FDA Allowing Undisclosed Selling of Genetically Modified Animals

If the Wall Street bailout was hard to swallow, the government is preparing a Halloween trick that just may be impossible to stomach.

The Food and Drug Administration is opening the way for grocery stores to sell food made from genetically engineered animals. And the agency is proposing that these products, called "Frankenfoods" by some, be sold to you without your knowledge.

Sign our online petition demanding that food from genetically engineered animals be labeled. We have the right to know what we are eating!

Genetically engineered animals are not a far-off, exotic concept. It's happening right now. Goats are engineered with spider genes to produce silk in their milk. And pigs carry mouse and bacterial DNA to improve their digestion.

The jury is still out on whether food from these animals is safe for humans or the environment. And the ethics of such changes have yet to be considered.

The FDA says they will conduct a safety review before these foods can be sold for human consumption. But consumers won't know if they're buying genetically engineered food, because the agency isn't going to require a label.

We know what's in the can of soup we buy because the label tells us. Shouldn't we know if the meat we buy comes from a pig with another animal's genes, or whether our milk has insect DNA in it?

Sign our petition and show the FDA that Americans want to know what's in their food!

Get this...when I got sick I stopped buying regular meat and have been buying natural beef at HEB, well lately I have had a hard time finding it in the store. That is the only place in town to buy it too! Yesterday I was getting grocerys and I asked one of the butchers why they did not have it anymore and he said they did not want them to sell it. I said who and of course he just looked at me and smiled...then I got it. I said oh who, he shrugged his shoulders and smiled...I said it's the government huh and of course he smiles again and just nods nicely. What a farce they want ya sick no matter what...it's all about the money and now they just want us dead and out of their way. BTW I tried some regular meat last night and instantly had stomach problems so I guess I will become a vegetarian. He did tell me that Heb in midland still sells it which means I have to travel 60 miles round trip to get the meat I can eat. I will too because there is no way I am gona damage all the work I've done on clearing all this crap from my body. Just thought that might interest someone and also explain why it's gona get harder to find any decent foods.

I guess this answers the question as to why they don't want the stores to sell natural...they are getting ready to pass the GM meats off to the public. This sucks who wants to eat food with crap in it and now it's even worse...an animal created by them. Can you say Dr. Jeckell and Mr. Hyde. I just wonder what all of this will do to people?

Have you read all that stuff on the new nano foods. They have the new plastics out on the shelves already. Miriacle whip all new says on the bottle NEW...I looked at it and no new ingredients so whats new, the plastic it comes in that's what. It's suppose to slide out of the jar leaving no mayo in the jar. No waste now...what a waste of human life though. Nothing is fair anymore but I guess there is nothing fair about evil HUH?

It might not sound related, but if you think about it, if Obama gets elected and gets the socialized medicine he wants the govt. will be having more and more control of us. I don't know if its actually the govt. doing the nutritional stuff - its more like they are puppets of the profit driven institutions, but in the end its all about good and evil.

Palin just brought up socialism! Ron Paul may be better according to many on here, but there is no way he is going to get it so its best to choose someone who is plausible. I worry that those not picking either will send it over to Obama and that is much scarier.

I think we should find small local farmers who care about what they do, and buy direct from them.

I have several relatives who grew up on farms and drank raw milk and ate real meat. They lived (and still live) past 80.

As long as evils are "sufferable" people remain complacent. This is why chemtrails are sprayed at a rate that most people don't really notice them too much (only the sensitive ones do). This way, they can continue spraying for a longer period of time.
