I was awaiting the completion of Denis' puzzle before posting this "LINKWORDS".

Add a Linkword to the end of the word on the left and the beginning of the word on the right to form two compound words of phrases. The dashes indicate the number of letters in the Linkword. For example, if the words were PEANUT _ _ _ _ _ _ FLY, the Linkword would be BUTTER ( Peanut butter, Butterfly).

I actually had written in "BLIND" but it was not correct. The correct answer is still something I had not heard of until my husband said, "Yes that is correct." LOL!

I'll let you in on a 'little secret', Bex girl, I also thought that #8 was DOG. Thereby being, HOT / DOG / FORCE .

Sorry to say that is INcorrect. You know, maybe the Police do have what they call a 'dog force'. hmmmmmmm. So perhaps we should accept that one?? WSY? Actually when you find out what the puzzle book has, you'll say 'of course, I should have guessed that one!' So, let's just say, in case no one else offers the Puzzle book's reply, that DOG is acceptable? OK?

Bex, you and Denis both are from another Country, therefore it is understandable that perhaps our English words/sayings may not be understood or used where you live.

Let's see if Denis comes up with something else for #2, 8, 9 . Then we can maybe 'wind this thing down', and concentrate on his other post. Actually I haven't even read it yet. I see that Lynn replied so maybe it's already answered. I'll go check it out now. Thank you, Denis and Bex!

We're in Autumn here by the way I much prefer this weather than either winter or summer - which for me are too extreme. Nothing like a blue sky sunny autumn day where you get the the crispness in the air and not a sickly kind of muggy heat.

Yes, I did spring cleaning this weekend. Didn't turn my computer on very much.
