For those who have already tried everything, and then some . . . Me, I'm still working on balancing meds for adrenals and thyroid. I came across this though and hadn't realised it existed, let alone that it's growing in popularity. Spirit release is a secular therapy which removes energies or entities which are causing suffering, sometimes unbeknown to the sufferer. I contacted a psychic recently, for the first time in my life; I looked hard to find someone reputable. She checked for a spirit attachment (I'd never heard of this) and said I didn't have one. Curious, I began to do some more research. For anyone who is interested, this seems like a good website, and this page lists some of the symptoms of the problem: http://www.spiritual-healing.biz/spirit_crossover.htmlAfter being ill for over 4 years, I'm not as skeptical as I used to be, LOL. I'm happy about that too.

Hi Linda, I have not heard of Spirit release therapy before, but it does sound interesting. What I have heard of a lot lately is Bio Energy Healing. It is more focused on the body's energy and being "healed" by the energy of one of Dr. Zdenko Domancic's trained healers flow of energy through their hands unto a person. It's quite interesting as well. Many people have been healed at their hands. I will paste a link below called "Think About It". It explores an innovative solution for healthcare by introducing and examining the effects, results and the future of bioenergy healing. Although bioenergy still cannot be defined, this film demystifies the “miracle” of energy healing, showing that curing a serious illness, can be an innate ability which lies dormant in each one of us. THINK ABOUT IT, counterbalances this seemingly esoteric subject with a thoughtful, straight forward treatment of real-life experiences and impressions of patients, cutting edge scientists, medical doctors, bioenergy students and the renowned healer, Zdenko Domancic Filled with insight about a new and unusual way of perceiving and understanding healing, "Think About It" the viewer to contemplate and reassess their own beliefs about health and medicine. It's quite interesting to watch if anyone is interested. http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-153936213309506589angelbaby26

Angelbaby, I agree with you as regards energy healing. I looked into this for myself, read some things from more scientific angles such as Bruce Lipton's work. I did a course in something called PSYCH-K, which is supposed to use energy and kinesiology to reprogramme your subconscious. That can heal illnessess too, which are psychosomatic. (Well, all illnesses are, to some extent.) Unfortunately, for me, that joined the litany of things I've tried that didn't help.
I was just never aware that spirit attachment could happen. I used to be more open-minded to these things when I was younger, meditated a lot, had a friend who was a psychic. I think there's a lot we, in our arrogance, don't know about the world. I think spirit attachment could be one, and I was surprised to see the list of symptoms. Of course many of those things could have alternative causes, but how many people are there who perhaps are suffering purely because of something spiritual or psychic? The whole Western world has largely dismissed this as nonsense, as another poster here has attested -- but what if that means we have in effect dismissed a whole important part of existence?
Sunshine, nice to see you here. I haven't posted on this forum in ages, you still found me! You saw a psychic too did you? There are charlatans out there but many of them are also for real, without a doubt. I'm reading a book right now that was recommended to me, Spirit Release by Sue Allen. Some pretty "out there" stuff -- my mind maybe needs opening a little further, not sure. I'll be trying some of the exercises she suggests.
For those who have tried many other avenues to getting well and nothing seems to work, I can't see that this would do any harm, and it could possibly help. If nothing else, a psychic, being psychic, might be able to suggest a way forward. The one I spoke to (Becky Walsh) told me I'm on the cusp of getting better and should be concentrating on what I'll be doing after, when I've got more energy than I know what to do with. O happy day, LOL.

O happy day, LOL. LL, I think our minds and spirits affect our health greatly.... I haven't looked into the spirit attachment issue, but with regards to the energy work I believe that can have some affect. I use to go to a gifted chiropractor who was very talented in lots of areas and she did craniosacral therapy on me. She was unbelievable. I would cry while she worked on me and it stirred up all sorts of memories. It was in AK that my rape resurfaced and with her it brought feelings to the surface regarding that period. I have experienced with her at least twice when she would be dealing with energies and my tailbone would literally sit and vibrate. (I had a tailbone injury along with my lower back injury in 1991). Her hands would get beet red and HOT while working with me. The energy that was transferring was visible. I agree - I think there is a lot beyond our understanding that is going on and people have tuned in to some of it within certain areas. I read a book while in AK, too, (I've heard that great progress can be made for some up there because of being close to the magnetic north) called "Buried Feelings Never Die." I had a friend who introduced me to it. She and I were both into natural healing and had similar backgrounds. Just that was a breakthrough for me.

I'd like to experience something as profound as that. I've been opened as a Reiki channeller but haven't done much in that area. I can feel things subtly. I learned tai chi but couldn't continue with it when I got ill. When I am better I will find out if the evening group I used to go to is still meeting.
I feel there's a lot to learn and it's not cut-and-dried like the evolutionary science we've been discussing. People have much more subjective experiences. This is actually a realm that science has barely touched and many scientists are skeptical of its very existence, at least outwardly. I'm excited about the time I'm well because there will just be so many possibilities open to me. I'm doing what I can at the moment, trying some things I've read in books such as opening chakras. There will be precious little time for this in the coming weeks though because my job will keep me so busy. I've liked having a week off work, makes me wish for the time when I didn't work at all LOL.

There will be precious little time for this in the coming weeks though because my job will keep me so busy. I've liked having a week off work, makes me wish for the time when I didn't work at all LOL. My first medical job was working for a naturopath and her D.O. husband. He was bad at it, but she was amazing. (They used applied kiniseology (sp?) which was done through muscle testing then). I learned how to do it too, (muscle testing) but never got it down cause I didn't practice it. There is a lot to being subjective with that, too. Dr. Seeman use to "find" that people needed to buy lots and lots of his supplements he happened to sell, LOL. Now, they have these electronic things that actually pick up energy levels physically which works the same way so it doesn't have to be such a skill and it is (and seems) more scientific. I guess the point is I started out aware of some of that stuff - but most around me have been skeptical even though I saw it in action and most importantly felt it. It was great, though. They use to be able to tell me exactly what my body needed, what it was deficient in, when I needed to cleanse and what to use to cleanse. Of course it had to be within the scope of whatever they knew of to test or within the energy meridians. I was leery of getting my daughter's ear rings pierced because there is a meridian that runs through the ears that it interferes with. (Although mine are). I still remember the points to rub if I feel sluggish (which meant my energies were running backwards? something like that) and they are sore sometimes like now. I had a brownie for breakfast : ) Heaven help me through the holidays. I just dropped a bunch of weight cutting out sugar but I fear I will put at least some back on with the holidays. We also have an anniversary soon and 2 birthdays between Halloween (which I don't really do anything about although our neighbor sure does - they have a ship the heighth of their house built onto the side with a Pirates of the Carribean theme - the guy use to work for Disney - its a veritable spook walk) and Thanksgiving. I felt so sick, though..... I had a stomach virus this past week so that was really really dumb. We accidentally bought them last night. They must've been the person's before or after ours. The check out lady always talks to us about her son who just got back from Iraq, and must've spaced it. I wanted to take them back from John tore in to them : ) I'm gonna take the other box back. Maybe some of us ought to share some healty versions of what we make for Thanksgiving, Christmas, etc. I have a few I use..... (Sorry - O.T. again). Anyway - I've also asked people who knew a little at Herb Shops to test me before if I wasn't sure I needed to take something. Its pretty handy if you know how to use it.... Not sure if you're talking about exactly the same thing - but its all related I think. My brain is fuzzy lately.... I am not thrilled to be working lately either cause I haven't felt good. I can't do it and keep up with everything else and sometimes I long for days of having only the house to worry about. However, I'm soon to have an empty nest - after Erica graduates at least, so its best I stay busy. I heard a CD she had in the cd player in the car the other morning and I went into mourning thinking about it. It is HARD. And my husband and I have to get used to being just us again, too. Either way - we're both kind of independent and need lives outside just each other. He told me years ago to "get a life" when we first got married and I was overly dependent on him for my social needs so I delved into home schooling or whatever I felt the need to do. He doesn't like it when I'm not there at his beckon call, but you can't have it both ways now can you? : )
