I posted a thread a few months back regarding hypoglycemia... How i had been responding badly to sugar. I had gone on a low carb diet since as i thought the problem was candida related and i actually improved over the 4 months on the diet but the last 2 days I have been getting light headed, spacey, tired, nasueas, drinking a lot of water and urinating a lot, today starting almost immediately after eating 2 handfuls of nuts. This looks like nearly all the symptoms of diabetes... I'm feeling really bad tonight i havent felt this bad in a long time... Whats the consensus on diabetes and treatment here? I already am doing a low carb diet which is recommended for type 2 diabetics. Are there any complications with insulin? Any thing i should get tested for?

I would go and get tested for diabetes just in case. I've been tested before too because of similar symptoms, yet I didn't have it. I had the excessive thirst and all those things and got really concerned, had the tests and no sign of it.
I even had vision problems too, so that REALLY started to get to me. I was certain things were spiralling down....well they were, I was 17 years old, I had candida and I had amalgams and didn't make any connection. I believe both were at work on me and I didn't know it.
However, even when I DID address those things, symptoms often do return with a vengeance, just when you think you're improving, they often reappear. I like to consider that it "can" be retracing and sometimes you get them much more exaggerated than before as your body is attempting to heal the problem areas.
I can't explain the nuts side of it as such, other than it "might" be a little high in carbs, but again it doesn't seem nearly significant enough to cause this. Other than the fact you ate something and the symptoms decided to start right after. I've had this too and then I associate it with the very thing I ate and often it isn't, but I think it is. So it's not easy to figure out what is doing what.
At one point I decided beef mince was causing problems, because it appeared after I ate it, I'd get gurgling in the gut and funny symptoms. IT seemed worse after beef mince. I went off it and THOUGHT things had improved, but they came back regardless. So I finally went back on it and didn't notice a problem. So I can't make sense of alot of these things. There is often no rhyme or reason why something will set such symptoms off that you associate with a particular food and it may not be. Perhaps certain foods promote further healing of a particular kind sometimes and make us think it's doing something bad. Or maybe the cycle would have happened regardless....
