i have a couple of teeth with receeding gums so i started oil pulling, it was like a miracle in a couple of months my gums were looking really good but i think i tried too hard, i now have terrible face, jaw, neck, head, ear pain and my tinnitus has come back with avengence, i went too far with it. im not saying it doesnt work but if you oil pull go slowly not vigerously like me, anyway its just like me to keep making mistakes with my healh all the time, now have another poblem to deal with and the pain in excruitiating. when i had my first 3 amalgams removed i had this pain then, maybe it was my tmjoints, and i thought it was mercury symptoms.

You definitely need to check out "The Secret" at www.saveyourteeth.com. It will make a big difference for you. Be sure to note that if you still have mercury amalgam fillings, you will want to use colloidal silver rather than peroxide.

Oh, and I forgot to add that mercury fillings caused my gums to recede. It took me 20 years to make the connection, but after getting my old dental records, the correlation was quite clear. My gums were so bad that I had surgery to graft tissue and stop the receding. My gums have mostly come back after having the mercury out.

i wish i could use baking soda and salt but my teeth are far too sensitive, i tried hydrogen peroxide, my gums burnt badly. tea tree oil is the only thing i can use as a mouth wash. my receeding gums started after amalgam removal unfortunatly, this is bloody annoying, i cant even oil pull, that was working very well before it gave me jaw, face and head pain.

Hi Dawn, I had the same thing. Frankly I did not find that baking soda, salt, or any of those products ever did a thing for my gums. I even tried bar soap, because that's supposed to be great, not only does it disinfect gums, but it actually cleans teeth properly without leaving a film on them, which apparently allows for the enamel to grow back properly and calcium and phosphate in diet to get into the teeth again. Did it work on me? I don't believe it did. I gave it a good go too. Every day and night I brushed with the soap and I didn't really notice any real improvements to be honest. Hydrogen peroxide also burnt my gums and even though I mixed it in with the baking soda and salt. So that was it for me, I was not going to take anymore chances. I went onto colgate total toothpaste and guess what? My gums and teeth are actually better than they were with any of these healthy alternatives....they IMPROVED. And I have some form of gum disease too. So I don't really know what to say, other than I have an ADA approved toothpaste (and I don't trust the ADA as far as I could throw them)...yet it is working....I now do not get the staining on my teeth as I was getting before because I drink tea without milk. So my teeth start getting stained over time. WIth this toothpaste? The staining doesn't occur. I don't know if that's good or bad though, because that may mean that the film created by the toothpaste doesn't allow anything to stick there.....could that mean nutrients too? I don't know. But I do know that certain I have not noticed any deterioration from using this toothpaste, rather I am quite certain there has been some improvement. I floss every night after brushing too. I still need more probably because I have low immunity and cannot control infection. Therefore sometimes I use a gum irrigation device with "Ultimate Gum solution". I just pretty much inject the stuff in there with the gum irrigator they provide. And over time, it works, but it needs to be maintained if you have an ongoing problem. Here is the website. www.1stultimategumsolution.com I found that after I had it under control by using this stuff once in the morning and once at night, I just maintained it by using it once at night. Sometimes I stopped altogether and then maintained it with just my flossing and brushing, but usually it came back if I cheated on my diet or something else happened like a re-exposure of mercury or whatever. So I'd usually have to do it again. You'll know yourself how your gums are. You also know when you really need the gum stuff again, because the gum irritator being pushed into your gum hurts. When it hurts? You got problems there again. As it gets easier, it's controlling the infection. The only downside to this stuff, is that I don't consider that one gets much for their money. It may not seem expensive, but when you find you need more of it to really get into the gum, it doesn't last all that long. So that side of it is annoying. You need to buy more than one at a time to get more miliage out of it. I usually buy two at a time. It does definitely work. My gums became a nice lighter pink colour too. I figure that gum disease or any dental infection/disease is an ongoing strain on the immunity so though low immunity may have caused or allowed it to happen in the first place, it's a vicious cycle that then puts more load on the immune system and it then cannot handle the other toxins as well. I found coincidentally? that my overall health seemed to improve after after a few weeks of using that product.

Bex, thankyou so much for this info, i think il order the stuff right away, its what ive been looking for, i cant find the irrigator on there though! I think colgate total is a very good toothpaste, i went onto natural ones a couple of yrs ago, maybe that is why my gums receeded, who knows? I might try it again and rinse properly after. Cheers Dawn x:)

Hi Dawn, no problem. You order the one-minte dental care "travel kit" one. It has the irrigator thing with it and container to keep it in and one bottle of ultimate gum solution. You start off with that one (if you want), then when you re-order, you just order however many gum solutions you want. If the irrigator breaks or whatever, you can just order another one, you won't need the box that contains it if you've already got the travel kit. It sells the irrigator alone if you need another one. Here is the order page http://www.1stultimategumsolution.com/shop.php Scroll down to where you start seeing the travel kit one and/or the the irrigator one alone. It's up to you if you want the travel kit one, but I think it's good having the container for it. You really need it to penetrate the gums! Literally getting to the root of the problem and then you start to see results. You can simply maintain once you get improved gums. I guess I should have always maintained it and kept to doing it once each night before bed, or at least a few nights a week, but I dropped off completely and managed to do ok, but problem is, once you get another knock to your health? usually the problems return. I personally believe that keeping gum infection levels down, is just another strain removed from your immunity. I don't think the stuff needs to be used 3 times a day by the way. They say this on the instructions when you get it, but there is no way the stuff would last anytime at all. Two times a day was enough for me and then, as I said, just once at night to maintain it. You can stick with twice a day if you feel it's more effective. Yep, good old colgate total! Who would have thought I'd actually go back to using toothpaste after trying to much else to no avail? I floss every night too, I think that's important.

"Receding gums" is another way of saying osteoporosis of the jawbones. Bex's recommendations sound like what I would try.
Animals feel pain & suffering just as we do, and they value their lives as much as we value ours.
