Fluoride-Related Symptoms- Weight loss, chronic fatigue not alleviated by rest, general weakness, depression
- Headaches, bone, joint and muscle pain, muscle spasms
- Brittle bones and teeth, tinnitus
- Anemia, acidosis, reddish spots on skin, slight bleeding from nose lining
- Blurred vision, dizziness, poor balance, numbness and tingling of extremities
- Depression, difficulty concentrating, loss of mental alertness, nervousness
- Excessive thirst, kidney inflammation, frequent urination
- Nausea, diarrhea, constipation, blood in stools, flatulence, abdominal pain
- Damage to internal organs, and to cellular biochemistry & thyroid functioning
How To Detox FluorideDuring sauna-based detoxification, and during heavy exercise, fluorine appears to mobilize from body stores. In sufficient quantities, such dumping can cause the symptoms of acute fluorine poisoning and have serious consequences. The fluorine re-entering the circulation can cause acidity (possibly hydrofluoric acid or related compound). Several measures have been found helpful adjuncts to sauna detox and general alleviation of fluoride-intoxication symptoms: - Avoidance of acidic foods, such as citrus fruits
- Large quantities of supplemental calcium carbonate , which not only helps to de-acidify the body, but also binds fluorine --assisting in safe excretion of fluorine, and also helping replenish body calcium stores depleted by fluorine.
- Ingestion of a tablespoonful of lecithin twice daily, which helps protect nerve sheaths and kidney linings from corrosion/acidity
- Deep breathing of clean, fresh air when the body feels acidic and during the detox procedures, to help remove fluorine through respiration, and relieve some of the stress on the kidneys.
- Ingestion of copious amounts of fluorine-free water, to dilute body concentrations of fluoride and facilitate safe excretion
- Use of Stellaria spp. (common chickweed ) as a tea. This plant, a common garden weed which is edible in apparently unlimited quantities without toxic effect, helps soothe inflamed kidneys. It should be gathered from areas free from animal contact and from pesticide/auto exhaust drift. Washed thoroughly, it can then be dried (maintaining color and activity) by placing in open container in a refrigerator, turning gently every day or so until thoroughly dried. It can then be stored in dark containers for a few months. Dose about half to full teaspoon of dried plant per 1 cup boiling water. Bring to boil, simmer a few minutes, then steep for 15-20 minutes. One or two swallows at a time as desired.
- The sauna used in detoxification should either be "dry sauna," or if an Indian-type sweat lodge is used, then fluoride-free water should be used. Steam saunas using tap water may, in fluoride-containing water areas, add to the problem rather than helping to resolve it.
- Hair loss due to fluoride poisoning (also useful in treatment of organic mercury-related hair loss). After gently washing with "natural" shampoo and rinsing, gently rub into scalp "organic" cold-pressed olive oil to which has been added: a bit of strong nettle (Urtica sp, commonly available in health food stores) tea, and dissolved vitamin/mineral supplements as desired (not too much). After rubbing into scalp and hair, wrap head (paper towels, cloth, etc.) for about 20 minutes, then wash out.

Hi Russ,
I am thinking that if you're been living in US for a while then you are most likely needing a Flouride detoxification, because you get way too much of it here. Wondering if flouride has a similar effect on the mind as the mercury, since both love to accumalate in the brain. Does the above Flouride Detox removes Flouride from the brain?

I remember one oral surgeon telling me that they add fluoride to the water to prevent cavities and make teeth stronger. I am wondering whether he really believed that or was misinforming me. No fluoride is good for you, even in the toothpastes, so why drink it? How do you avoid fluoride Russ? My shower filter removes chloride, but I don’t think it removes fluoride, for it doesn’t say that it does. Does your filter removes fluoride along with chloride?

Wow , your question is soo timely!
I just got a Kenmore Water distiller (the simple plug-in type where you dont have to mess with your plumbing) and one of the things it says that it purifies out of the water is Flouride and mercury!!
I got it at Sears for $99.00 on sale . It is normallly $128. Reading one of the users reviews, they're model is still going strong after 2 years.
I believe the sale is still going on this week- since I just bought it this past weekend.
I ordered it online and chose the option to pick it up at my local Sears store-- otherwise, i could have selected it to be shipped to my address.
IF you get this water purifier-- toss out the first 2 batches of distilled water -- since it will bring out all the solvents and chemicals used in factory manufactoring of all the parts .
After the 3rd batch of distilled water, you can begin drinking it.
It takes 5 hours to distill the water- and extreemly easy to use.
I have well-water in my area, and though it doesnt contain flouride or chlorine (Thank God!) it does contain alot of other junk and lime- which builds up in the body to bad levels.
You should see the dirty film left behind after I distill only one batch of water!

Hi Boldylocks,
The distiller you got seems to me like a good deal. As for me, I go to a local food store and get reverse osmosis water. What I actually wanted to know was a shower filter that inhibits fluoride along with chloride. Since the skin is the most absorbant organ, both of the chemicals get on you and through you causing all kinds of illness. As of late I have been showering less than once a day. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/crazy.gif" alt="" />

One substance is experimentally shown to help Fluoride elimination via the kidneys. Tamarind. http://www.fluoride-journal.com/00-33-1/331-33.pdfYou might buy a jar of tamarind paste/concentrate from an Indian or Thai grocer (its pleasantly sour). But be careful if your have poor kidneys. Fluoride causes kidney disease; and poor kidney function means you retain more fluoride with potentially disastrous consequences. Only a Renal specialist might be able to say if encouraging more Fluoride to pass out of poor kidneys was wise? http://www.fluoridealert.org/health/kidney/Len

Hello, and thanks for the info. I've heard the detailed histories of the Aluminum manufacturers (Alcoa) and fertilizer manufacturers as well and how they get paid to dispose their formerly toxic waste in the water supply of over 50% of American cities. I only wish people would wake up and realize that the ptb have drugged them, stolen their money and virtually made them unable to support themselves. Fluoride is one of many evils they utilize to accomplish this: http://herballure.com/bibledrugsAnother is mercury. Thanks again for the great info. Keep spreading it.

Fluorine, Bromine, Chlorine are very similar molecularly to iodine. The thyroid needs iodine to function properly. So what happens is the iodine is displaced by the Fluoride, Bromide and Chlorine. Then your thyroid becomes full of the toxic minerals rather than iodine. God only knows what this may cause-possibly hypothyroidism. The only way I know to rid the body of fluoride is with Iodine supplementation. If you are really toxic the detoxing symptoms from bromide and fluoride can be pretty wicked. Here is a site that talks about iodine in more depth. http://www.alkalizeforhealth.net/Liodine2.htm

When we lived in VA it smelled like a swimming pool when you ran bath water. I have drunk bottled water ever since...

Jeanie I don't want to scare you or anything, but bottled water isn't always better. You have to watch what type of plastic it is sitting in too. http://trusted.md/blog/vreni_gurd/2007/03/29/plastic_water_bottlesDasani was recalled and kicked out of the UK a few years ago because it had higher than normal levels of bromate in it. Hehe remember bromate directly effects thyroid function. It's known to increase cancer risk too. http://www.usatoday.com/money/industries/food/2004-03-19-dasani_x.htmMost of these bottled waters are simply tap water that has been put through a light filtration to get chlorine out. Nothing more than a Brita. Some do say reverse osmosis, so I give them some credit for that. http://www.commondreams.org/headlines04/0304-04.htmThe other terrible things in water will still be in there including possibly fluoride. Most water facilities in the US are now testing positive for birth control pills, painkillers, anti-convulsants and psychotropic drugs. They say it's safe because of how little is in there....right. They say mercury is safe. lol http://www.cnn.com/2008/HEALTH/03/10/pharma.water1/index.htmlI'm not a crazy tree hugger, but bottled watered has substantially increased waste. Plastic bottles basically never break down and some bottle types may not be recyclable. People who buy their water from a machine in the store need to make sure that the store is actually CHANGING the filter elements on time. Often times you think the water is clean and pure (which it would have been) but stuff is falling through because the filter is old and needs replaced. Who knows what type of bacteria could be growing inside the machine. Never ever ever ever buy a slushie drink at a restaurant...My in-laws are in the refrigeration business. Drink machines are NEVER cleaned. There is mold in those things. Same with ice machines at restaurants. Don't get ice. If I had unlimited money, the first thing I'd do is buy every single type of bottled water and have it analyzed for everything. Then I'd go to every water company, ice making company and analyze their water. I'd put water in different types of plastic, shake them around, put them in normal "hot" temperatures, then test them again. I'd make a website with all this information for people to see. hehe That would probably cost me quite a bit of money. Maybe if I become famous I can do that. Once all the water data was complete, then I'd start on food.

Thanks, BL. Actually, though, we have several food grade 3-5 gallon bottles we go fill up manually. Much cheaper that way.... I use to just put them on a crock, but we have a cooler now. I use to go fill up a big bottle when I was single in UT.....this chiropractor had this spicket which was basically mountain spring water running fresh. That was good, too, but haven't run into such a thing since : ) I do, however, recycle by big 1.5 liter bottles that I carry around. Not too often, though. I use Culligan Reverse Osmosis since we lived in Alaska and, now, here. In VA there was a place that distilled it, and I even owned a distiller, but it makes a place hot. I have 2, now, but not in the best working order. I use to be a stay at home mom....now am working. (Took a lot of time).

Hello, I am new at this Forum. Over the course of several years I was overprescribed Cipro (as I know NOW, fluoride-based antibiotic). Also, I've been drinking fl.-laced tap water and a lot of the "healthy" green tea all my life. Also, fl. tooth paste (what ignorance!!). The consequences are too severe to describe here. In a word, I am now over 50 and a complete wreck (see Russ's posting at the top of this page. I have all of the above plus systemic vasculitis - continuous inflammation of ALL blood vessels, big and tiny). Taking Calcium Carbonate for fluoride detox seems to make sense. However, I've never been able to take Ca Carbonate or ANY FORM of Calcium (citrate, chelated, liquid, etc.) without clogging my gall bladder and kidneys with Calcium gravel in a couple of days.Had to go to ER many times. Also, Ca caused stomach inflammation. Even though I regularly take digestive enzymes, including betaine HChl, Ca supplements are off limits to me. (I do not have any stone problems UNLESS I take Calcium supplements). Actually, my Dr. (who is also interested in alternative medicine)confirmed that there is no form of calcium that can be fully absorbed by human body. I WONDER IF ANYONE HAS THE SAME PROBLEM. Also, does anybody know the best RO filter? There are so many I am confused.

Forgot to add my thoughts on chickweed (Stellaria Media) for fluoride detox (see Russ's posting above). It is an edible herb, added to salads and seems to have good nutrient content (see http://www.altnature.com/gallery/chickweed.htm). But, it is described as a LAXATIVE, among other things. - O-u-uf. This is one thing I do not need!!! HAS ANYONE TRIED IT? Like most other people I know, I even have problems taking my Magnesium supplements (Mag.Malate) - ALL of them are potent laxatives, Often have to take Immodium after my Mag.Malate (But I have to continue taking it as Malic Acid/Malate is A GREAT MERCURY DETOXIFIER.) So what about chickweed? I want to ask Russ, why chickweed??? What would it do for fluoride sitting in my body?
