Not sure why, though i have Tinnitus and i have tried everthing. It does effect the liver and kidneys that's what i've been told. I will be doing more research on removing my silver fillings tomorrow and make a good choice on who to go and get this over with.

I have a theory.
I believe mercury can act like an excitotoxin when it enters a nerve cell, causing them to fire without proper signaling.
Mercury, in its elemental state, cannot pass through cells walls, but when combined with certain things, can easily pass through cell walls.
One of the things that enables mercury to pass through cell walls is caffeine. For this reason, I am not surprised to find that many people control their tinnitus (ringing in the ears) by stopping all intake of caffeine. IMPORTANT: If you take in even a small amount of caffeine, it will allow the tinnitus to continue. You must stop ALL caffeine and, in most cases I've been familiar with, the tinnitus has stopped or decreased 80% to 90%.
Hope this helps someone.

Ringing of the ears(tinnitis) is often caused by a magnesium deficiency. It might also be caused by a deficiency of another mineral such as zinc, or by a vitamin B12 deficiency.Mercury may cause an overgrowth of candida, which may lead to malabsorbtion of minerals and vitamin B12 even if you are ingesting enough. You could try taking supplements of magnesium and zinc together with vitamin c, using a sublingual B12 supplement (dissolves under the tongue for better absorbtion) ,and if you are having trouble with candida, try taking steps to bring it under control.

The very day after a hack dentist prepped an amalgam filled molar in my mouth for a crown, I not only had an extremely stiff neck, but an extremely high pitched (loud, strong, constant no matter where I went or what I did) ringing in my ear on the same side, which lasted in that extreme intensity for about a week to 10 days. This was the beginning of my very intense downhill slide from mercury poisoning, and the intense ringing, along with the very stiff neck 16-20 hours after the dental work were the very first symptoms. Followed within days by numb biceps, then forearms, then hands, followed by numerous other symptoms i've told you all about previously.
It subsided pretty much on it's own after about 7-10 days, I guess as the mercury became less locally located and spread throughout my body and even was somewhat naturally eliminated, to a faint constant ringing. It subsided almost altogether after several weeks of heavy duty chelation. By now it is almost gone completely, I would say gone completely but I still get faint reminders of it now and then.
Just my experience, though there certainly could be other causes.

i never had tinnitus before removal, it came on 2 weeks after along with other symptoms i never had before, probably due to being exposed to alot more mercury.

Ringing in the ears (which some people experience as a kind of buzzing or high frequency whine) can definitely be caused by mercury exposure. My thought is that when your amalgams were removed, perhaps you were exposed to large amounts of mercury vapor (especially if you didn't have your own oxygen or if the dentist didn't use a HEPA-type vacuum during the drilling procedure). Even with all the safety precautions in place, it seems only reasonable that there would be at least some minimal mercury vapor exposure. Plus, once all the amalgams are removed, according to Hal Huggins, you body starts releasing some of the "stored" mercury in your tissues, which makes its way into the bloodstream for removal from the body via the liver and colon. Some of the mercury can very easily get re-absorbed back into the blood circulation to be re-deposited in various fatty tissues such as the brain. If you're a caffeine-drinker, caffeine allows mercury to pass through the cell walls much easier, according to Dr. Boyd Haley. I hope this helps as a possible explanation for what you're experiencing. I've found that Algin works great for eliminating the ringing in my ears that I almost always experience after drinking tea (regular black or even green tea, since I'm not a coffee or soda drinker).

Interestingly, mercury: - interferes with magnesium, essentially causing a deficiency,
- blocks the methylation of B-12, raising homocysteine levels,
- interferes with the utilization of vitamin C, and
- promotes candida.
<img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" /> also iron deficiency can cause ringing in the ears, does anyone know if mercury interferes with iron absroprtion?

People Ringing in the ear is caused most likely from your gall bladder meridian being inflammed - it wraps around your ears, and when inflammed will tighten around your drums causing ringing. Mercury will sit in your liver, gall bladder and adrenals...amongst other places. Detox your liver/GB if ears are ringing, and then try DMSA under Andy Cutler's rules. TCM's meridian theory uses the Gall Bladder meridian to treat some forms of tinnitus as it can often carry internal wind upward into the head which can explain some stress induced forms of tinnitus or sudden hearing loss. Additionally, the Gall Bladder meridian directly enters the ear and can be needled in order to address many different forms of tinnitus. http://www.harmonyhealth.com/page31.html

Hi, i have only taken cilantro in tablet form but that was way after tinnitus started. I tried accupuncture but that didnt work,it made me worse and caused alot of anxiety too. I was exposed to alot of mercury during removal, only a rubber dam for .protection, nothing else. I have heard that fluoride can cause tinnitus. I dont have any caffeine but i do know that it makes it worse but mine is never eliminated.
