Late or missed chelation dose

Does anyone have a scientific explanation for why Cutler says to stop a round if this happens? Why would a person not simply be able to take the next dose on time and get back on track?
I ask because it's happening to me today. My alarm didn't go off last night for that particular dose and I took it 6 hours after my bedtime dose. I then went back to sleep and carried on dosing as usual.
I'm not feeling very good though -- after two days of feeling fantastic! -- I'm tired, run-down, and my stomach is churning, all of which tend to be mercury symptoms for me. I'd like to persevere and hope these fade away but I don't really understand what's happening. I didn't want to take a chelation break yet, I'd just started feeling better!
Any help?

Jammes Recommends: Try Cutler Chelation.
if you are hg toxic try DMSA. If that doesn't do it try ALA. If that still doesn't do it you are not toxic or there is a hidden source of exposure.
moderate poisoning: 50 Rounds ALA severe poisoning: 80-150 Rounds ALA

Well I'm not stopping. I just wondered if anyone knew what actually happens. I know that the mercury starts to redistribute; what I don't understand is why simply taking the next scheduled chelator dose doesn't put a stop to it and allow you to carry on from where you were.

I was wondering something about this, and it would explain things. Seeing as how I've carried on as usual today, I'll see how things pan out. It would have been best if I'd stopped but I wanted to dig my heels in because -- you know how it is -- you start feeling better after all that time, you don't want to put an end to it. I have to remember that if I've felt like that twice now, I'll feel like that again. Flippin' alarm clock (dawn simulator actually) has been troublesome lately. They're expensive to replace but it might be a good idea to do so.
Thanks!

I know how that feels Linda, I did the same thing a few times. But I warn you, it can hurt and hurt bad. I had one episode where I missed a dose of DMSA. I took it late, I think about 2 hours late. BAD move. One hour you maybe able to get away with.
Well, I redistributed toxins/metals into the gut. So bad, that I was in a lot of pain and distress and could not improve. I was unable to chelate after that, until I went on a candida diet and reduced the massive amount of candida that must have flourished upon the redistribution of toxins into the gut.
Awful! And that's not counting the other possible effects that can occur. Very bad!
Take it safe and steady! If you hurt yourself by redistribution, then you won't be doing much at all. If you keep being patience and chelate safely, you'll likely progress much better, smoother and not hurt yourself and need recovery time because of doing the wrong thing.
It is worth being careful. I'd hate to see you get hurt by backfire. It's nasty and can be long term effects too.

JK, I had subtle, yet adverse reactions to various supplements that would make sleep very difficult for me. Once I stopped taking these, I would fall asleep so much easier. This is going to be different for everyone but the things which effected my sleep were: Betaine, Milk Thistle, Methylcobalamin, turmeric, and to a lesser extent, selenium and iodine.
Many of these supplements didn't affect me adversely in the daytime, yet had very noticeable effects (individually) on my sleep patterns. Once I stopped them I could sleep so much better, and if I introduced any one of them I would have a hard time sleeping, specifically falling asleep after waking up around 1-2am.

Interesting. When i was more toxic, methylcobalamin and selenium caused me to have insomnia...

Thanks to everyone for the posts. I've gradually been feeling better throughout the day so it looks like I'll survive, but from now on I will regard a late chelation dose as A Serious Thing. I take it that the redistribution this causes, followed by a late dose, is worse than the inevitable end-of-round redistribution?
It's interesting how symptoms come and go. I've had a foggy brain for weeks now and it's making it difficult to do this Friday course I've started. I need to remember things I've read and heard and they seem to go through me like a sieve sometimes. But my diet, with which I'm still struggling, is probably part of that. I can tell you this: visits to gourmet chocolate shops are a BAD idea for recovering chocoholics.

here's a guesser: how do u go about with chelation if u keep missing doses because of dementia, that u cant get rid of unless u chelate, and even u have alarms set the whole day to remind u, u either:
a) still woke up barely aware dring the night and just turn the clock off and go to bed again (without taking the dose) b) u forget things like plugging ur phone to charge the battery and it gies dead andu miss the dose again or c) u dont rememer whether u actuallt taken or not the previous dose, though u keep counting the doses to see if everhtinh matches, but then again u are not sure how many doses there are in the first place? d) u forget stuff like buy the drinking water or supplements at the drugstore, and they ran out during the roundlike lets say at night, esp the water wiothout whcih u cant go about (and u cant drink the tap sh* cant u?)so u ahev to stop the round
again, ebcause of memory.
and atcually almost eevery second roud gets sscrewed up like this, but u really cant go forwoard if u get ahead of ur dementia unless u chelate, but again, accroding to rules u should stop and ty again. YET th mistakes hapen again, so wat u do? u keep chelating. But, should u?Oh no u shouldnt, u should stop and do it again RIGHT. But if u keep stpping u get more amount of shorter rounds, thus more redistribution still, same as when u continue a missed dose.
fun eh?

oh but what do u do, when u wake upduring the night and arenot so aware to rememer tyo atke the dose and u go to sleep after swtthcn of the phone clock? The clock has to be away from your bed. Otherwise it won't work. When i was very toxic, sometimes i would stay up the whole night so i would not miss a dose and ask somebody to wake me up during the day when i was sleeping and make sure i was taking my dose. You have to be creative: use time switches, different clocks, get help from friends, parents, relatives etc...
