Hi there all.

Ive just had my white fillings replaced with what i thought was biocompatible materials. Truth is im feeling far worse. My teeth ache all the time and all extremely sensitive to temporature. My gums have also receded somewhat..eating is a real issue.

I cant really have them replaced again as im worried about permanantly damaging them. I know im full of toxins and im just hoping that this will go away because living like this would be as bad as having the mercury. Has anyone else had this problem?

Do you know what the materials are? Just out of curiosity. Did you get tested for biocompatibility? And yes I have definitely heard about this happening. It's not uncommon by any means.

The shock/trauma to the tooth from all the drilling, plus the replacement of composites can cause them to ache for sometime afterwards and become sensitive yes.

First of all, I would make sure they are level and you're not putting up with ones that are a bit high or something. So if they need some adjustment by being levelled, I would get that done. Check with the dentist.

Aside from that? It can be sadly a matter of time. For some it maybe months of sensitivity and some pain before things begin to subside.

A few people have most definitely complained about this - but it appears that things have subsided. one person I know used to be on here and spoke about it. She is finding things returning to normal now. But she was in pain for months. I mean MONTHS. I was very upset for her.

And now it seems sadly you are getting similar. Again, please check with your dentist and make sure your bite is even.

Thanks Bex i really appreciate your encouraging words. Yes i was tested for biocompatibility by blood tests and he said those ones were fine. Thing is im always fine until they start bonding the tooth, thats when all the crap starts happening. The materials were

Optibond Solo

No problem.

Well, I checked on my serum blood test form and I can't see the Kerr Premise, but can see the Optibond Solo and I tested fine with that one. Both materials appear to be from the same company "Kerr Corporation". As I can see another "Kerr" one there and it's from that corporation. I showed to be ok with that also. Not that my suitability means much, as everybody is different.

I know a dentist who used optibond and he's also studied in oral toxicology and only uses materials that have tested fine in most patients. So he uses only a few and optibond was one of the bonding agents he used.

See what the dentist says about this post reaction you're having. He may wish to check that the teeth have an even bite, just in case anything is off. But I would inform him of your concerns.

I feel that personally it's post trauma - composites are harder to remove I think than amalgam. So it's highly likely you've really been hit hard. Composites tend to be sensitive, especially when first placed. But couple that with the drilling. The teeth do take a bit of a pounding, nerves and all.

I have also seen a few on the curezone forums complain of the post pain and sensitivity.

Have you been active in detoxing the mercury from past amalgam?

Yes ive been detoxing mercury post amalgam however i think it was the vaccine that truly tipped me over. My spine became swollen i was a real mess. I still am.

I have an appt with the dentist monday morning. He is a nice guy but will be extremely concerned if i asked him to start changing things now and drilling again. Thing is i felt kinda fine until he started putting the bond on top of the composite and i think i might have a problem with the adhesives.

Whats actually happened now i few days have past is that my gums have swollen up and receded exposing all the teeth hes worked out. Im having trouble breathing too which is the biggest concern. ive hardly slept because my body is fighting this new allergen. I have a huge grinning joker face because of the swelling!

He still has to do one more monday so i might ask him if he could simply drill out the smallest filling he did and use a different adhesive. I wish i really wouldnt have had my amalgams out.
