I am using 150 mg ALA + 50 mg DMSA every 3 hours for 3 day rounds(2 nights). I usually do a round a week.

My last round was 150 mg ALA+ 62 mg DMSA + Cilantro(just for the first two days of the round).

I don't know how you guys can tolerate doses so high it is going to take me forever to get up to that sort of level! I'm so pleased for you though as your immune system must be on the up!

Right now i'm doing 6.25mgs of DMSA every four hours and im eating cilantro along with it. So far im ok, if it was just DMSA on it's own i couldn't do it. Cilantro seems to do something positive.

JK really is the only one around that seems to tolerate doses that high. I only use 17mg ALA & 17mg DMSA. Any more and I get too fatigued and am not functional.

How everyone reacts to these seems to be highly individual...just like how some people can live there entire lives with mercury fillings and not complain about things like depression etc...

I started chelating with DMSA plus ALA in February. I started with 25 mg ALA + 25 mg DMSA. After a few weeks I went to 50 mg ALA plus 25 mg DMSA. My next step was to go to 50 mg ALA plus 50 mg DMSA. After that came 100 mg ALA plus 50 mg DMSA, then 150 mg ALA plus 50 mg DMSA, then my most recent round with 150 mg ALA, 62 mg DMSA plus cilantro the first two days. When the symptoms got weaker, I knew I was ready to try a higher dosage the next round. The worst that happens if the increase is too much and the symptoms are too great is that you stop the round, then the next round go back to the previous dosage. If you don't push the dosages higher, you won't make much progress. The target maximum dosage for DMSA is between 10 mg/kg/day and 30 mg/kg/day. For a 175 pound person, that means 100 to 300 mg per dose DMSA. Imo 300 mg per dose is too high, and I doubt I would go over 150 mg per dose. I do want to get to 100 mg per dose of DMSA pretty soon. I might stay at 100 mg DMSA dosage for a long time. How much ALA to use with that? Perhaps 200 mg? I doubt more than 300 mg.

I did notice some positive effects of the cilantro this round. I ate plenty of fresh cilantro, around 20 grams (3/4 of an ounce) in two days. If you are afraid of adding ALA, then you could try raising the DMSA dosage to 12 and half mg next time, and increase the cilantro. Ultimately you should add ALA as well, but imo you shouldn't add any ALA until your DMSA dosage is at least 25 mg. Then you could start with 12 and half mg of ALA.

This round I am using 150 mg ALA + 83 mg DMSA +cilantro(just the first two days). I hope this round goes well. I decided that I needed to increase the DMSA as I am also increasing the amount of cilantro. I think the cilantro was a great help last round. My cognitive problems seem to have decreased quite a bit.For those who want to try cilantro, my advice is to eat it only when using DMSA(and perhaps ALA as well), and to stop eating the cilantro a day before the round ends. I advise using fresh raw cilantro rather than the powder, and to make sure that it is quite fresh(make sure the leaves are not yellow, and that it has a strong fragrance). I think the cilantro plus ALA and DMSA seems to have a synergistic effect. I have not used cilantro without DMSA and ALA (except for the slight amount in my curry powder).

This round is not going so well. I think I increased the DMSA too fast, going from 50 mg to 83 in just two weeks. I am going to try to finish this round, and go back to 62 mg of DMSA for next round.

Just finished Round 34.
I'm at 4mg ALA only every 2.5 hours in the day and 3 hours at night. 3 days on, minimum 4 days off.
i get zero to ultra-low side effects.

i tried increasing the dose, lengthing the round...but cant hanlde any more. i might go to 5mg ALA in the next couple of months.

I am in no rush because i am effectively symptom free and back to normal now.

I just finished my 15th round, @ 17mg/ALA 17mg/DMSA every 3 hours.

I did 35 ALA rounds total so far, but I don't count the first 20 since I found a small hidden piece of mercury via x-ray after those rounds. I have completed 15 rounds though after getting this small hidden piece of mercury removed in Feb. I'm not sure whether the first 20 rounds did much, or possibly even hurt me, the mercury was pretty sealed in the tooth, but I didn't notice very much progress.

This round spanned over 8 days, and I felt great, my longest round ever. The heat was intense, almost 100F most days, and I must have sweat at least a liter of water a day(probably close to two some days!)...but it was also my smoothest longest round so far. I feel significant progress, and probably could raise the dose to 25/25, but I am not very functional with my duties on higher doses so I will stick to lower dose longer rounds since I can work and I feel much better.

Wow, 8 day rounds. I can only do 3 day rounds(2 nights), as the the sleep disruption to take night doses is a big problem for me.
I wish I could try longer rounds, however that is not an option for me.

5 days was my longest round before that...I usually start getting very unfocused and can't do my work good enough so I stop my round...but apparently the extreme heat and the sweat did something and I could chelate for longer and felt more energized/focused.

I feel much better when chelating when its hot, as I think the heat mobilizes some mercury and it gives me some issues when I'm not chelating. Thats my best guess, but whatever the case, I will chelate as much as possible while we are having the heatwaves.

JK, at some point your sleep should become more normalized and you should be able to fall back asleep effortlessly after taking a dose, and then you can attempt longer rounds...but for now I agree that you should stick to your shorter rounds and not lose too much sleep over it.

I always finish my round with a really hot epsom salt detox bath. Really make it very very hot so i sweat like crazy, followed by a 30 second cold shower. seems to almost completely remove any after round redistribution side effects.
