Do i just peel it and eat it as it is ?? Does it taste bad ? Is it edible just as it is, ?? I hope so, because if it is, I will start eating it. Hopefully it doesnt taste extremely bad to put me off. I personally havent tasted it so I dont want to rush to assumptions.

Any tips on how to eat it whole and raw.

it is probably better to eat it in salads, you could crush it with a garlic crusher and put it in home made dressing, ie, olive oil, mustard powder, apple cider vinegar, himalayan sea salt, this is just one idea. i have had it blended with water, it tastes vile and it is hot.
I personally cannot eat alot of garlic because it seems to stay with me, people give me funny looks and stand well away, lol.

I already mentioned my technique for eating raw garlic. I eat just one clove(section) of it after a large meal. I cut it into small pieces, chew each one seperately quite well, and swallow it with plenty of water. Another method might be to use a garlic press and press the clove of garlic through it and into a cup of water. Then you could stir it well and just drink it down, following it quickly with a cup of plain water. The important things about eating raw garlic is not to eat too much at once, not to eat it on an empty stomach, to chew it well(or have it well crushed with a garlic presss), and to swallow it with plenty of water. If not, then the garlic could be very irritating to the digestive system.

I agree, best in salads or in some other dish, raw, uncooked. you'll digest it better when it's mixed in with other stuff too.

To avoid smelling like garlic if you eat whole bunches of it, be sure to take a shower a 2-3 hours after eating.

My granfather once told me a story of a woman when he was younger who he saw would eat the garlic cloves whole after they were peeled, like a packet of crisps. Lol.

Kyolic Fermented Garlic extract has a lot more benefits than regular garlic powder without the harshness and smell of raw fresh garlic. They have the studies to back it up as well, including its anti-candida properties. Its still very powerful and I prefer the liquid extract.

Raw Onion is really good for the kidneys too...and its a little more tolerable.

The antimicrobial properties of garlic are present in fresh raw garlic. Cooking it or processing it will destroy much of this. Aged garlic products are probably good for lowering high blood pressure or other uses, but not for fighting infections.

The allicin in raw garlic is what gives it its odor, and what gives it its antimicrobial properties.

Cut or crushed garlic starts losing its potency rather quickly, so if you cut it into a salad then cut it into the salad just before eating it.

A garlic press doesn't have to be elaborate or expensive. There are basic ones available at local housewares stores for under $5.

Raw onion is much less potent against infections than garlic. It has some of the antimicrobial substances that garlic has, but in much lower proportions. Eating raw onion is okay, but it isn't a good substitute for garlic for medicinal use.

I wasn't claiming onion to be a replacement for raw garlic...just saying it has a lot of benefits too and it tastes a lot better IMO. Red onions always have a lot more of that sulfur bite from my experience.

Kyolic Fermented Garlic Extract still claims to be able to control Candida, even if its not as strong as fresh garlic. It has certain stable sulfur compounds due to the fermentation that are much milder but still very healthy and more beneficial than just dried garlic.

My Grandpap used to crush garlic and drink it in some milk if he felt like he was getting a cold, and it would prevent the cold. He also liked to drink raw egg yolks in his milk and he was very strong. It was Lithuanian folk medicine I believe.

Do you have to chew the garlic? I swallow it whole - cut the clove in several pieces and swallow with tons of water. The only problem as you are probably aware - I smell like an Italian hoagie 24/7. Also this may be too much info but does your BMs smell like garlic too? Is it the sulfur that makes it seem like there's a chemical reaction going on during a BM? Okay - I'll probably be flagged from this message board now because I'm getting too graphic - I'm sorry I'll go now (hehe).

Garlic really needs to be chewed well or crushed well with a garlic press to be effective. Swallowing large chunks of it may not be that effective, and even worse, it might greatly irritate your digestive system.
