I am not going to give in and take chemo...I refuse, my tumor marker tests went up 19 points this month...scared me to death for 2 days, I was really down, but was encouraged to read this...just what I am doing on the Gerson therapy...it is all about iodine and thyroid hormones to reverse the cancer. I hope and pray that is works. Here is the site if anyone is interested... http://life-enthusiast.com/condition/hormones/iodine_thyroid.htmWish me luck and keep me in your prayers please. best love, Sandi xoxo

Thanks for the examples Tracy. I would just add, though, that supplements (including vitamin C) are absolutely crucial for fighting cancer, and sometimes it helps if a professional can recommend them. I've heard stories myself of people starting a supplement protocol, changing their diets, and watching their cancer disappear. Cancer cells actually occur in our bodies quite often. It's when the immune system starts to malfunction that they start causing problems. You might like to look into the work that Linus Pauling did on this.
Keep fighting Sandi. I wish you well, I think you're doing great work <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

sandi, i will pray for you! have you read the book by loraine day, cancer doesnt scare me. this is one of the books i will have in my collection when i can afford it, she cured her own cancer. do what you are doing,i wouldnt do any chemo at all,i would do my own thing, your very brave to have had chemo in the first place. i know your juicing, coffee enemas, apricot kernals so thats great, how many apricot kernals do you take? i take 20 a day. i know of people being made worse by conventional medicine and gone to alternative and got cured, as long as you do it right, some people dont know what theyre doing so it coyld very well fail, but i know you sandi, and im sure you are doing all the right things. lots of love, dawn xx

Thanks so much to all of you, I will look for that book, thanks Dawn. I can't eat the apricot kernels, no nuts at all, I can't digest them and I cannot afford to get plugged up. That would feed more candida and cancer loves candida.
I can just do my best, if I die, I want to die sane, not crazy from the chemo and the mercury. I often still consider it though Tracy, but somehow talk myself out of it each time. The drs told me that the chemo would not cure me, just buy me more time...at what expense? But hey you never know down the line what might happen. I won't discount any treatment at this point.
best love and thanks for all the kindness...
Sandi xoxo

Hi Sandi, I just wondered what kind of cancer you have?A few months ago I watched an amazing presentation dvd on natural progesterone, and started taking it myself,I don't have cancer but had various other problems for years. The lady talking about it had experienced breast cancer herself &gone down the medical route of treatments. She talks about how her medical treatment was not helping &it was when she took charge of her own health that she recovered her health, she is well &healthy today, and travels worldwide to tell men & women about this wonderfull cream. Apparently we are living in a sea of oestrogens (from foods,pollution...)and are most of us, if not all, deficient in this calming hormone. Maybe you already take this stuff? They're website is www.naturone.comDo you meditate and /or do any visualisations, you probably do all this stuff,I thought I'd mention it anyhow. I fear chemotherapy more than cancer! I hope you have lots of support around you with people who understand & respect your decisions. Sunflower

Thanks for the input Sunflower, I have actually been considering some natural progesterone, and I think you have just confirmed my decisions....I appreciate it very much.
I took some more chemo on Friday, a different kind with no heavy metals and much less harsh....and I am feeling so much better already. I have switched clinics and drs and was told that the chemo they had been using was obviously the wrong one, thank God I refused anymore. My count went up to over 1800, it was jumping 400 points a week, so I needed more aggressive treatment than diet or juicing. But this will hopefully extend my life span a couple of years, time enough to look for alternative stuff or pray for a miracle. I am not giving up, just cause I had to give in.
Thanks for all you do guys, sorry for my absence, but this is quite a roller coaster ride.
I will keep you posted as things progress, and progress they will!!! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cheerleader.gif" alt="" />

Dogmatism has no place when a person's health and even life are at stake; we simply have to do what works for us. I hope you have found it Sandi. I think you're in a better position to deal with this than the vast majority of people, due to your knowledge of alt med. I'll be keeping you in my thoughts xx

Thanks to all you sweet folks for the encouragement and ongoing support. And btw Sunflower, my cancer is ovarian. I am going to try the progesterone after I see what this chemo does for me. I don't want to add too many variables at a time.
best love, Sandi xoxo
