I also am one of those people too. The ADA knows mercury fillings gradually leach out mercury into the body. They just dont' care because it is cheap. The Conspiracy Theory side of me also wonders if they arent playing an intentional part in 'depopulation"
Anyways, Probably every "higher up" in the ADA sees to it that the children in thier families all get mercury FREE fillings

I too believe it regarding BDA and BDFA. They make me so angry to say these fillings are safe. I am totally convinced they make people sick.

I think it would be staggering if we were to find out just how many people are sick, dying and dead due to mercury fillings. The price paid in lives ruined and early graves is probably almost totally beyond belief. It is criminal.

I agree. I believe they have poisoned my mother to the hilt, which is why she is so ill now. It is criminal what they have done and it makes me want to cry when I think of all the people who are going to the dentist today who will end up either dead, disabled or mentally ill because of what they put in their teeth. They are also effectively killing babies because there are women and couples who are robbed of their babies because of this toxin. It is legal killing and maiming by ignorance.

Yes, Demi, I have 7 beautiful children by the grace of God. I also had 4 miscarriages. My sister-in-law has endometriosis and though she wanted children desparately, has never been able to conceive. I now know that mercury plays a part, probably a large part, in endometriosis. I wish I knew years ago for my sake and for hers. Aside from infertility, she is suffering so much - in different ways than I am..

I have read it also causes endiometriosis in some women. It seems to cause different things in different people, attacking genetic weaknesses. The hard thing is to know what is a genuine problem and what is caused by the mercury. And because different people have different symptoms, they say it's not proof that it causes any of them.
I'm sorry about your sister. Unless I have a miraculous recovery mentally and physically after replacement and detox, I will never have a child. Physically I think I am majorly toxic and wouldn't want to deliberately conceive while I am toxic, but I think I might be a long time as I'm going to be about 31 before I have all my fillings replaced. Mentally, I just couldn't cope with the demands of a child.
I passed my childhood dentist building today and the lights were on and I saw into the room where I got all my fillings. It really gave me shivers and a lump in my throat to think of the child I was before I had them and the very mentally sick child I became within 2 years of my first filling.
I look at pictures of my mother as a young girl and it brings tears into my eyes to see how happy and beautiful she was. Then she started to get fillings as an adult and she just isn't the same person anymore. She has OCD, has suffered severe post-natal depression, very light sensitive and started menopause in her late thirties. I think both she and I have sensitivity to mercury. And I think this is why so called experts are saying that OCD is hereditary, usually on the mother's side, because children are going to have the same genes as their mother. If we had the same hereditary condition, it doesn't make sense to me that I had it as a child and she not until well into adulthood - and the catalyst for both of us being amalgam fillings.
I don't think the mercury is directly responsible for all my health problems, but indirectly I think it may well be i.e. cause the OCD, which causes high stress, which causes depression, which causes lack of energy to always take good care of myself, which causes other problems, and then making my hormone system vulnerable which is then overthrown by the stress. I, therefore, don't think it's an exaggeration to say that mercury is the root of my health problems.
It's amazing that the only place mercury is considered safe is in the mouth. The rationality behind that is totally incomprehensible to me. Those who promote amalgam are not fit to be in care of anyone's health.

I enjoyed your post Demi. Thanks.
I believe I'm genetically prone to most of the things from which I'm currently suffering, but the mercury has caused my various ailements to surface.
I do, however, believe my symtomps will disappear, as I have seen some disappear. My IBS is all but gone, and I'm not even fully mercury free yet as I'm still detoxing.

That's so great you are getting improvement, Steve What is IBS?
I too am "optimistic" about improvement. Tic-like symptoms often accompany OCD (which to me itself suggests a neuro-toxin) and for the past 20 years they have come and gone for me - this being compulsion to blink and move my head. Also I get like compulsions to count i.e. to count how many strokes I bush my hair with. I know it sounds crazy, but I have no real control over it and when I was getting the fillings put in on a regular basis as a child, it was my life 24/7. But for a long time it got a lot better, almost went in fact, only to resurface for me this past year, but I had work done on a filling last Christmas. It's the resurface that ultimately lead to me finding out about mercury poisoning. I also have a decaying filling and may well have swallowed some - as I did once as a child when a filling fell out.
But, I've noticed improvement since taking the alginate. Within an hour of taking it, the compulsions will be dramatically less, if not gone for a while. For example, I woke up with bad compulsions this morning, took an alginate as soon as possible, and by lunch time was ok. Now it is returning as I am due for another alginate in about an hour. At first I was using the alginate sparingly because of the cost ($18 for 60) but it's been such a help to me that now I take up to 3 a day depending how bad my symptoms are and what I've eaten.
Also, so long as I keep my B vits intake up, I am not waking up with pins and needles half as often. But definitely it's not just the alginate for that, but B12, as when I stopped taking the vitamin I had bad pins and needles every night all week. I'm also taking magnesium, vit c, vit e, and selenium and omega oil a couple of times a week. For some reason zinc seem to help aswell. I didn't take it yesterday and got pins and needles last night.
I read that mercury in children causes permanent brain damage, so I am doubtful of full recovery, but as I did get better once I stopped getting the fillings and seem to respond to alginate, I do believe that considerable improvement is possible. I just wish more people with OCD would believe that mercury may be responsible and research mercury toxicity instead of going on drugs for life that offer no cure (medicine says there is no cure, only treatment which includes medication and therapy). Some people respond well to the treatment, but I really think that if mercury is the root of the problem in a lot of people, phobia counselling isn't really going to work because once one phobia is dealt with, the mercury will just trigger another in people who are prone to phobias. I was always a nervous child, but I never ever had anything like OCD until I had a filling. Over the years I've often wondered what happened to me because my gut instinct was always brain damage of some kind, especially as I was getting migraines and legs very sensitive to the touch. The only thing I could think of was a general anaesthetic I had once, about 18 months before the OCD started, but that also didn't quite make sense because I figured it would have had to be pretty instant brain damage if something had gone wrong. I believe Mercury poisoning is the only real answer to what happened to me.

Irritable Bowel Syndrom, another incureable disease.
The brain damage question is a difficult one, one i've been thinking about quite a bit. My mental symptoms are slight: low attention span, lots of low-grade headaches, tinnitus and anxiety. But as the brain is a muscle, I believe full recovery is possible. There's no point in condeming myself to this forever anyway. Hope is important.

You are absolutely right. Got to keep hopeful. I read that every cell in the body is regenerated every 7 years, and if so, there is thus a very good chance of neural regeneration etc. Alcohol has a devastating effect on the body for a limited time, but then normality is returned, so I think there's every reason to be optimistic about recovery and improvement
Maybe the chance of full recovery depends a lot on the extent of the damage done and the individual response to treatment. I think I got sicker than a lot of people do with mercury fillings, so my chances of a 100% recovery might be less, but I am very optimistic that in time I will improve significantly
An article I read that influenced me immensely was regarding how a child developed OCD after having the fillings but then recovered after removal.
