I was trying to get pregnant when I felt a little better and first got married. I never did get pregnant ever after 6 artificial inseminations and 2 rounds of IVF - embroyoes always stopped dividing even though his sperm was okay and my eggs were viable. Now I know it was probably due to mercury. Anyone else have problems? Anyone get pregnant after amalgams were out?

Andy Cutler advised me to chelate for a while before trying. I did get pregnant, but lost it. I was 41, though. Had my youngest at 31. Lost the heart to try after that.

I'm sorry to hear that. I will definetly chelate for a year or 2 before trying again - I am 33 so I still have some time left. Before I always wanted a baby even as sick as I was, then my priority switched to getting healthy. Now I know that in order to have a baby I must first have a healthy body. I have learned so much about myself and my body in this journey that only now I can give a baby so much more than what I had before. Again I say - my timing is never right, but God's is. My time will come. My mom always said I was a patient person.

I have three children, but after my first child, I had a miscarriage and no success getting pregnant for a year. I have pulled my old records. I had an amalgam replaced with composite (unsafely) during that pregnancy and miscarried two weeks later. I had numerous symptoms during that year which I now know were mercury related - major, major candida issues. I went on to have two more children, but had a dental visit during my third pregnancy - I am not sure what I had done - but the following months I had numerous symptoms - cardiovascular, digestive (which again I now easily recognize as my mercury symptoms) and I was very sick after the baby was born. We did try for a fourth, but had no success and stopped trying at some point because I was too sick. At that point everything went wrong and I was chronically ill - severe candida - chronic fatigue, constant pain, muscle twitching, heart palpitations, visual disturbances, chronic infections, developed a blood disorder. Finally, a great doctor diagnosed the mercury, and I had my amalgams out one year ago and am doing absolutely great again. I believe my infertility was candida related.

Mercuryfreeme,
I think you are right with that! I too had trouble conceiving. I had lots of uterine tumors, and couldn't get pregnant for 6 years. I didn't know it was the amalgams. I took herbs that helped me get pregnant. Now I know that Mercury causes those tumors and hormonal imbalances by muking up my thyroid and adrenal glands. I'd read one lady's story that said, she tried everything....in vetro etc... The doctors had run out of everything they knew for her. She had her amalgams removed (someone told her that could be it) and with in 3 months was pregnant after 7 years of trying. (I would wait a year after removal though, to make sure the baby will not get any of the mercury when your body dumps it).
I had my amalgams in when I conceived both of my girls, one has acid reflux really bad.
So yep... It caused problems for me... Problems that were puzzling to the fertility specialist.
Since my removal 3 months ago my monthly has changed this month. My schedule changed this month and bleeding heavy, but no pain in my back and no cramping. I think my hormones are getting regulated, not really sure, but I do know there is a change. I'm hoping it's a good sign.... I sure feel better these days...

Yes, I too had major menstrual irregularities - completely irregular periods, severe pain beginning about 4 to 5 days before my period, clotting, chronic infections, chronic vaginal pain/burning - all of the symptoms gradually improved every month since removal last year, periods became completely regular again - and the last three months finally the infections stopped, the pain is gone, and my period takes me by surprise because I had absolutely no pain prior, no more clotting. I suspect I might even be able to get pregnant again - now I'm 38 and not sure if I want to. I think it is a combination of hormones normalizing and finally kicking the chronic yeast infection. I would take the time to detox if I were you though - my youngest does have digestive issues/allergies, minor attention issues in school, night sweats - I had him tested and yes, he was highly elevated for mercury. He is doing much better on candida diet/probiotics. We see a DAN doctor next month. My oldest has minor attention issues and allergies. I am taking him too. I would want to be symptom free for several months before trying because you don't want to see your baby struggle with allergies and special diets or worse. I think you are on the right track and will have the best chance of having a baby. I wish you luck.
