My husband has several fillings replaced and two root canalled teeth pulled a year ago by a Huggins trained dentist. He is still having problems with fatigue, depression and brain fog. He is taking Algin, but hasn't been able to chelate because it intensifies his symptoms. Does anyone have any suggestions ?

Maybe he could look at his diet? Cutting out milk/dairy products may help, or gluten - both of which can slow down/block excretion of mercury.

Or, if he is still eating fish, to cut it out as seafood can be high in mercury.
Also, check the contents of any supplements such as vit c for nasties like aspartame.
Also, you could monitor response to citrus. Some mercury toxic people have a problem with it. Pumpkin seeds might be another one or high sulpher foods. You could try non-citrus vit c or fruits. Also soya and aluminium exposure might be something to watch.
Any of these could be a problem (unlikely all) so trial and error might fnd the offender in hamperng the healng process.
You probably know all this anyway, but just incase you don't...

Thank you for all of your suggestions !
He watchs his diet fairly well. No dairy, gluten, fish, citrus, or sulfur foods.
For chelation he tried DMSA 25mg every 4 hours.
He is going back to the dentist next week to see if he has any cavitations. He isn't experiencing any pain, so we weren't sure it that's a possibility.
Does anyone have any suggestions for depression / suicidal thoughts ?
Thank you !

Your husband sounds like he has low levels of magnesium. All mercury toxic people are to some degree because hg interfers with mg absorbtion and you also need more mg when detoxing and if he used DMSA that also binds to mg.
suggested amounts are 600-800mg per day in divided doses. Bedtime is your lowest point and then in the morning.
I also had slow recovery progress, but at 13 months I started to see things improve. I'm 19 months post removal now and much much better. Try not to get discouraged.

Hi i'm no expert on this but if he is feeling bad,it probably means mercury is still bound up inside the body, you probably need to do more chelation and treat symptoms/side effects you describe. This in fo was from me reading cutlers book, you're not going o be healed from a round of dmsa,as his thyroid, hypothalmus, and other functions and/or organs are still poisoned.

Make sure he's not eating any sugars. It feeds candida yeast and mercury and candida go together and worsen the condition.. Especially if he has cavitations as well. He will need to keep the bacteria level of his body under control by diet as much as he's able and to take a lot of vitamin C, vitamin E, zinc, magnesium and B complex if he can tolerate these things.
I'd suggest buying Andy Cutlers book "amalgam illness diagnosis and treatment". You'll find it online, possibly on amazon.
In the book, he goes through all the symptoms and gives allsorts of suggestsions for depression, and other symptoms. He also mentions cavitations and that if a person has them, they will most likely not be able to heal from mercury toxicity. Sad but true.
He said that a person with cavitations will not heal from amalgam removal alone.
cavitations most of the time do not produce pain or swelling, they are insidious, invisible and simply cause continual potent toxicity from bacteria, worse even than mercury.

Hi Dawn, I read that pumpkin seeds mobilize mercury. I fried some one night and wasn't well the next day, so I did some research on the internet and found that they can move mercury about. This might be good to detox, but obviously anything that moves mercury can cause problems aswell. So, to be on the safe side I'm not eating them at the moment. Incidentally, they are also anti-parasitical, which is another good thing about them. Walnuts are a good source of omega 3 (for those who can tolerate nuts), so I am trying to eat more of them. They are very soft, which helps Demi, could you tell me about the pumpkin seeds, i have been having them lately, im feeling bad as usual but i dont want to aggrevate things, Thanks.

Thanks for the info. The reason i was eating them was for the parasites but they made me feel really rough.
