Like many of you, I've had terrible health problems and never suspected my fillings. I had my last one removed this week and am now on the road to recovery. I've made significant progress on my own, but it's a great relief to find a site like this. My nephew (now 3 years) was born with very swollen feet (lymph problems) and it seems to be a big mystery to all the doctors. He was my sister's second child, (only a year after the first) and she has a mouth full of amalgam and many similar auto-immune problems to mine(inlcuding chronic candida symptoms). She also lived under high tension lines and worked in front of a CRT screen during her pregnancy. And her fillings have been deteriorating rapidly since the pregnancy and her symptoms have been getting worse. Obviously I suspect mercury may be a factor in the lymph thing with my nephew. We hope to get my sister's fillings out as soon as possible, but I feel we need to act now with my nephew to prevent any further damage.
We are both novices at this and are seeking some advice on how to approach a plan for recovery for the three of us.
What is the best approach to determining if my nephews problems are due to mercury in his tissues?
Has anyone else encountered the swollen lymph ducts or glands or nodes in the feet due to similar circumstances?
If so what has been your experience concerning diagnosis and treatment?
Obviously we don't even want to bring this up with our doctors and jeapordize our current relationship, so should we seek a second opinion from a holistic doctor?
I'm comfortable with the progress I'm making on my own, but I don't want to drag my sister and nephew through uncharted territory and possibly make things worse.

Great to hear that you're on the way to recovery and have found the problem. Unfortunately, I have found the problem in many people and family members but the difficult part is getting them to believe it, especially when their doctors don't believe it. Amazing and frustrating!

It's good that you're seeking advice as this can be a dangerous area to tread without knowledge and experience.

Obviously, the first and best solution is to find a doctor who has experience and training in mercury toxicity and proceed from there. The second best solution is to find a source of solid information that will help you and your current doctor guide you along, and fortunately, I have found it.

It's a book called, Amalgam Illness: Diagnosis and Treatment. This is absolutely the best book I found on the subject anywhere. It was written by a doctor who had amalgam illness himself and cares about getting this information out to others.

I'm not recommending this book because my company sells it. My company sells it because it's the best book on the subject I've found anywhere. It's also one of the ulgiest books I've ever seen but Dr. Cutler is intent on keeping it the same. I even asked him in a phone conversation to update the layout and design and even offered to help (after all, we are a publishing company) but he said he wants to keep it just the way it is.

Anyway, the important thing is that it contains easy-to-read and complete information on diagnosing and recovering from amaglam illness. Cutler even recommends giving a copy to your doctor while he's helping you for his own reference. It really is that thorough.

I truly wish you the best in your journey and would like to ask you to share your story at some future time if you wish. The details about your experience will not only help others believe there is a problem with amalgam fillings (even though all the major health organizations still deny it, including the ADA!) but many will relate to your experience and be convinced to look further to see if it is the cause of their problems. Like I said, convincing people to even consider mercury as the source of their illness is by far the most difficult step.

This is not simple. For example, a hair analysis alone will often (usually) turn up low mercury levels during stage 2 mercury poisoning even when mercury levels are high in certain body tissues. This is because of the way the body quickly filters mercury out of the blood stream. During stage 3, the body is no longer able to filter the mercury and it starts to "spill over" into the blood. At this time, hair-mercury levels will usually show a marked increase. Of course, by this time, you're usually already very sick.

You have to use a combination of tests and know how to read the results. The Amaglam Illness book expains this thoroughly. It's too complicated to explain here.

Wow! I can see I had plenty to learn. Russ, you are right. What an incredible book, cutler nails it alright! I'll be back for a few more real soon, as I won't let it out of my sight yet.
I think cutler's intellect is only surpassed by his bravery.
I found the psychological information as practical as the phsyiological information, both first rate.

Although my recent experience has been with amalgams, my mother had worked for a medical instrument manufacturer filling thermometers(till she got severely ill) before I was born. Now I feel I can understand my whole health history more clearly, just simply by learning the body's organs reactions to mercury and much of what seemed to be random events to me at the time all now seem to fall into place neatly. And I never suspected. Wow!

I am just glad to have a second (actually now my third) chance at claiming some happy life and peace of mind, and truly hope that one day the truth will come out, and Cutler will get a nobel prize, and Pauling will get his third. These are the true visionaries of our era and their accomplishments should be heralded!

You'd be surprised at how many people contact me after reading my story and say they can see themselves exactly and have finally found hope. Also, I'm really glad you like the book. For me, it's one of those books I can't put down. Of course, I love to research and it's a great resource indeed. Cutler did an excellent job making the information readable even though it's so deep and technical.

She believes that aluminum?which is present in large amounts in many vaccines?causes some similar effects as mercury. Of course, in my research, I've found that fluoridated water is also a health hazard. Of course, people have been so indoctrinated into believing that fluoride is good for teeth that they have a hard time believing anything different.

Yes you can definitely use my comments, and I'll be glad to share my story once I completely understand it more myself.
I also have a history of aluminum exposure which started when I had a summer job at an aluminum extrusion/anodization factory (the same summer my chronic cluster headaches started, mmmmhhhh......) so I'm not suprised at the synergy involved with other metals.

Yep. Aluminum is another big problem. I do believe mercury and aluminum work together for the worse.
