Does anyone have any bad reports on Filtek Supreme Composites, which are up to 25% Bisphenol A?

Hi, I have filtek supreme in two of my molars and whether coincidence or not, I got much worse after those particular composites went in. But again I had wisdom teeth out at that time too, so could have been from that (possible cavitation).

I would probably not recommend them because I am not sure about them as a material. I dont feel right with them and heard from someone else on another forum that didn't either. Plus a lady here called Scarlet was mentioning how she felt healthwise with them and she was not happy either.

I know they contain phenol. I have been shown incompatible with these composites on my serum test form.....but again testing can be a little bit dubious sometimes and I have gotten contradictory results before.

I dont think there is any such thing as a truly safe material, but there will be something that your body will handle better than something else and this also depends on other loads your body is carrying at the sametime.

I have found cerec to be one of the best materials I have heard about so far, but there will be others. Unfortunately cerec is a ceramic/porcelain so costs much more! But does not appear to have quite the chemicals that many other materials do. And does not apparently tend to leach out its components as much as amalgam and composites do either.

You will find the place where it mentions dental materials and what they have discovered. But again, everbody is different and there are plenty of people who have done just fine with composites and have improved from mercury toxicity... so it's hard to say how a person will handle their removal and their replacement.

I know that people tend to favor the Diamond range of materials for their composite replacements and have heard pretty good outcomes with an old material called heliomolar HB. Though it too contains some of the undesirables, they all do to some extent.

A biological dentist in Aussie, does not use anything else other than Cerec or heliomolar for his patients, he feels they are the most reliable biocompatibility wise and mechanically also. Good hard materials apparently.

Problem I feel now is trying to figure out what is mercury causing and what is this new composite doing. Hopefully there is a window before the new stuff could cause permanent damage. By then, maybe they will have something great.

What symptoms do you feel got worse after these were put in? For me - and it could be the mercury - I have sometimes dry burning eyes, and increased fatigue, and sometimes my mouth aches where the fillings are when I wake up. But I am 1 year post removal and improving though I still feel off and on poorly.

I need to get my story together to share with people someday, but I do want to thank all the great people on this forum for their help. What blows my mind is 2-3 years ago I knew nothing about this, and finally figured out (A Miracle!) that I have had symptoms for 30 years! Reading the posts here has been a great source of help. I pray that all of us shall be healed together.

Hi you're welcome <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />. Well, I was already in trouble before I had those particular composites put in because of a bacterial infection that wrecked havoc on my entire system/mind. So damage was done already!

But here is what seemed to occur around the time those composites were put in (the filtek supreme ones) and the sametime I got wisdom tooth out.

I became basically sicker, in the respect mentally and physically. It is hard for me to describe symptoms because they are often inexplicable. But exhaution beyond anything I have experienced, exercise intolerance, unable to heal or detox properly, no feeling of going forwards anymore no matter what efforts were made. Gut problems, yeast issues that I can no longer control properly, heat intolerance, cold intolerance, unable to perspire properly, A feeling of things being blocked or just unable to eliminate toxins. Terrors, nightmares, insomnia or oversleeping etc etc.

Many symptoms, but again the bacterial infection did so much damge that it seemed from then on I became suspetible to other things far more. So it is hard for me to pinpoint what maybe responsible for what.

So indeed it may not be the filtek supreme at all, but certainly they were put in during that time, so I dont associate good things with them put it that way.

Your symptoms could be mercury coming out of you also, so yes you wont know what is doing what. very hard! Also when you are mercury poisoned, you can be reactive to many other things, so it's a catch 22 situation. You are poisoned with mercury, so you are suspeptible to reactions so you could find yourself reacting to a composite you might normally have no problem with.

I believe a lot of the issue is overall load on the immune system. It can take quite a bit, but juggle too much at once and things can collapse. This is why I stick to this candida diet because it is really the only control I have. It doesn't cure because I have problems that are quite permanent, but it can "aid" my body in dealing easier with other things.

You may later decide that you might wish to replace your existing composites with something more durable and stable anyway. 2 people on here got cerec and are doing ok. Nothing worse put it that way and they are recovering from mercury. one was highly chemically sensitive, so that was encouraging to me.

So if I were you, I would concentrate now on aiding eliminating mercury from your tissues etc, eating well and keeping yeast issues at bay by diet and later possibly consider a more bicompatible, stable, harder restoration material that may have less chemicals and is not so leachable.

Take my advice, avoid wisdom tooth removal if you can, that may have been what also stuffed me up (can lead to cavitations if not done right) and never water down your mascara! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" /> lol, this might sound odd, but my bacterial infection came from an infected mascara because I kept watering it down. I try and warn women over that because some do it often when their mascara goes dry. very bad move, very risky and for me it all but ruined my life. I had previously gotten away with it for years, oneday I didnt and a bacteria got in and caused permanent damage to my immunity and who knows what else. Started with an eye infection and spread from there into my body.

The bacteria was so vicious that it spread to every other eye cosmetic and I threw them all out. Unfortunately one of them I thought had not been infected was, and a year later I used it and contracted the infection in the eyes again and worsened my condition even more! So these apparent "eye infections" from eye cosmetics that have been stupidly watered down by idiots like myself, can actually go into the rest of your system if your immunity is already compromiised (e.g by mercury) and possibly cause you an illness that is worse than mercury! It has also made me incredibly suseptible to toxins and I can get ill now from limited toxic exposure for a long long period of time afterwards. They get in, but dont seem to come out.
