Its been over two years since I got my fillings replaced...It was really serious, and I was really really sick. It affected me the most mentally. I had to drop out of college because it was just too much to take. Really glad I did, I was more active here (on this board) around that time I got them replaced. Not completely better yet, but can definitely feel a lot of changes. I never reach that point anymore where it feels like I absolutely cannot take it anymore. I always have had lots of anxiety but its been a lot better nowadays. Sleeping better than I have ever in my life. I have a problem with being cold now, or feeling too hot if its too hot. I've always had problems with being too hot, but the cold thing is new to me, it didn't start until the winter before my amalgam removal, but I'm confident it will get better with time. Theres so much I've learned about the body and the mind from being sick, and its been the biggest learning experience of my lifetime. I am very grateful for getting to fight through this. Its hard trying to give advice to people who are still really sick. It seems like everybody is different in how they react to things and what they need to get better. Its all about struggling to find some balance so your body has a chance to heal and cleanse and rebuild. For me what has worked I believe is eating wholesome traditional foods, including healthy fats and fermented raw dairy products. Fresh air, sunshine, gentle exercise, and good sleep are all essential. I also believe supplementing with time tested herbs and herbal extracts is great too. The biggest thing I have learned is to not overdo anything. Don't eat too much at a time. Our digestive tracks all full of toxins while we are mercury sick and the more food we cram in the less we digest it properly and we just feed nasty organisms. Don't exercise too hard. This was the one that broke me. I thought I was sick and depressed while I had amalgams because I wasn't focused and disciplined enough, so I pushed my body hard and got into kung fu and really worked my off. I really stressed my body and didn't get my worst symptoms until after pushing it physically for almost 2 years. I was eating a great diet at the time but it wasn't enough. I still feel the effects today and it was like 3 years ago. I always send my love to everybody when I read this board. Mercury poisoning is such a tough battle. The only way I made it through the toughest parts was by taking refuge in a higher power. I put my trust and god and figured whatever happened was meant to be...and just waited as patiently as I could while the horrible feelings passed. I'm 22 now, and managed to make a trip cross country 6 months post amalgam removal to live on a ranch in southern CA. I take care of horses, goats, and chickens and milk the goats. I also garden and am planting an orchard. I am very connected to the people I live with on the ranch, and everybody is so appreciate and grateful for the good energy I have brought here. Take care folks, there is light at the end of the tunnel, even if you can't see it yet. -Gary

I had 10 large fillings replaced. I had fillings in my baby teeth too. Then I had braces when I was in 9th grade and it definitely got worse after that.
Chelating varied, tried many different things. I think the biggest thing was using a sauna. I have a little portable infrared. I also tried a lot of natural chelators, aged garlic extract, kombucha, miso, raw garlic, kelp, algin, etc...etc... I tried so many different things, including no carb diet but always felt the rollercoaster of sometimes feeling too anxious and energized and sometimes feeling too drained and worn out.
Never tried cutlers regimen, was trying a more natural approach using whole foods and natural herbs etc... Now that I think about it I pretty much followed Hal Huggins protocol, which specifically includes large amount of butter (he recommends like a stick a meal, which I do still follow)...and I always made sure the butter was organic, pastured, and raw if possible.

May I suggest this book - Hypothryoidism Type 2 by Mark Starr, MD .. Changes in basal body temperature are dependent upon the function of the thyroid. This book may help you. Also read about Wilson's Syndrome - http://www.knoxintegrativemed.com/wilson's%20syndrome.htmCongratulations on in the success of your health and I wish the the best for the future <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/byebye.gif" alt="" />

I was going to chime in with checking out thyroid function. Temperature dysregulation, especially sensitivity to cold, is a classic symptom. The thyroid has to work twice as hard when it's cold and dark, so winter is usually when symptoms are most noticeable.
