope someone here does. Just another encouragement to find a dentist that takes as many safety precautions as possible. About 50% of the people I speak with who had a conventional dentist remove their fillings have now been diagnosed with a chronic degenerative disease. A lot of people go to Mexico and have good results. Some don't. Seeing that you are definitely an active outdoor person, we don't want to see anything hinder that. I chose a dentist in Clearwater, Florida who did an excellent job. In case you're interested, here is a link to my story... http://herballure.com/mmsAll the best and keep us posted.

Thanks for the comments. I'm hoping someone on this forum has been to an actual dentist in Tijuanna and has had positive results that can refer me. I'm doing my homework but there is so much information to process. If I can narrow down the search to 3 or 4 recommended dentists, then I can begin asking all the necessary safety questions. Thanks again! Russ, is there a place on your forum with dentist recommendations outside the state? Mahalo!

These are the two I'm wondering about Dr. Ezekiel N. Lagos DDS or The American Bio Dental Center...both in Tijuanna.

Thanks and the search is still on. I've googled just about every combination of mercury free dentist, mercury free Tijuanna dentist, Mexican mercury free dentist, etc... etc... and have indeed found a ton of information. However, I'm looking for someone with first-hand experience with a Tijuanna dentist. Russ, do you have a forum for this- "dentist recommendations?" I looked but could not find one.... Mahalo again for your comments and helps.

Oh, well sorry Bex. I wasn't aware.
That post should be removed if it's a made up piece of baloney.
Hardly to anyone's credit to leave it sitting there.

Thank you for organizing all of this...what a great service you are providing to everyone. Not currently, but this may be a good idea. We had planned on having a dental referral service, but didn't have time to complete it. We'll put some thought into it. Thanks.
