I would be hesitant to try something as far as Chelators go without FURTHER studying to make sure it's been proven safe as I would not want to mess myself up further. I stumbled across this and it looked too good to be true, maybe not? http://www.cocoonnutrition.org/catalog/page_mercury_magnet.php

hard to say it works like algin i believe but cannot chelate from the brain/organ/tissues.... Maybe maybe not, but it would be worth a try if I start to get better from the minerals and Algin I am taking right now. I might give it a go sometime after the holidays.

the problem is that it does not enter the bloodstream so i don't see how it can chelate from tissue/organs. You are talking Algin right? This oak bark stuff and Zinc they use for the Magnet doesn't enter the bloodstream? I thought it cleared your brain of Mercury? Where does it say this doesn't enter the blood stream? I must have passed it up, but yes it is impossible to clear out Mercury in your tissues and organs without that, thats why Algin will not enter or chelate your body of Mercury, it just catches what you eat or what circulates correct? I can see how it would be very helpful if you are taking a chelator so it won't redistribute in your body again, but yes Algin alone is not enough. I am talking about the Magnet, I have to read more about it.

^ Russ got better using Algin and it helped with the effects of Mercury as well, I guess thats enough. If you use Chlorealla like Russ did to detox then you might need Algin as well James! It catches what passes through and then takes it out correct? No reabsorbtion? Thats what it appears. I don't use Just Algin either, I use Kombu which is the Kelp plant, it has nutrients within itselt and is not even 50% alginates, so therefore it's not just called Algin and has more health benefits. I know Algin can take away some nutrients and so on when they pass through, that always concerned me and I didn't use it often because of that. I have to look into ALA more to see about it, but as far as the Kelp goes it helps me out and I feel better regardless of what is making me feel better (The organic Iodine or minerals in it possibly?). Thanks for you post though, you seem to know a whole lot and do your research.

Very interesting.... I have some stuff, just a single herb, that the guy who made what is now, Nature's Herbs formulas (Dr. Christopher) had on his website. I'm going to have to find that. Haven't found out any information on it but he knew about it decades ago. Bugleweed! That's what it was.... However, just googled it and its now used for hyperthyroidism...lung issues...pain and sedation but its not to be used by people with hypothyroidism as it lowers TSH. Guess I can't use it. I bought a bulk bag of it a long time ago. Anyone on here have graves disease? Anyway, Sean, I want to know what you find out. That is disappointing about algin. I have used Modifilan as a super seaweed.

Thats part of the Kelp seaweed, doubt it seriously would stop you from absorbing minerals when the seaweed is chalk full of them! Did you get any results from it? I just started a week ago and thought I should pick up the dose, I am currently on three a day and handle is very well. I have to look up more about Oak Bark or the Mercury Magnet as they call it and see what it is about. I want to see some talk about it online before I even consider it.
